LOW RESERVER - MUST SELL

This is my 1994 Dodge Stealth (Base model). It was for sale once before, but buyer never showed after offer. Relisting for other interested buyers!

Car sports aftermarket spoke wheels, a touchscreen DVD system that supports A/V input, SD Card, video and others, a nice ampified bandpass speaker with attached capacitor. Stereo is very clear, and very nice.

Recently tuned-up, also has upgraded cold air intake (Washable air filter comes in behind bumper intake channel).

I did some fill-in body work where there were some small dents and dings and some ate-through spots from the birds. These areas were pulled, filled, and painted. There IS overspray in some areas. Some of the body work still needs to be color-sanded, buffed and shined. The overspray areas can be cleaned with a good wet sanding. I just do not have time to do anything else. The photos will highlight these spots.

History
================================================

I have owned this vehicle a little over two years and have barely put 5,000 miles on it. I cleaned it up the best that I could and have driven it purely for fun. I need something bigger, though. Lots of kids to haul (three) and no space in this one. Would be a great tuner with lots of upgrades on the market. This IS a Mitsubishi 3000GT, for those who do not know. Most of all upgrades are interchangable, the motors are the same. The car is VERY FAST.

I was a mechanic, but was recently laid off. So, all the maintenence has been done and I would not be afraid to drive it to the other coast.

Dodge Durango SRT is much cheaper than Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT

Fri, Jul 7 2017

Dodge has finally announced availability and pricing for the 475-horsepower Dodge Durango SRT. The Detroit-built SUV will start at $64,090 and hit dealer lots toward the end of the year. It's not a cheap SUV by any means, but you get a lot for the money: including 470 pound-feet of torque, and all-wheel-drive. Plus it has three rows of seats and can tow 8,600 pounds. Not only that, but it's basically the best performance SUV deal from the Fiat-Chrysler group. The Grand Cherokee SRT, with the same engine, costs almost $4,000 more at $67,990. The Durango SRT outperforms the Grand Cherokee in several key areas, too. It's 0.4 seconds quicker to 60 mph and manages to break into the 12s in the quarter-mile whereas the Grand Cherokee is stuck in the mid-13-second range. The Durango can also tow an extra 1,400 pounds, has an extra row of seats, and has more maximum cargo space with the seats. So unless you just really love the Jeep look and brand, the Durango SRT seems like the logical choice. And if either still isn't potent enough, just wait for the upcoming Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Regardless of your choice of SRT vehicle, you'll still come away with a really powerful SUV, as well as a day of instruction at the Bob Bondurant driving school in Arizona. Only in Japan: Dodge van one-make racing series is a thing

Wed, Jul 15 2015

Japan seems willing to embrace a level of automotive insanity that many other places lack. Whether it's 1,200-horsepower Nissan GT-Rs blasting through tight, tree-lined mountain roads or advertisements with dances for the Toyota Prius Plug-in, the country definitely has a unique way of expressing a love for autos. The D-Van Grand Prix might be one of our favorite examples yet of crazy Japanese car culture, because the annual, one-make race at the Ebisu Circuit is exclusively for heavily customized Dodge vans. Like many great things, this wonderfully crazy idea came from a little rule breaking. D-Van Grand Prix organizer Takuro Abe was at a track event for a motorcycle racing school, and vans were used to haul the bikes around. During lunch someone came up with the idea for a race. Ignoring that the big machines weren't actually allowed on the circuit, the drivers headed out. The popularity has just grown since then. These days, the racing vans absolutely aren't the stock machines from the event's inspiration. In addition to stripped interiors and track rubber that you might expect, the list of mods for them is a mile long. For every possible advantage, the racers fit them with things like Brembo brakes, cross-drilled rotors, heavy-duty transmissions, and much more. Seeing vans lumbering around the track is very weird at first, but the racers take the competition very seriously. These folks even employ all sorts of little tricks to coax the most from the machines. This is a fascinating motorsports story, but be sure to turn on the subtitles to understand the interviews with the competitors.

Guy trying to sell Challenger Hellcat for $89,000 because VIN ends in '666'

Mon, Jul 27 2015

The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is undoubtedly one of the baddest cars on the road today. With a 707-horsepower supercharged V8 snarling under the hood, the coupe can go down the road like a bat out of hell. There's not much that could make one of these muscle machines much more menacing, but a seller on Craigslist has one bizarre solution: offering a hellacious Hellcat with a VIN marking the Dodge as the beastly 666. What's the price for such unholy identification? That's a cool $89,000 – around $30,000 more than a brand new, less sacrilegious example. The seller claims that the Challenger's blasphemous number makes the vehicle "one of a kind," which is true only to the extent that VINs ending 665 and 667 would be similarly unique. The seller also says in the Craigslist ad, "This car is sure to become a collector's item and will only increase in value." There's no question that the Hellcat is a special machine, and the models just might be worth something decades into the future. Expecting that a future owner is going to care about the VIN seems pretty optimistic, though, unless this is either the first or last example, which it's not. To the credit of this superstitious seller, the Challenger appears completely untouched with all of the warning stickers, paperwork and even the plastic still covering the seats. So, the new owner is at least getting a practically untouched example. While we applaud audacity here, a roughly $30,000 premium for an unholy VIN seems a bit... devilish.
