1981 308 GTSi. Chassis has 68k miles. Drivetrain has around 9k miles. Car was converted to the euro 42DCNF Weber carburetors / manifold. Complete rebuild of motor (top and bottom ends). Block number F106B04000941. Venolia 9.8:1 pistons, ported and polished heads, electronic ignition (distributor conversion), MSD6A and MSD Blaster 2 coil, Viton seals for valves, and all new ancillaries at the time including clutch. Car runs and sounds great and likely performs just as well or better in some respects than a QV.

Exterior is an older repaint (original color) that looks great. Stock (high) front air-dam and grill and single mirror. Interior is in great shape too with new center console, door panels, carpeting and trim. Dash has no warping, cracks or shrinkage. 16" QV staggered wheels (not replicas). Custom exhaust; no cat or air pump. Have spare, manual, records, tool-roll and tools.

Car is a great driver and with the euro conversion, it's lots of fun and makes all the right noises...but don't think you're going to go to Italiano and get 90+ points. This car is modified (for all the right reasons) and of course, not original. The benefit is it's priced lower than most any carbureted (or injected 2-valve) 308 you will find in this condition.

Race Recap: Singapore Grand Prix is about a safety car and submission

The Singapore Formula One Grand Prix is the Monaco GP of the Orient - a weekend known more for its glamour and time-slot than on-track action, with a temporary circuit that punishes every mistake, usually terminally.
Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas got the best of Free Practice 1, opening the curtain on a possible resurgence of Silver Arrows performance. By the time qualifying was done, though, it was his teammate Nico Rosberg who lined up second on the grid, followed by Romain Grosjean with a beautiful performance in the Lotus, Mark Webber in the Infiniti Red Bull, and Hamilton all the way back in fifth. Behind them were Felipe Massa outqualifying Ferrari teammate Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button getting the McLaren into eighth, Daniel Ricciardo with another good Q3 effort to get into ninth, and the shocker of Esteban Gutiérrez getting his Sauber into the top ten for the first time this year.
At the front of the pack was Sebastian Vettel. Again. But he was only ahead of Rosberg by a single tenth of a second...

Ferrari launches 2014 Formula One engine, tests it in a LaFerrari? [w/videos]

Ferrari is the last of the three engine manufacturers remaining in Formula One to reveal its 2014 power unit. Called the 059/3, like the Mercedes and Renault units it is a turbocharged, 1.6-liter V6 further boosted by an energy recovery system that is twice as powerful as before. The 2013 KERS was good for 80 horsepower, could power the car for six seconds and reduce a lap time by about 0.3 seconds. For 2014, the energy recovery system puts out 160 hp, powers the car for 30 seconds on full batteries and, according to Ferrari, can shave a massive three seconds per lap.
The car that surrounds this engine doesn't have a name yet - that will be chosen by Ferrari's social media followers in January from a selection of names provided by the Scuderia.
Ferrari didn't provide an audio sample of the power unit at its introduction, but a brief video taken at Fiorano has led folks to believe that the team has been testing the engine in a revised LaFerrari chassis. The clip shows a camouflaged version of the marque's new supercar fitted with a roof intake and sounding nothing at all like a V12 as it takes the hairpin and powers onto the straight.

Those numbers outdo the 488 GTB by 50 hp and eight pound-feet of torque. The engine will get the 488 Pista in its lightest guise from a standstill to 62 miles per hour in 2.85 seconds, with 124 mph arriving in 7.6 seconds. Maximum velocity tops out at 211 mph.
