2003 Doge Srt-10 Viper V10 2 Tops Hard Top Convertible on 2040-cars
Newark, Delaware, United States
Lowered price Includes Hard top and Soft top, Navigation, loaded. Lowered Reserve! Priced to sell.
This is a beautiful Viper SRT-10. The silver paint shows the lines of this vehicle very well, possibly the best color for this model. This is an unmolested adult owned Viper No stories No excuses. Tires were replaced with PS2's from the original run-flats a couple years ago and still are very serviceable. This is a fully loaded car with everything including navigation. This convertible is a two top car (VERY RARE) This has a hard top that drastically changes the look of this Viper from the usual convertibles. This makes the car quieter than the normal soft top and allows the car to participate in track days if you ever wanted to. These hard tops cost thousands of dollars when they were available but were discontinued years ago so don't bother looking for another one. We took this car on a trip the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway and was a very comfortable enjoyable trip. This Viper is clean and in very good condition. All services have been done on schedule with the correct factory fluids. Please look at the pictures, this is a very nice car. I had planned to keep it for a long long time but divorce forces the sale. Buy this car and enjoy it for years to come. This is a reserve auction, but the reserve is MUCH LOWER than the buy it now. It is priced for quick sale. Don't miss this one! |

Old vs. New: 2014 SRT Viper takes on upgraded 16-year-old Dodge Viper
Fri, 08 Feb 2013It's easy to play the "Would you rather have a New X or an Old Y with a bunch of upgrades?" game more often than we care to admit, but the crew at Car and Driver have taken bench racing to the next level with their latest video. In it, the magazine pits a brand-new 2014 SRT Viper against a highly modified 1997 Dodge Viper GTS. There are 16 years between the time this particular GTS rolled off the production line and when the new car bowed, but that doesn't mean the old snake's owners have been sitting on their hands.
Thanks to a spate of modifications, the GTS offers up a better power to weight ratio than the new machine, but is that enough to overcome the technological leap forward represented by the 2014 Viper? We won't spoil it for you. You'll just have to check out the full clip below for yourself.
Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango to lose color options temporarily
Wed, 19 Nov 2014In the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango? Well, if you fancy a more expressive color for your new SUV, you'd better get your order in, or plan on waiting until well into 2015.
The SUVs will be limited to just four monochromatic shades - black, white, silver and gray - until at least February, thanks to an upgrade to the paint shop at the two vehicles' Jefferson North factory. For the Grand Cherokee, that means it's losing more than half its color palette while the Durango is dropping two-thirds of its color catalog.
The loss of colors is inconvenient, but the upgrade will have a slightly bigger effect on the overall supply of SUVs, as Chrysler will need to end its relentless build pace at the factory for a three-week shutdown starting on December 22. The good news for fans of the SUVs is that once the work is completed, we should see a gradual expansion of the color palettes for both the Durango and Grand Cherokee, beyond even what's offered now.
Chrysler recalling 2009-2010 Ram 1500, Dodge Dakota pickups over axle pinion nut
Mon, 08 Oct 2012Chrysler is issuing a recall for the 2009 and 2010 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota pickup trucks due to improper installation of the rear axle pinion nut. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of 44,300 trucks are affected by the recall, and there have been 12 confirmed incidents including one crash.
The issue on both trucks is that the pinion nut is loosening on some trucks due to a lack of thread adhesive, and it is causing the rear axle to lock up resulting in loss of vehicle control. NHTSA's recall notice says that eight incidents occurred at speeds over 35 miles per hour and most also exhibited driveshaft failures as well since the loss of the pinion nut would cause the gear to separate from the driveshaft. In one complaint, the driveshaft separated from the rear axle and punctured the gas tank.
Chrysler will begin sending out recall notices to affected owners in November, but scroll down to see the official NHTSA notice.
