I have owned this truck for about three years now and has been one of the most reliable trucks I have ever driven. I recently purchased another truck, which is the only reason I am selling this one. The truck has all power options, cruise, cold A/C, and hits the road great. 4 wheel drive works great also. I replaced the rear end about a year ago with an 80k mile rear end assembly. The truck has the H.O. Cummins and 3:55 gear ratio. I also have the original front and rear seats, which I will let go with the truck also, as the current ones do not have the built in seat belts. Ron Burgundy returns for four more Dodge Durango ads
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Dodge has released several more of its Anchorman 2-themed commercials, starring Will Ferrell as inept newsreader Ron Burgundy. The four spots, one of which is a sequel to a previous commercial, follow roughly the same pattern as previous ads, with Ferrell's Burgundy misunderstanding or generally making a fool of himself. For some of the ads, though, Burgundy is selling more than just Durangos - the red-suited host of San Diego's most watched news broadcast shilling the entire Dodge lineup.
We've included all four ads down below, and you can also hope over to our original posts to see some of the older commercials. Oh, and if you're getting tired of these - we aren't, aside from the Do-dge spot - just remember that Ferrell reportedly filmed around 70 ads for Dodge.
Dodge Viper recall requires small-handed mechanics
Fri, 25 Apr 2014It has been over a year since Chrysler first announced its recall of 3,660 2003-2004 Dodge Vipers because the airbag could suddenly deploy. The repairs are finally beginning, and it appears to be a nightmare for mechanics.
According to the automaker's filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag control module can fail, which causes the bag or the seatbelt pre-tensioner to deploy without warning. It took over a year to design the new parts, according to The New York Times. However, Chrysler finally has a new "jumper harness with an in-line diode filter circuit" ready to fix the problem.
The dilemma now moves to the mechanics who have to actually install the part. A 47-step guide from Chrysler explains that the procedure should take about two hours. It's not an easy job, though. Most of the dashboard has to be taken apart, and the instructions include this helpful bit of advice: "Installing the jumper harness and filter box into position is not an easy task. Patience, perseverance, and small hands are required." We wish the best of luck to them. The fix comes just in time for the Vipers to enjoy the summer sun.
