Previous owner did a rough job of bondo & fiberglass to door trim and fenders. Some scratches and dings on the hood and fenders, but otherwise clean. Paint job is flaking a bit."

Listed is a clean 1991 Bronco Eddie Bauer Edition. I'm not sure how many owners this truck has had, but I've only put about 5000 miles on it since I bought it.

The exterior is a little rough, but it all depends on what you want it for. I bought it as a winter truck, and wasn't dissapointed. The hood is fairly new and aftermarket from the previous owner. I replaced the tailgate (that was rusted out like most bronco tailgates) and the rear window. It still has the defrost and power window options and works well. I added a backup/trailer camera and integrated it into the rearview mirror.

The interior is in nearly mint condition, and was taken care of extremely well. There are no tears in the vinyl or the cloth seats, and the carpet and headliner are in great condition. I added a CD player as the stock radio was lacking.

When I bought the truck, the hubs were non-functional, so I replaced them with WARN hubs and also replaced the shift motor mounted to the transfer case. Now, the truck runs in 4WD no problem. I also changed the brakes and replaced the tires as they were pretty dry-rotted. Also replaced the fuel pump and the battery.

This truck may take some work to be a show truck, but that's not what I intended it for anyway. It is a work horse, and has not let me down. I'm only selling it to make some extra money and clear up some room on my driveway.

Watch the Hennessey Ford GT makes its record run at Texas Mile

Wed, 27 Mar 2013

We said they'd probably be out with an official video, we did not lie. The Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT sat at one end of the runway at the Texas Mile sitting still. At the other end of the runway it had broken its own speed record, the twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8 pushing the aerodynamic supercar up to 267.6 miles per hour, a 4.3-mph improvement over the old mark.
There's not much in the video you haven't already seen, this just makes it official. That said, who doesn't want to see a twin-turbo Ford GT set an incredible speed record? You can watch it below.

Ford Transit Skyliner Concept does discreet luxury in NYC

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

There's something to be said for luxed-out vans. They're cool, and as a means of getting chauffeured about, they're extremely comfortable and far more low key than your typical executive luxury sedan. For the 2014 New York Auto Show, Galpin Auto Sports has shown the potential of the new-for-the-US Ford Transit as an ultra-luxurious people hauler.
The Transit Skyliner Concept, which we previewed last week, sports four finely crafted captain's buckets that can be moved into different formations based on need. Want to watch a movie? The seats can be swung around to face a 52-inch screen. Riding along with some business associates? A table can be popped up. There's even a configuration for tailgating.
The materials are, unsurprisingly, pretty plush. The leather seats and wood floors (yes, wood floors in a van) look great, while the trunk and its customized luggage are a nice touch, as well.

GM, Ford, FCA and the UAW form joint coronavirus task force

Mon, Mar 16 2020

General Motors, Ford and Fiat Chrysler are forming a coronavirus task force along with the United Auto Workers union to improve protections for their employees and limit the spread of the highly contagious virus. The task force, which would be focusing on areas including vehicle production plans, is being headed by UAW President Rory Gamble, GM Chief Executive Officer Mary Barra, Ford CEO Jim Hackett, Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford and FCA CEO Michael Manley, the parties said in a joint statement on Sunday. Though automakers typically schedule plant staffing to allow for a certain proportion of absent workers, according to industry consultants, if the outbreak causes higher levels due to infection or workers staying home to care for children whose schools are closed, that could lead to reduced production or in extreme cases shutdowns. Production at an FCA assembly plant in Canada was halted for 24 hours after employees there refused to work on Thursday over fears of an employee being possibly exposed to the coronavirus. Separately on Thursday, the Italian-American automaker said that one of its employees had tested positive for COVID-19, a respiratory disease caused by the new coronavirus, at its transmission plant in Indiana. The plant, however, remained open. "This is a fluid and unprecedented situation, and the task force will move quickly to build on the wide-ranging preventive measures we have put in place," the CEOs of the three companies said in the statement. The task force would also be focusing on aspects such as health and safety education, health screening, food service at the automakers' locations.
