The Toy Barn of Dublin Presents:

 photo DSC05802_zps7752160d.jpg

2005 Ferrari 430 Spider
Pristine example, locally owned, just serviced here at our Performance Center in April. Excellent condition with low miles and nearly everything you could order from Ferrari in 2005. If you're in the market for a fantastic Ferrari, this is the one!

The Toy Barn is pleased to offer another fantastic Ferrari, this 2005 F430 Spider finished in Nuevo Nero daytona over Black leather Daytona Seats with only 13k miles. This example is in beautiful condition and when ordered new in '05, was optioned with nearly everything Ferrari offered. We just took this 430 in on trade here at our facility from a local owner and client of ours, towards a new McLaren. The previous owner kept this vehicle excellent both mechanically and physically, and it certainly shows when you see and drive this car.

Condition: As mentioned, this car is beautiful. The paint shows beautifully, and is the unique and seldom seen Nero Daytona finish, which is a stunning Black metallic. The exterior is nearly spotless, and the front bumper, a portion of the hood, and portion of the fenders were all wrapped in 3M protection. The wheels are excellent and look like new, and are wrapped around red calipers assigned to grabbing the rare-optioned ceramic brakes. The front Bridgestone tires still have ample tread remaining, and the rears are nearly new with less than 1000 miles on them since we replaced them in the spring. Overall, the exterior of this 430 is a solid 9.5 out of 10. I'd be happy to walk the car over the phone for you to tell you exactly what I see. On the inside, the interior is excellent as well. The Nero leather looks great, and it has full leather and the leather rear shelf, as well as the sought after power Daytona seats, all trimmed in white contrast stitching. Everything works as it should, and the interior is excellent. Call me and I'd be happy to give additional details.

Conclusion and points to consider: This is a low-mile, VERY well kept, F1 Spider, with all of the options you could get; Metallic finish, Ceramic Brakes, F1 gearbox, Scud shields, Red Calipers, 3M, Full leather throughout, Daytonas, HiFi, and MUCH more. We just performed the annual service here at our Facility in April, and it's ready for it's new owner. Please call me with any questions you may have.

This Spider has the following included with the sale:
All books and manuals
Car Cover
Tools and carry case

Check out the pictures below, be sure and allow time for them to load!

Evo takes a Ferrari F40 across the Alps

Wed, 13 Aug 2014

There are many great GTs we'd choose for a romp across the Alps. And Ferrari has made many of them. While we're not sure the hard-core, no-frills F40 would be our top choice for a transalpine journey, we certainly wouldn't turn down the opportunity.
Neither, it seems, could the guys at Evo. So when the British magazine's "secret supercar owner" - who keeps the editorial team stocked with exotic machinery - needed to get his F40 back across the mountains, he handed the keys over to Henry Catchpole, who was good enough to record and recount the experience in this latest behind-the-scenes video.
Needless to say it was a memorable experience, and one worth sharing.

Why all of this year's F1 noses are so ugly [w/video]

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

If you're a serious fan of Formula One, you already know all about The Great Nosecone Conundrum of 2014. Those given to parsing each year's F1 regulations predicted the strong possibility of the so-called "anteater" noses as far back as early December 2013. Highly suggestive visual evidence first came after Caterham's crash test in early January, with further proof coming as soon as Williams showed a rendering of the FW36 challenger for this year's championship. That car earned a name that wasn't nearly so kind as "anteater."
Casual followers of the sport - or anyone who gets the feed from this site - probably don't know what's happening, except to wonder why the current year's F1 cars are led by appendages that would make Cyrano de Bergerac feel a whole lot better about himself.
The short answer to the question of ugsome F1 noses is "FIA regulations and safety." The reason there are various kinds of ugsome noses is simpler: engineers. The same boffins who have given us advances including carbon fiber monocoques, six-wheeled cars, double diffusers and Drag Reduction Systems are bred to do everything in their power to exploit every possible freedom in the regulations to make the cars they're building go faster - the caveat being that those advances have to work within the overall philosophy of the whole car.

Montezemolo steps down, Marchionne steps up as chairman of Ferrari

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

If the history of an automaker is divided up by the mandate of its leadership, then this is surely the end of an era for Ferrari. After repeatedly locking horns with Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne over a variety of issues, longtime Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo has announced his resignation.
Montezemolo has a long history with both Fiat and Ferrari. He started his career at the former before moving over to the latter in 1973 (only a few years Fiat took over half of Ferrari), starting out as Enzo Ferrari's assistant. He was appointed head of the Scuderia the following year, driving the team to success and subsequently taking over all of the Fiat group's racing activities. After the Prancing Horse marque struggled in the wake of its founder's death in 1988, Montezemolo was appointed to take it over in '91 and has been at the helm ever since.
Following Fiat chairman Gianni Agnelli's passing in 2003, both Montezemolo and Marchionne were named to the Fiat board. A year later, after the passing of Gianni's younger brother Umberto, Montezemolo was named chairman of the Fiat Group (to be succeeded six years later by Agnelli heir John Elkann) and Marchionne its chief executive.
