NO RESERVE!! HIGH BIDDER WILL WIN!! NO RESERVE!! LAST BID WINS!! NO RESERVE!! BID TO WIN!!
Here is a great old Bronco 4x4 with manual hubs. No frills. Very straight and solid. A few small surface rust spots, but nothing major.
The odometer says 57k, and does not have the extra digit. But going by the condition, it is possible that it could be actual.

We have sold quite a few older Broncos and Blazers, and this one is, by far, the best one yet. No rot around the wheel wells or the bottom of the tailgate, which is very common around here.

Great running outfit. Super reliable. Always starts right up. All original except cd player and rims. Everything works as it should, but the a\c could use some freon. Interior is in very good condition, but needs a cleaned. Power rear window travels up and down quickly, but only from the switch on the dash. Might just need the lock cleaned on the back gate.

Tires are pretty good, front ones are better than the rear. The rims are painted chrome. They might shine up with some work.

It needs a good cleaning and its ready to go. Dont miss this great running survivor.

We are a small, licensed and bonded dealership in north western utah, and have been in this location for almost 14 years. Very low overhead passes on big savings to our customers. Bid with confidence.

We can take pictures of any part you would like a closer look at, and send you copies of any documents you may need.

Please call John or Connie @ 435-884-1040 with any ?? or email of course. Please ask ?? BEFORE the auction ends.
Please have your funds in place before bidding.

Vehicle is sold as-is where-is, but we will assist getting it to you if we can. Thanks, and happy bidding!

Nuclear-powered concept cars from the Atomic Age

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

In the 1950s and early 60s, the dawn of nuclear power was supposed to lead to a limitless consumer culture, a world of flying cars and autonomous kitchens all powered by clean energy. In Europe, it offered the then-limping continent a cheap, inexhaustible supply of power after years of rationing and infrastructure damage brought on by two World Wars.
The development of nuclear-powered submarines and ships during the 1940s and 50s led car designers to begin conceptualizing atomic vehicles. Fueled by a consistent reaction, these cars would theoretically produce no harmful byproducts and rarely need to refuel. Combining these vehicles with the new interstate system presented amazing potential for American mobility.
But the fantasy soon faded. There were just too many problems with the realities of nuclear power. For starters, the powerplant would be too small to attain a reaction unless the car contained weapons-grade atomic materials. Doing so would mean every fender-bender could result in a minor nuclear holocaust. Additionally, many of the designers assumed a lightweight shielding material or even forcefields would eventually be invented (they still haven't) to protect passengers from harmful radiation. Analyses of the atomic car concept at the time determined that a 50-ton lead barrier would be necessary to prevent exposure.

2014 Ford Fiesta gets fuel economy bump to 41 mpg

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

The 2014 Ford Fiesta is in showrooms now with refreshed styling and new performance ST model, but it's what isn't yet available that should help the Fiesta stand out from the growing crowd of subcompacts. Aside from the new 1.0-liter EcoBoost model coming later this year, Ford recently told us that a new Fiesta SFE trim level is on the way that should put the updated Fiesta at the top of its class for fuel economy.
The new Fiesta SFE will hit an estimated 41 miles per gallon on the highway when equipped with the six-speed automatic transmission. The current listing on fueleconomy.gov shows the 2014 Fiesta getting up to 29 mpg city and 39 highway, but the SFE will get minor aero tuning and a recalibrated engine controller to help bump the highway figure past rivals like the Chevrolet Sonic and Nissan Versa - both of which top out at 40-mpg highway. There's still no word as to when the small 1.0-liter EcoBoost will show in the US, but Ford has indicated that engine's fuel economy isn't expected to be released until October.

Ford CEO Mark Fields takes home $18.6 million

Fri, Mar 27 2015

Sitting atop the throne at Ford Motor Company is, as it turns out, a fairly lucrative gig. We make that statement after learning, through SEC filings, that FoMoCo's Mark Fields raked in $18.6 million in compensation during his first year as CEO. Now, as is so often the case, Fields' earnings weren't just straight salary. Only $1.7 million of that sum was from his salary, while another $3.2 million came from cash bonuses. The remaining $13.7 million, though, came from what The Detroit Free Press called "long-term stock options, performance equity awards and compensation for items such as security and travel," according to the SEC filing. That makes for a significant raise for Fields, who made $10.1 million in 2013, but it still doesn't match his predecessor, former CEO Alan Mulally. The 69-year-old Mulally earned $23.2 million in his final year as CEO, while bringing in $1 million last year as part of a $22 million compensation package. Fields' earnings may ruffle some features for a few reasons. First, while the Freep reports that Ford hit 91 percent of its performance goals, 2014's earnings were down $4 billion, to $3.2 billion, compared to the $7.2 billion the company made in 2013. On top of that, the CEO's take-home might be sour grapes for hourly employees, who were only treated to checks worth $6,900, as part of a profit-sharing plan. To that, Ford said in a statement that, "We remain absolutely committed to aligning executive compensation with the company's business performance and to tying a significant portion of executive compensation to long-term shareholder value."
