This is a modified 1970 Bronco with a 302 V8, automatic , power disk brakes and steering. It has a healthy lift that tucks the 37 inch (newer tires) tires very well and hits the road better than most lifted 4x4s. As with all early broncos it has some rust here and there but none that is a hard fix or very bad. The paint does look better in the pics than it does in person the clear coat is peeling off so it will need a repaint if you plan on making it a super nice one. It runs down the road shifts and steers like it should for a lifted bronco with not much wobble or play I actually drove it over 100 miles home the day I got it with no issues, now that said I NEVER say a vintage vehicle can make a cross country trek but it did well for me. I have sold vehicles here on eBay for years and generally am more brutal about the bad of my cars than most sellers so feel free to ask as many questions as you like. This is by far a perfect bronco it has been played with a used well.....as a BRONCO!! but presents well, runs and drives well. Be aware I have heard all the scams and will not fall for them payment in full is expected before the bronco ever leaves my property. PayPal will only be accepted for the $1000.00 deposit that is due as soon as the auction ends the rest can be paid in cash or CERTIFIED bank check that will be held until it clears. So if you think you will get it shipped in 24hrs after the end of the auction be ready to hand me cash. I'm sorry to sound harsh but it seems to be the only way of getting the scammers to take note. "Real" people and buyers I welcome. you may inspect the Bronco before the auction ends in fact I welcome it so you know what you are buying. I will not disclose the reserve cause what's the fun of an auction if I do! I will however listen to any cash offers and I may cancel the auction at anytime due to that fact.

MyFord Touch getting buttons and knobs back to counter criticisms

Mon, 17 Jun 2013

Ford deserves credit for being a front-runner in offering advanced infotainment technology with its Sync and MyFord Touch systems, but continued consumer complaints over its confusing touchscreen interface and capacitive controls has made the automaker relent. The Wall Street Journal reports that physical buttons and knobs for controlling tuning and volume will be coming back to Ford vehicles equipped with the controversial infotainment system.
The 2013 F-150 with MyFord Touch gives us a glimpse of what the new layout with buttons and knobs might look like, as Ford says a similar balance of touch screen capability and buttons/knobs are what's being planned for future models. And, while capacitive controls have no fans in the halls of Autoblog, many of Ford's models with MyFord Touch do have a large physical knob for adjusting volume with integrated buttons for tuning and advancing tracks, though most of those are models with the optional upgraded Sony Audio system. Lincoln models with MyLincoln Touch, however, feature only capacitive controls for all stereo and climate functions.
Despite receiving enough complaints to throw buttons and knobs back into the mix (a move that reminds us of BMW's iDrive trajectory, among others), Ford reports that Sync and MyFord Touch have still been sold on 79 percent of its 2013 model year vehicles, a number it claims is double the rate that Honda and Toyota are getting for their infotainment systems. Ford also states that owners who do opt for the duo of technologies are more satisfied with overall vehicle quality than those who don't have it.

Is Tesla's next project an F-150 competitor? [w/poll]

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

What's the future look like for Tesla after it launches the Model X CUV and possibly a smaller, sub-Model S sedan? Would you believe a pickup truck? Yes, Tesla could be looking to use its EV know-how to take the fight to Ford and the F-150, based on comments made by company founder Elon Musk.
"If you're trying to replace the most gasoline miles driven, you have to look at what people are buying," Musk said during an impromptu Q&A session following a speech at Business Insider's Ignition conference. "[The F-150 is] the best selling car in America. If people are voting that's their car, then that's the car we have to deliver."
And while the idea of electric pickup may sound kind of absurd to some, Musk makes a very valid point - if Tesla's goal is to replace gas miles with electrical miles, it simply can't afford to ignore pickups.

Amid Mulally rumors, Bill Ford praises company's deep bench

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

Bill Ford went on the offensive to combat the rumors that CEO Alan Mulally would leave Dearborn for Steve Ballmer's vacated position leading Microsoft, adding that even if the 68-year-old, former Boeing exec were to depart, the Ford executive team is in a good place.
"I'm happy [Mulally] is going to stick around. But we also feel really good about where we are in terms of succession," Ford told Bloomberg TV, according to Automotive News. Rumors first cropped up about Mulally leaving Ford when AllThingsD speculated that he was in the running, early last month. In that same report, which you can read here, Ford's board of directors reportedly okayed the CEO stepping down ahead of his planned retirement in 2014.
That opened the floodgates, culminating in a report from a few days ago that the rumors over Ballmer's successor just might be true. The story is especially troubling, as Ford hasn't had Mulally under contract, according to AN. "He's here as long as he and I would like it to happen," Ford said, "We're also cognizant of training the next generation and getting them ready to go as well."
