Up for sale is my 1970 Bronco, I've owned it for 6+ yrs.  Wish I had the time to drive it- A vehicle like this needs to be out and about.

All work was done previous to my ownership and was done professionally.  In truth, I am not a mechanic or a gearhead.  I will list what I know about the vehicle and answer all questions to the best of my capability.

I can tell you that it is an amazing rig.  Definitely the right vehicle if you like attention!

List:

Paint is in good shape.  I consider it a "10-footer"  which means it looks amazing from 10 or so ft.  up close the small flaws become more obvious.  There is a small dent on the right front fender from a windstorm knocking over a ladder. (see pictures)

Interior is awesome! Rhino lined, amazing racing bucket seats with 5-point harness seatbelts.  Back seat is new with seatbelts.  Family roll cage.  (see pictures)

Tires are in killer shape.  35" with a full size spare mounted on back.

Brakes- disc front and drum rear

Power steering- So nice to have for multiple reasons!

4 wheel drive works as it should (I have yet to really test this rig to see what it can do)

Custom bumpers with winch- controls in glove box

Tuffy box glove box as well as full size Tuffy box between seats.  Houses stereo for protection from the elements as well as theft.

All lights, blinkers, windshield wipers, heater works as it should.

Vehicle has matching painted fully operational doors x2

Vehicle has always been run with a soft-top.  New and complete- amazing shape and definitely suits the rig.  No hard-top included in sale of vehicle

Dual exhaust- sounds awesome.

MotorWeek remembers pre-EcoBoost Ford with the Thunderbird TurboCoupe

Thu, Feb 26 2015

Sometimes it feels great to embrace nostalgia for a trip down memory lane, and MotorWeek indulges that occasional desire with its regular Retro Review series. This time, the long-lived show goes back to the '80s to check out two of the top performance vehicles in the Ford lineup at the time – the 1987 Thunderbird TurboCoupe and Mustang GT. Both models had just received thorough refreshes after several years on the market. Long before an EcoBoost badge ever met its models, Ford made early forays into experimenting with turbocharging on vehicles like the T-Bird TurboCoupe. Based on MotorWeek's assessment, the company was on the right track. The boosted 2.3-liter four-cylinder was apparently a bit coarse but offered 190 horsepower with little turbo lag, compared to 155 hp the year before. The Mustang GT is likely the more-fondly remembered of these performance Fords today and provides an interesting point of comparison against the TurboCoupe. MotorWeek found some faults with the 'Stang, though. While it was quick for the time with a sprint to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, the 'car was described as "a nose-heavy beast" for its handling. And for a look at Ford's future in turbocharging – the GT will have an EcoBoost powerplant – check out our Related Video:

2020 Ford Explorer, Lincoln Aviator reportedly facing numerous QC issues

Mon, Sep 16 2019

A lengthy report in the Detroit Free Press delves into a range of quality control issues confronting the 2020 Ford Explorer and its luxury platform sibling, the 2020 Lincoln Aviator. Freep says it's been following the issue for two months, tapping various unnamed sources for information on the automaker's unorthodox route to resolution. Seems the problem is Explorers and Aviators leaving the production line at the Chicago Assembly Plant with flaws in areas like the chassis, transmission and suspension, said vehicles trucked to Ford's Flat Rock Assembly Plant (FRAP) outside of Detroit for repair. The estimates range from 10,000 to 18,000 vehicles affected, numbers so high that Ford has sought help from Roush Engineering in nearby Allen Park, and brought workers and managers from other plants in the Midwest to FRAP to get vehicles repaired and shipped to dealers. Ford hasn't shared the nature of the problems with anyone outside the company, including dealers and customers. Freep's sources are said to include workers who have provided photos of certain vehicles and of tents used to house parts at the FRAP repair site. The Explorer chassis allegedly has an unidentified problem that engineers are using X-rays to diagnose, and the transmission is having problems sensing when it's in park or going into park. Both the Explorer and Aviator have come off the line with HVAC units that only blow hot air. And the Aviator's height-adjustable suspension enters failure mode for unknown reasons. These come on top of quotidian mishaps common to every new vehicle, but that are meant to be sorted in pre-production, like missing emblems and trim pieces. They also come on top of a recall in early August issued for the Explorer and Aviator concerning the instrument cluster and parking brake, and another at the end of August over rear seatbacks that could collapse in a crash. An automaker spokesperson told Freep, "Making updates to preproduction models based on all-new platforms as they roll off the assembly line – is standard industry practice." Except these aren't pre-production, these are early production vehicles that paying customers and dealers are waiting for, and some of the affected vehicles have been pulled off dealer lots. Dealers say they are fine waiting for the trucks to get sorted out, and they'd rather have Ford fix the problems before the SUVs go to customers.

Ford starting up 2.0L EcoBoost engine production in Ohio

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

Joe Hinrichs, Ford's President of The Americas (pictured above), announced today that in late 2014, the automaker will be building the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder at its Cleveland Engine Plant, a move requiring a $200-million investment and the hiring of 450 new employees. European-built Ford products will continue to source this engine from the Valencia, Spain plant where all of these EcoBoost four-cylinder engines are currently built, and the new Cleveland engines will be used for all North American-made models.
Ford is planning to build its popular EcoBoost engines regionally to maximize production capacity and meet customer demand. Last year, Ford sold 334,364 vehicles with EcoBoost engines in the US alone, and that number is expected to swell to more than 500,000 by the end of this year, with global sales expected to total 1.6 million. By 2015, Ford says that 95 percent of its nameplates will offer an EcoBoost engine.
One such vehicle that could be adding an EcoBoost engine, according to Automotive News, is none other than the 2015 Ford Mustang. The report says that Ford could use either the 2.0-liter EcoBoost or an upcoming 2.3-liter EcoBoost in the sixth-generation pony car.
