2000 Ferrari 360 in gorgeous nurburgring argento w/ black interior. You won't be disappointed in this near perfect original and complete and highly optioned example. It has all the hard to find important stuff: 3 keys and 2 remotes 1 red, 1 black, as well as alarm code. It just had its full service done about 800 miles ago, including: all belts including timing belts and tensioners, all the fluids and filters etc. everything to bring it fully update and I have all the paperwork for this. It has every book, tool kit and manual (in the custom ferrari leather cases), tire kit, even the original flashlight and Ferrari car cover. It also has tons of options including Scuderia shields, challenge grill, HIDs, daytona power seats, 6 disc cd, black brake calipers, leather headliner and even sunroof and its leather carrying case which is extremely rare. This car even has 2 sets of floormats in it to show you how protected its life has been, 1 OEM and the other w/ Cavillino emblem. The outside is in great condition, no dents or scratches your hard pressed to even find any minor rock chips. The interior again awesome condition no wear marks, dash is great, no rips or heavy wear any where. Everything on the car works exactly as it should, no leaks, no issues what so ever, brakes and tires also have lots of life left. This car will need nothing for a long time. It starts right up every time, clutch engages very smooth and shifts firm and crisp, 1 very experienced owner that drove it thought it had the stradale TCU but confirmed it didn't, but tells you how nicely it performs! The suspension is nice and tight, the car tracks perfectly straight under acceleration and braking. The only aftermarket parts are carbon fiber shift paddles and front bumper skid plates which are both are great to have. Its clean Carfax and title in hand. Carfax shows a few owners but most were just registration changing address or were dealer inventory.
You won't find a cleaner more complete, original car w/ complete service and low miles at this price! It has just the right amount of miles that its been driven enough to keep the parts and seals lubed and fresh but still has low enough miles that its value will stay firm. Cars are meant to be driven and you will see often times the cars that have ultra low miles (under 10k) often end up needing alot service because they have just sat around and the rubber parts and bushings get old and hard and start to deteriorate from lack of use. You can see from the carfax this car did a nice even amount of miles each year and never sat for a long period and then have a bunch of miles all done at one time. Having all the original accessories is important on these cars, not having the red alarm remote or alarm code will mean having to have the whole alarm reset which is very expensive at the dealer, this car has both as well as all the original manuals in leather cases and a complete tool kit and car cover which are worth a couple thousand dollars together. I have full documentation on the recent full service from a Ferrari authorized dealer and the car was fully inspected at that time showing that it needed nothing. please call w/ any questions 503 7 6 4 7264 |

Why newly independent Ferrari may be forced into fuel-efficient cars
Tue, 04 Nov 2014The repercussions from Ferrari's pending transition into an independent automaker won't be understood for some time, but one of the biggest consequences could be that the iconic Italian marque will be forced into building more fuel-efficient vehicles.
As Wired points out, while Ferrari built fewer than 7,000 cars in 2013, its status as a public company could trigger pressure from shareholders to build more six-figure supercars and grand tourers. In turn, doing so could lead the company afoul of US Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards, which dictate that any company that sells over 10,000 vehicles needs to maintain a certain fuel economy average across its fleet or risk fines.
With arguably its most popular model, the 458 Italia, hitting just 17 miles per gallon on the highway and its most efficient model, the turbocharged California T, stuck at 18 mpg, Ferrari isn't in a great place to hit the government's mandates (which are somewhat convoluted as Wired explains). The gist of the situation is that Ferrari will either need to continue limiting the number of vehicles it sells each year - a move that's certain to upset shareholders and irk its boss, Sergio Marchionne - or radically improve the fuel economy of its cars at the risk of performance. Rock, meet hard place.
Marchionne takes total control of Ferrari as CEO and chairman
Mon, May 2 2016Ferrari is undergoing another changing of the guard as Amedeo Felisa retires from his longtime role as CEO. In his place, Sergio Marchionne will add the job to his absurd list of responsibilities. An engineer by training, Felisa has been with the company for 26 years, and some form of Fiat for nearly 50, having come to Maranello in 1990 after two decades at Alfa Romeo. He took charge of Ferrari's road-car division in 2001, was named general manager in 2006, and got the CEO job in 2008 after Jean Todt left to run for president of the FIA. Felisa's role as chief executive was seen as all the more important after Luca di Montezemolo was shown the door. Rumors persisted recently that Felisa was on his way out. With Felisa gone, Marchionne will be left running the company more directly than he has been as chairman for the past two years since supplanting Montezemolo. As it is, Marchionne serves as CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, chairman of CNH Industrial (the merged entity of Fiat Industrial and Case New Holland), and directly runs the NAFTA region for FCA, splitting his time between offices in Detroit, Turin, and Maranello. We wouldn't be surprised, then, to see Ferrari name a new CEO, or at least a senior manager to run the day to day and take some of the pressure off Marchionne, as adept as he's proven at wearing multiple hats. The company is in the process of reforming itself as a corporate entity separate from FCA, positioned more as a luxury brand, and is seeking to rediscover its former winning form on the racetrack. In the meantime, while Felisa steps down with immediate effect, he will remain on the board – his term having recently been renewed – as a technical advisor, just as Todt did before him. ("Ferrari" or "Company") (NYSE/MTA: RACE) announces the retirement of its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Amedeo Felisa, after 26 years of dedicated service. Mr. Sergio Marchionne will assume those responsibilities while retaining his current role as Chairman of the Company. Mr. Felisa will continue to serve on the Board of Directors of Ferrari with a specific mandate as technical advisor to the Company. Sergio Marchionne had this to say: "I have known Amedeo for more than a decade and I have had the opportunity to work with him closely for the last two years. He is beyond any doubt one of the best automotive engineers in the world.
First test of Formula 1 shield cut short, Vettel reports dizziness
Fri, Jul 14 2017At this weekend's Formula One British Grand Prix, Ferrari driver and four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel tested the "shield," a polycarbonate canopy intended to protect a driver in an accident. Teams have tested other protective devices like the "halo," but Vettel was the first to trial the new shield. In theory, the shield would protect from debris like a loose wheel or a bouncing spring without hampering visibility. Unfortunately, Vettel called it quits early after getting dizzy out on the track. There has been a big push in recent years to make the sport safer for drivers, especially after the death of Jules Bianchi in 2015. In 2009, Felipe Massa missed much of the season after being hit in the head by a broken suspension part. The shield is essentially a windshield or canopy, protecting the driver from anything coming into the car. The open top allows the driver to escape quickly. Vettel said the curvature of the shield distorted his vision and made him dizzy. He also complained about irregular airflow coming over the shield on the back straight, forcing his head forward. We'll have to wait to see how things develop. The FIA is determined to introduce some sort of head protection, but the current solutions are proving difficult to implement.
