Great Running Car, Needs Tlc With Potential To Become A $25,000 Car on 2040-cars
Bellevue, Washington, United States
1965 Fiat Nouva (was 1967 on the title but running the number through some websites I found there stopped making these in 1965 so the Title changed it). It runs as former owner was a mechanic, he also put cool rims and nice tires (see pictures). There are rust to be taken care of but through ebay or mr.fiat and on other websites you can practically replace every body part for cheap. We had fun with it for a few month but it rains a lot in Washington state and less fun to drive while raining. I have no problem starting the car if battery is charged. It was garaged with the former owner and I have it fully covered under a tarp for the last couple of months. I did not clean it before taking the pictures as it is still raining here. This is over 40 year old car, I cannot tell you in what mechanical condition it is in as I'm not a mechanic and understand little about cars internals. I use it to pick up the kids from school which is close by. I once drove to the nearest towncenter and back, it also went up a steep hill in the area and then down. Please check all the pictures and if you have questions ask I will try to help as best I can, like I mentioned i'm not a mechanic. I got it with the intentions to give it some TLC and make it a beauty and I am selling it because the reality is that my kid is off to college and the bills are pilling... There is a reserve price if it is not met I reserve the right to approach the highest bidder with an offer. It is also listed locally so if I sell it I will remove this listing. The car is sold as-is where if you want to arrange someone to inspect it you are more than welcome to do so before the bidding ends. Once the bidding ends $500 due within 24 hours via paypal, the rest will be a wire transfer within 3 days of auction end. I will relist the car if these are not met and report to ebay as non-paying bidder. I have 100% positive feedback - bid with confidence. I reserve the right to cancel bidders with no feedback, low feedback or negative feedback. If you are buying it remotely meaning you are not here to pick it up, you will need to pay for shipping & loading expenses. By bidding you also assume all responsibilities from the time this car leaves our yard. Happy Bidding |

Refreshed Fiat 500 and 500c show their new face on the open road
Mon, Jun 8 2015We saw the refreshed Fiat 500 and 500c completely covered in camouflage in a parking garage just a few days ago, but unfortunately none of those shots gave a really good look of the redesigned front face. These latest photos show these twins out in the open and provide a better look at the Fiats' thorough concealment. Despite being fully covered, the changes still appear subtle compared to the current 500's design. The headlights seem slightly reshaped with more of an oval shape then the present, rounder units, and the lower intake in the front air dam also looks larger. At the rear, new taillights and a tweaked bumper are among the adjustments. The previous spy shots also indicated some alterations to the interior. The refreshed 500 and 500c reportedly will make their big debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Enjoy the camo'd preview in the gallery above.
For his last act, Marchionne will outline an EV/hybrid roadmap this week
Wed, May 30 2018MILAN/LONDON — Fiat Chrysler (FCA) boss Sergio Marchionne is expected to outline new plans for electric and hybrid cars in a strategy presentation on Friday, aiming to ensure the world's seventh-largest carmaker remains in the race in the absence of a merger. The 65-year-old will present FCA's strategy to 2022, his final contribution to the company he turned around and multiplied in value through 14 years of canny dealmaking. After failing to secure a tie-up he said was necessary to manage the costs of producing cleaner vehicles, Marchionne needs to show the group can keep churning out profits on its own, even as emissions rules tighten, SUV competition intensifies and worries around his succession abound. Marchionne had long refused to jump on the electrification bandwagon, saying he would only do so if selling battery-powered cars could be done at a profit. He even urged customers not to buy FCA's Fiat 500e, its only battery-powered model, because he was losing money on each sold. But Tesla's success and the need to comply with tougher emissions rules have forced Marchionne to commit to what he calls "most painful" spending. "FCA is way behind rivals in terms of hybrid and electric vehicles and they need to hit the accelerator to convince investors they can close that gap," said Andrea Pastorelli, a fund manager at 8a+ Investimenti. Germany's Volkswagen, Daimler, BMW and U.S. rivals GM and Ford have committed to spending billions of euros each in coming years to try produce profitable cars powered by cleaner fuels. FCA needs to present a clear roadmap, just like Volvo Cars, which ditched diesel from its best-selling XC60 SUV, launched a new electric brand and pledged to shift all brands to hybrid by 2019, a banking source close to FCA said, noting: "The tech divide determines winners and losers in the industry." Marchionne has already said half of the wider FCA fleet will incorporate some elements of electrification by 2022, while luxury marque Maserati will spearhead FCA's electrification drive by making all new models due after 2019 electric. But its plans remain vaguer and less advanced than most big rivals and some investors wonder about the capital required to make vehicles compliant, and what share of spending can go to electrification given FCA's numerous demands.
Marchionne says electric Maserati may debut by 2019
Sun, Jun 19 2016Ask Sergio Marchionne's opinion on the prospects of making a profit on producing electric-vehicle versions of Fiats or Chryslers, and he's likely to shoot the concept down. Bring that price point up into Maserati range, though? That apparently may be in the works, according to Bloomberg News. The famously EV-averse Marchionne says the company may start work on an electric vehicle for its hoped-for Maserati Alfieri model. Additionally, a hybrid version of the Maserati Levante SUV may also be developed during the next few years. The EV may be available by 2019, while the hybrid may start sales shortly thereafter. Meanwhile, Fiat may also be working on an electric city car, which would be its first in Europe. The key, of course, is the price point. The Maserati brand means that a new EV may be a legitimate competitor to Tesla Motors because such a badge could approach the $100,000 threshold where the Tesla competes. Marchionne has long professed that it's nearly impossible to make money on electric vehicles. Earlier this month, Marchionne, speaking with UK's Car magazine, suggested that Tesla Motors is the best example of this theory, because, for all the demand for and growth of the California-based company, Tesla has never made an annual profit. And while the Fiat 500e electric vehicle has been feted for its style and performance, Marchionne has always insisted that the model was produced strictly to comply with California's zero-emissions policy, and that the company loses about $10,000 on each 500e it sells.
