I have up for sale what has been my around town driver for the last year and a half or so. I have enjoyed this car thoroughly but it is time for a new Corvette!! I have put about 4,000 trouble free miles on this car and know it well. The Car went through an inspection at Ferrari of Orlando when the previous owner purchased it and had over $6,000 worth of maintenance done in 2012, including a new Ferrari Driver side Exhaust Manifold ($1,957.13), battery, oil pressure sending unit, and a new ignition switch. At the time of service Ferrari diagnosed a faulty CAT ECU. When I purchased the car, I had all three Cat ECU's replaced, two new green ECU's and a good working used Black ECU. I also had the Cats gutted to get that nice Ferrari note. (not too noisy but just perfect in my opinion). I had O2 sensor spacers installed to avoid check codes. Included with the sale are two used Cat's. not the best shape but will allow for the car to pass inspection in a state that requires it.

Now on to the car. This car gets constant attention, and is an absolute blast to drive. The engine fires up every time with no issues, the transmission shifts like butter, and the clutch was replaced at about 25K miles and grips very well. The timing belts were replaced at around 29K miles. This vehicle was issued a Salvage/rebuilt title early on in its life and has had lots of trouble free miles put on since. I have been all over this car and cannot find any signs of damage or repair, and it also drives perfectly, with no issues. The Orlando Ferrari dealer also could not find any signs of previous repair and was surprised to hear of the rebuilt title on this car. The Autocheck also shows no Accidents so I don't know???? I did a compression check and got the following results:

Bank 1: 1: 170 2:170 3:175 4:165 Bank 2: 5:175 6:175 7:175 8:175 This car does not smoke, make any strange noises, or use oil at all. I just replaced the oil with Mobil 1 Synthetic and a fresh Ferrari oil filter.

This car presents very nicely but with full disclosure in mind there are only minor signs of wear and tear, including a few rock chips, surface scratches, 2 minor dings. The interior is nice as well, with most sticky parts refinished including the A/C vents. No rips or tears in the leather, the driver seat is showing minor wear on the bolster.

This car is perfect for the buyer with intentions of driving and enjoying a Ferrari without the constant worry of devaluing the car either via mileage or wear and tear. This was my intention and I loved every second of it!!! There is nothing like getting behind the wheel of a red, 6 speed Ferrari coupe. I usually do not get attached to cars but there will be a tear in my eye when this one drives away. Tires are older, showing signs of age and wear and should be replaced soon. Wheels have some nicks and scratches but are in nice shape.

LaFerrari Spider among Maranello's future product plans

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Niche though its products may be, Ferrari typically rolls out a new model every year. 2009, for example, saw the introduction of the California. In 2010 came the 458 Italia, followed by the 458 Spider in 2011. In 2012 we greeted the FF, and in 2013 both the F12 Berlinetta and 458 Speciale. This year the hyper-exotic LaFerrari was joined by the California T, and you can bet that Maranello will keep up that pace by rolling out new versions of and replacements for each of these models in succession.
Among the plans which Car and Driver reports Ferrari has afoot will be an open-top LaFerrari Spider - something which the Prancing Horse marque hasn't done at the top of its range since the F50, which came exclusively with a removable hardtop. The 6.3-liter hybrid V12 will likely carry over unchanged, as will most of the other parameters, but for the joy of experiencing 1,000 horsepower with the wind in your hair - and the exclusivity of being one of the just 50 owners - we're told to expect a price tag roughly double that of the existing $1.35 million coupe.
Of course, Ferrari has more plans than simply chopping the roof off its hybrid hypercar. In Geneva next March, the House that Enzo Built is tipped to introduce a Modificato version of the 458 with a twin-turbo V8 producing around 670 horsepower - over one hundred horses more than in the new California T. A refresh for the all-wheel-drive FF is also said to be underway for 2016, when it will receive a less awkward roofline and the possible addition of a V8 base version alongside the V12 that will remain naturally aspirated. As it will in the updated F12 due the following year.

The troubled Alfa Romeo Giulia needs serious help [UPDATE]

Wed, Feb 10 2016

UPDATE: An Alfa Romeo US spokesman responded to this article with the following statement: The safety concerns expressed in the story are false. The all-new 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia is designed and engineered to meet or exceed all federal safety regulations. The Alfa Romeo Giulia will begin production for the North American market in the late second-quarter of this year. Alfa Romeo will have a full product portfolio of premium vehicles that includes plans for (8) all-new Alfa Romeo vehicles by 2020. The product launches are prioritized by segment volumes starting this year with the Alfa Romeo Giulia production for North America starting in late Q2, followed by the Midsize-UV – the 2nd largest premium segment in North America. Even on the day you dragged them kicking and screaming and gesticulating wildly to a table full of concrete evidence, Alfa Romeo executives will never admit the Giulia program is going through a tough patch. But it is. Reports say the Giulia, on the eve of production, didn't just fail one internal crash test, but failed the front, side and rear impact tests. Alfa denies it. Automotive News published a report last week saying two suppliers had insisted the Giulia, on the eve of production, didn't just fail one internal crash test, but failed the front-, side-, and rear-impact tests. A third supplier source told us the same thing. Alfa is denying it. It was due on sale in Europe late last year and was supposed to be here in the next month or two. But it wasn't, and it won't. It was to be headlined by a twin-turbo V6 that reportedly howled its way around the Nurburgring 14 seconds faster than the BMW M3 could manage. That second part is only true if you believe it's fair to compare a full lap in a standard BMW M3 with a favorable accumulation of sector times to a development prototype Giulia with 220 pounds stripped out of it and rolling on hand-cut racing slicks. No, me neither. A Promising Start The Giulia's all-new architecture was developed in just two years by a skunkworks of young engineers headed by Fiat's engineering prince, Philippe Krief, and (bafflingly) sited inside Maserati's headquarters complex in Modena, about three hours from Alfa Romeo's own Turin HQ.

Ferrari celebrates at Hong Kong's Asia World Expo

Thu, 24 Oct 2013

More than 600 Ferrari models, representing every era of the famed automaker's production, celebrated 30 years of presence in Hong Kong with a gathering at the Asia World Expo this past weekend. The event marked the largest single gathering of Maranello's sports cars ever organized in China. The weekend culminated with Marc Gene, Scuderia Ferrari's test driver, unveiling the new 458 Speciale.
There are only about 1,700 Ferrari owners in China, and they boast an average age of just 35 years. The young clientele in the Asian market often take advantage of Ferrari's 'Tailor Made' bespoke program and they have a growing interest in racing. The automaker says that many will travel to the Mugello circuit in Italy to participate in the final event of the Asia Pacific series of the Ferrari Challenge in a couple weeks.
"I am pleased to be here to celebrate Ferrari's thirty years in Hong Kong, along with so many owners who share our passion and the search for excellence, exclusivity and innovation," said President Luca di Montezemolo. The video shows hundreds of Ferraris, in popular white, yellow and red, being arranged indoors to form the Bauhinia Blakeana, a five-pedal flower that is the characteristic symbol of Hong Kong. Apparently owners of the more exclusive Blu Scozia, Avio Met and Vinaccia colors were asked to park outside. Scroll down below for a video and press release detailing the event.
