2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, engine and transmission are strong and precise. A/C is ice-cold. Service and maintenance is current. All the features (including ALL power options) are in proper working order. This is what is called a Slick top Police Interceptor meaning no holes on the roof or trunk. Tires are a matching set of Goodyear Eagle RSA Radials in excellent condition with full size spare also included. Has original OEM Ford spot-light in place same way as it came from the Ford dealer with new. This is a perfect example of a straight Police Cruiser. Has only 118k miles (mostly all high way). Pictures speak for themselves, clean, straight car; precise with being a Special Operations unit (see picture of key below) also meaning it was a take home car so for it was treated as it was her own. It has always been a Florida Cruiser. It is free of any odors and interior is clean. Full cloth interior unlike most Police Interceptor's in which have the plain vinyl not matching rear seats. Please see pictures of passenger side rear door. (I never fixed it because I did not want to do any body work or paint work to the car) The door still opens and closes, etc... Does not rub any part when it opens or closes at all as you can see all the body lines are straight showing it is just a minor small surface dent. Car is 100% original, that is why I took pictures of the hood, roof, trunk and sides to show how shiny the paint is and free of any fading, peeling, etc... Car comes with the original manuals from Ford. Winning bidder can arrange shipping with u-ship and have this beauty shipped to them for about 500 bucks. Airline tickets are just too expensive not to mention the price of gas even though she does great on gas both highway and city, I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. PayPal will not be accepted due to their high fees. Accepted forms of payment are: bank wire transfer, cashier’s check, money order, bank check. No cash and no personal checks as I’ve had bad experiences with that. Title and bill of sale will be overnighted to winning bidder after funds are received with tracking. If you want a dependable, well-built and tough vehicle, this is your car.

How privacy fears are driving automakers in the age of the connected car [w/poll]
Wed, Aug 27 2014A recent GAO report concluded car companies don't adequately disclose how and why they share location data. As cars collect and store more and more data about the whereabouts of their drivers, automakers are responding to critics who say they should be more transparent about how those details are used. Ford is hiring a global privacy policy attorney to craft the company's customer privacy policies in the era of connected and autonomous cars. "In this emerging space, there is an important need to address customer privacy policies," reads a job description posted on the "people and careers" portion of the company's website. "As part of our compliance and ethics organization at Ford, this person will have an immediate and direct impact in shaping existing and future policy and corporate thinking in this area." Ford is creating the new position, based at its Dearborn headquarters, at a time technology advances are outpacing privacy protections. Earlier this year, a report from the federal government concluded car companies don't adequately disclose to motorists how and why they share location data. That report, from the Government Accountability Office, found many car companies did not describe how they shared location data, did not allow consumers to request their data be deleted and that there was a "wide variation" in how car companies retained vehicle-specific or identifiable location data. It noted there is increased risk of location data being used in ways "consumers did not intend." Ford was one of 10 companies the GAO surveyed while compiling its report. Customers are opting to share that data largely by using features like maps and turn-by-turn direction that are run by a vehicle's telematics unit. Depending on the company, it can be unclear how that data is collected, retained or shared. At the time the GAO report was issued, AAA, the nation's largest motoring club, urged carmakers to be more transparent in how they handle data and to offer stronger security protections. Shaping Autonomous Car Regulations At Ford, the new hire could change how the company handles that data. According to the job description, the successful applicant will, "demonstrate visionary thinking around privacy strategy – imagine how consumer and employee expectations around privacy may evolve and how business should adapt, develop approaches that maximize the benefit of data sharing for consumers and business, etc." (Emphasis from Ford).
Ford Mustang GT500 successor spied near SVT
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Details about the next-gen Ford Mustang are scarce, and there's even less information out there about the upcoming replacement for the Shelby GT500. Previously rumored to drop the Shelby name and wear the GT350 moniker, the highest-performance Mustang has just been spotted testing near Ford's SVT operations.
Despite being cloaked in heavy camouflage, we can instantly tell this prototype is different from other Mustang spy shots we've seen in the past. Aside from the Shelby-spec wheels, quad exhaust outlets (previous spy shots show only two) and beefier brakes, this car also has air intakes on the hood and front fenders. These elements help to neither prove nor dismiss rumors that the next SVT Mustang will be naturally aspirated. It also looks like Ford is may be planning some changes to this car's rear suspension, as there is some extra camouflage added beneath the rear end of this prototype.
As a bonus, these spy shots also give us our first look inside the new Mustang, revealing a new steering wheel (with more buttons) and a glimpse of the dual-pod instrument gauges. Check out past spy shots of the 2015 Mustang showing off its new face and driving around town.
Ford overlooks the Big Apple in the 2015 Mustang Convertible [w/video]
Wed, 16 Apr 2014Ford has done it again. Like in April of 1964, there is once again an all-new Mustang Convertible sitting on the observation deck of New York City's Empire State Building. This has been in the making for a little while, with the first report that Ford would recreate the sky-high publicity stunt coming out a few weeks back.
The process of getting the Mustang up there wasn't exactly easy. A Troy, MI-based company chopped up the new droptop, a necessary evil to get the Mustang on the Empire State Building's only freight elevator that runs to the 86th floor observation deck. But it was slightly more involved than just taking the car apart. The company, DST, built a mockup of the ESB's freight elevators, and then practiced its cuts on a second pre-production Mustang Convertible (measure twice, cut once).
The result of all this work are the images you see above. Yes, sitting in the crisp, morning air of midtown Manhattan, over 1,000 feet up, is this brilliant, Triple Yellow Mustang. Take a look up top for our gallery of images from today's event. You can also scroll down for videos and images of the process leading up to the ESB debut.
