This bronco has only been used in the winter to plow with.  Engine starts rite up, transmission works and shifts with no hesitation, plow works up, down and side to side.  Windshield is cracked but does not leak. Rear of top is removable but has never been off. Tailgate or rear door does not open but rear defroster and window motor work but you have to help window go up with your hand. Brake will stop vehicle but you have to push pedal all the way to the floor.  I think a brake line is broken because it loses fluid quickly.  Other than a tear in the driver seat which can be seen in the photo the interior is not bad at all.  This would be a great camp vehicle or fix it up project. I do have the front bumper for it also which goes with it.  If someone wanted to take it apart the the parts alone would be worth the starting price. You could NOT drive this vehicle away only because of safety reasons.  It will drive onto a trailer.  If we take plow off it could go on a car dolly. Starting price is  $1000 dollars which is the value I put on the plow tires and rims.. The engine and transmission run smooth interior is in not bad shape if all were added I would think it would be worth more.

If you have questions please ask.   I have been as honest as can be.  Transfer case is not broken I lent vehicle to a friend and he broke shift lever to change four wheel drive selection.  It is now in 4 wheel drive low.  I am just to old to fix vehicles any more.  I have a tractor for plowing.

Payment will be $350 down by paypal rest in cash on pickup.  If you get here and decide against buying you lose the down payment..

Michigan museum offers Model T driving classes

Sun, 29 Dec 2013

Halfway between Detroit and Chicago, there is a car museum that gives visitors a unique level of interaction with antique cars. The Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI has a driver's training class to teach people of any age to learn how to drive a Ford Model T.
From the crank starter to the column-mounted throttle control, this driving school teaches people all there is to know about driving and operating a Model T. Each class lasts about two and a half hours and is only open to 18 students. There are ten sessions planned for 2014 - twice a day on May 3, June 22, July 22, August 23 and September 14. The class costs $95 (or $85 for members), and it also includes a tour of the museum's automobile collection.
In addition to this driving school, the museum has plenty of exhibits on the property, and it's open all but three days per year (Easter, Christmas and New Year's Day) with free admission for school field trips and active military. Be sure to check out the Gilmore Car Museum's website or visit them on Facebook for more info.

Ford F-150 RaptorTrax is Ken Block's ultimate snowmobile

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Even when Ken Block isn't starring in the latest Gymkhana video or tearing up Global RallyCross courses, he's finding new ways to redefine "awesome" as it applies to motorsports. For evidence of this, look no further than Block's latest Monster-badged creation, the Ford F-150 RaptorTrax.
Billed as the "world's fastest snowcat," the RaptorTrax started life as a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, and then a set of Mattracks were put in place where the truck's bead-locked wheels and meaty rubber once resided. The goal was to create a truck that made it easier - and presumably more fun - for Block and his buddies to hit the slopes on their snowboards. Aside from the obvious track upgrades, this truck also received a Whipple supercharger, full roll cage, Recaro seats, an in-bed snowboard rack, a roof basket and a rear-mounted winch - you know, just in case something or someone actually manages to get this truck stuck.
The RaptorTrax will be on display later this week at the Winter X Games in Apsen, CO, but we'll have to wait until next winter for a full Block-worthy video of the truck. A full press release from Hoonigan Racing Division is posted below, and a high-res image can be found by clicking above.

Ford acquires Livio to bolster connectivity biz

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

Ford Motor Company has announced the acquisition of Livio, a Ferndale, MI-based software development company best known for aftermarket in-car connectivity devices, but also as a supplier of technology for proprietary systems for automakers. Livio, co-founded by Sigal and Massimo Baldini, will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Global Technologies.
"With the additional expertise Livio provides us, Ford intends to continue to lead the next generation of in-car connectivity with technology advancements that give consumers more options to access their devices on the go," said Paul Mascarenas, chief technical officer and vice president, Ford Research and Innovation, in a statement.
Ford is clearly trying to beef up its in-house tech capability around telematics and device connectivity. While the Blue Oval has been a leader in these areas with SYNC and MyFord Touch in terms of getting the systems into as many cars as possible, the execution of the applications have been criticized for glitches.
