INVESTMENT: Now's
the time to invest in a Ferrari and for several reasons, all of which make good
economic sense. Think about it. The financial world has never
settled since the recession. Stocks go up and down; the real estate
market is in a constant state of flux. Europe’s economy has had its fair share
of troubles. Yet Art and Ferraris are going only one direction and that’s
up. Ferraris are an international commodity. They're desired from Beverly
Hills to Beijing and bought, sold and shipped as such. They're
not making any more 328 Ferrari’s while they continue to mine for new gold and
diamonds. India, China and Russia, the emerging economies, will add nearly 3
billion consumers to the 1 billion current Ferrari consumer categories
(USA-Europe-Japan). As those economies strengthen there will be an ever
increasing demand for older/classic, Ferraris. Modern legislation means
there will never be cars that look like the older/classic sculpted Ferraris
designed by Pinin Farina. Ferraris will continue to be great machines,
but they will not be the cars built under Enzo Ferrari and designed by Pinin
Farina when Ferrari truly was “Ferrari.” Supply
and demand set price. Dino’s are pushing $300k to $400k. Pinin Farina,
the same designer who designed the Dino also designed the Ferrari 328. The Ferrari
328 is the Dino’s successor. In the last several years the once unloved Ferrari
330GT 2+2 has gone from $30k to more than $100k! Now is the time to buy
your quality older/classic Ferrari’s…while they are still affordable. The
Ferrari 328 is arguably one of the best looking Ferrari’s of the last 40 years. HISTORY: According
to the publication Sports Car Market, “In my opinion the 328 is the best
built, most reliable Ferrari ever. PERIOD. It is the product of a dozen years
of 308 experience. It was solidly constructed with a steel body welded to an
oval tube frame. It featured simple Bosch fuel injection, a go/no-go electronic
ignition system and an engine you serviced without removing from the car.
Most important, it was the last Ferrari that could be repaired by a good import
shop. The following generation of V8 Ferraris evolved into temples to high tech
gadgetry. When something goes wrong with one of these technological marvels,
you have to truck your car to an authorized Ferrari dealer—they’re the only
place that has the computer necessary to fix your car.” I am the 3rd owner of this beautiful
Ferrari. This vehicle has been meticulously maintained with all proper
paperwork and documentation. The vehicle has only been serviced by a Ferrari
Dealer and certified Ferrari mechanics. This car originated from Ferrari Kessler Auto Group in NYC in 1987. The first owner traded the car to Ferrari Miller
Motors of Greenwich, CT in 1994 (Kessler Auto Group left
NYC to become Ferrari Miller Motors) with 14,662 miles. The second owner
purchased the car from Ferrari Miller Motors in 1994. The third owner (me)
purchased the car in 2012 with 31,000 miles. DETAILS: Exterior is in flawless condition. The car was repainted by the second owner by a highly recommended exotic car auto body shop from Ferrari Miller Motors. Paint shows no scratches, dents, swirls marks or imperfections. You will not find a nicer paint job on a 328 and I consistently get compliments at car shows on how flawless this car looks! Interior is great condition for its age showing some aging and wear.
Carpets, dashboard, and roof liner are in pristine condition. Only flaw is a small quarter inch wear mark in
drivers side seat (see photo). Professionally installed Alpine CD/Audio System including 6.5” component
speaker system and amplifier. SERVICES: Full services completed by Ferrari Miller Motor Cars, Greenwich, CT (this car has two major services within its lifetime with the last major service being done less than 3,000 miles ago). 16,179 miles the following services
were completed: Dealer installed new clutch (when traded-in 1994) 24,430 miles the following services
were completed: 30,000
mile services including replacement of all belts, timing belt, tensioners, CAM
and DIST seals adjusted valves, spark plugs, all fluids, clutch adjustments,
etc. 29,687 miles the following services
were completed: 30,000 mile services including replacement of all belts, timing belt, tensioners, CAM and DIST seals adjusted valves, spark plugs, all fluids, clutch adjustments, etc.
31,200 miles the following services were completed: Replaced water pump and removed original working catalytic converter. Replaced with custom racing test pipe (have saved all original parts). The
vehicle is garage stored and used only on various weekends throughout the
summer season after the roads are cleaned from the winter sand/salt. Vehicle comes with all accessories, tools, manuals, covers and
service/history documentation. I
even have the original window sticker from 1987 and original dealer bill of
sale! The Ferrari 328 is the last real Ferrari designed by Pinin Farina and is
timeless in design. The 3.2-litre V8 engine is one of Ferrari's most reliably
motors with the lowest maintenance costs. If you’re looking for a stunning
classic Ferrari that has been well cared for, this is the vehicle for you! According
to Ferrari Market Letter Ferrari 328GTS's are going up in value significantly
and can only increase as they become rarer. Ferrari 328's are the continuation
of the bloodline started with the 246's then evolved into 308's and finally
vastly improved 328's. 328's are considered the most reliable and maintenance
free of Enzo era Ferrari's. Clean

Ferrari SUV in the works, finally?
Fri, Jul 7 2017There are some things that Ferrari just won't do. Pink cars. Electric vehicles. SUVs. Well, about that last one... There's long been talk about Ferrari taking the leap and producing a utility vehicle to rival the likes of the Porsche Cayenne (but, like, for way more money). Lamborghini has already gotten the hint with the upcoming Urus. Now, Car says that it can confirm that Ferrari is, in fact, working on a crossover, and the project is codenamed F16X. The British magazine even has its own artist rendering of the rumored ute, though if that's what the thing actually ends up looking like, we'll eat our hat. Car's sources in Maranello say that the vehicle will be built alongside the next-gen GTC4 Lusso (current model pictured above) with aluminum architecture, that it'll be a high-riding soft-roader, and will feature rear suicide doors with no B-pillar (picture a big opening to the rear seats). It will have all-wheel drive, building on Ferrari's experience with the FF and GTC4 Lusso. Under the hood will be a gasoline V8, possibly with a hybrid powertrain option. The Ferrari F16X won't be cheap, of course, and is expected to fetch about $342,000 at today's exchange rates. We're assuming that doesn't account for the cost of inflation between now and 2021, when the CUV is expected to launch. And don't be surprised if Ferrari does everything it can to avoid using the words "crossover" or "SUV" in reference to the F16X. Related Video:
Ferrari IPO may turn out to be good news for enthusiasts
Tue, Oct 27 2015Sergio Marchionne's strategy to spin off Ferrari from FCA and make the Italian automaker a publicly traded company has been met with ire from a vocal contingent of enthusiasts ever since rumors about the plan began to surface a few years ago. Some of these particularly pessimistic automotive pundits have voiced fears that with stockholders in the mix, it would not only spell the demise of the exclusive Italian supercar maker as we know it, but would in fact "ruin" the company. Call me dense, but I fail to see what the issue is. That isn't to say that I don't understand what's causing the fear. When profitability becomes a higher priority for a brand that's historically relied on exclusivity to keep its products in the highest echelons of desirability, there's a high potential for internal philosophical conflict. And then there are concerns about the sorts of products that Ferrari might develop that aren't the high-performance sports cars that the brand is known for. But individuals with those apprehensions seem to forget that Ferrari has already lent its name to a multitude of things that are not LaFerraris, 488 GTBs, or F12 Berlinettas, including clothing, headphones, and even laptops. But let's assume for a moment that the core anxiety is about future vehicles – including the unspeakable notion that Ferrari might develop an SUV. Why wouldn't Ferrari build an SUV, especially after seeing how incredibly successful that endeavor has been for Porsche? I think it's likely that Ferrari will put engineers to task creating some sort of crossover or high-rolling cruiser with room for the whole family at some point in the near future. And why wouldn't it, after seeing how incredibly successful that endeavor has been for Porsche? After all, the Cayenne accounted for more US sales in 2013 than the Boxster, Cayman, 911, and 918 combined, and it only gave up about a thousand units of sales last year to make room for the Macan crossover, the latter of which Porsche sold nearly as many of as it did Boxsters and Caymans. People want these vehicles, and they're willing to pay quite a bit of money for them. If we use Porsche's recent trajectory as a foreshadowing metric for what's in store for Ferrari, the future actually looks pretty good. After all, those SUV sales keep plenty of cash in Porsche's coffers for the low-volume projects that we enthusiasts love, like the 918 Spyder and the 911 GT3 RS.
Ferrari SP38 is the latest one-off creation from the Prancing Horse
Wed, May 23 2018Ferrari has unveiled its latest one-off creation, called the SP38, a road- and track-going car built for "one of Ferrari's most dedicated customers" who has a "deep passion for racing." Swathed in a three-layer metallic red paint finish for its all-new body, the SP38 is built on the chassis and running gear of a donor 488 GTB and took its twin-turbo, twin-intercooler influence from the F40. Stylistically, the car concentrates its visual mass over the rear wheels, with a rear spoiler and engine cover reminiscent of the F40, with a wedge shape that narrows toward the front. "In plan view, the strongly tapered nose expands towards muscular wheel arches, giving the car potency and agility," Ferrari says. The engine cover sheds its rear glass and is a flip-up assembly done in carbon fiber, with three transverse slats to siphon off engine heat. At the back, the trailing edge of the rear spoiler "links seamlessly with the wing and with the aerodynamic diffuser at the bottom to create a suggestive frame surrounding the tail volume." Up front, inset headlights were designed to be as thin as possible, with daytime running lights relocated to a slim bumper lip similar to the 308 GTB. No word on the SP38's powertrain, but it seems likely that it's the 488's mid-engine 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8, which makes 660 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque. It'll go on display to the public on Saturday, May 26, at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on Lake Como in Italy.
