2000 Ford Contour Se 4-door 2.0l, Bi-fuel Hybrid, 1 Owner Az. Car, Looks New!! on 2040-cars

US $5,450.00
Year:2000 Mileage:62600
Location:

Mesa, Arizona, United States

Mesa, Arizona, United States

You are bidding on a near new 2000 Ford Contour SE sedan with the factory Bi-fuel option, that burns CNG (compressed natural gas) or regular unleaded
by a switch on the dash, and 62,000 original miles. If you have easy access to CNG, this car can save you a lot of cash, and you can go "Green" in the HOV lane.

This car was owner, operated and maintained by the City of Mesa, Ariz. Our city is well know for excellent care and maintenance. This car was garage kept
since new, and it shows it. The paint has the original factory shine, and the body is near perfect. It does have 2 small dents on the drivers door (to small to
show in a photo), and a GPS antenna on the trunk.

The gray cloth interior is also new new, with no signs of wear on the seats, carpet or headliner, and smells factory new. The top of the dash did start to roll
up from the windshield, and has been repaired by a dash mat. See photos. This is very common here in Arizona.

The following items have been recently replaced: tires, brakes and rotors (front), battery, timing belt, water pump and pulleys, drive belt and adjuster, etc.
The engine and trans. are clean and drive, with no signs of leaks. The car runs and operates as it should, and get well over 32 MPG. It is a dream to drive.

If you are new to CNG, or have any questions about the car, please call me at 480-330-1927, or contact me thru eBay. I reserve the right to cancel this listing
at any time, as this car for sale in the local Phoenix area. If you would desire to fly into the Phoenix area, I would be glad to pick you up at the airport, and send
on your way.

If you are considering a bi-fuel Hybrid car, and are looking for an extra nice car, this would be perfect. I believe this may be the best Ford Contour CNG car
on the market at any price. Must see to believe.

Thanks for looking, and Good Luck!

Ex-GM VP LaNeve takes over Lincoln ad agency

Wed, 10 Apr 2013

Those of you that caught yesterday's op-ed about Lincoln will have heard already, but Mark LaNeve has taken the helm at Team Detroit. Once the North American vice president of sales, service and marketing for General Motors, LaNeve will now head up the agency that handles all of Ford advertising. LaNeve will also run the account for Lincoln. While at GM from 2001 to 2009, the exec oversaw ad campaigns like Cadillac's Breakthrough and sales initiatives like "Employee Pricing for Everyone."
He left in 2009 to join Allstate as chief marketing officer, oversaw the creation of the Mayhem ad spots and was moved into the role of VP of agency operations overseeing Allstate's 10,000 agents. He resigned from the insurer in February 2012 for personal reasons and joined Team Detroit in August 2012 as chief operating officer, in charge of satellite offices in New York and internationally. He replaces ex-CEO Cameron McNaughton, and will continue to hold the title of COO.
Lincoln is trying to get its 2013 back to rights after putting big dollar commercials for the 2013 MKZ on television then having production glitches preventing cars from getting to dealerships. With rumors of a relaunch in the works, it's no surprise LaNeve has been given the reins - and from here it looks like the brand is desperate for the kind of magic he's proved he can marshal. Perhaps he can start by calling a mulligan on the renaming exercise that gave us the hoary "Lincoln Motor Company" and go back to oh, say, "Lincoln." Then he can ask the product folks to get to work on the MKC concept...

Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.
Have a look below and let us know what you think of MT's verdict in Comments.

William Clay Ford Sr. dead at 88

Sun, 09 Mar 2014

William Clay Ford, retired vice chairman of Ford Motor Company and the last surviving grandchild of company founder Henry Ford, died this morning after a bout with pneumonia. He was 88.
Ford spent 57 years with his grandfather's company, joining the board of directors in 1948 before graduating from college. Ford also held a position as chairman of the design committee, as well as the chairman of the executive committee and vice chairman of the Board of Directors during his tenure with the company. In a 2013 Detroit Free Press story, retired CFO Allan Gilmour said Ford had an eye for design, and was once able to pick out when a fiberglass model of a Ford Contour was asymmetrical, off by an inch on one side. He retired and assumed the position of director emeritus in 2005.
"My father was a great business leader and humanitarian who dedicated his life to the company and the community," said Bill Ford, Jr., Ford's current executive chairman. "He also was a wonderful family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, yet he will continue to inspire us all."
