2000 Ram 3500 4X4 Diesel, Quad Cab- FULLY LOADED!!!
This truck is ready to go! I have driven as my personal vehicle for the past year. It is not new, but is the cleanest high mile truck I have seen. This truck looks and runs like a truck with 100K miles! It was purchased from the past owner who used this truck as his personal sales vehicle and traveled between three separate business locations he owned. All were about 100 miles from each other. This is why all the miles are on the truck. It has mostly highway miles and you can tell! The truck starts, runs, drives, stops and mostly everything works as it should. Always has been WELL MAINTAINED and you can tell! The truck is still pretty solid and has no known mechanical issues. It has never failed me, nor have I done major repairs! I did just rebuild the entire front steering system. New tire rods, tie rod ends, track bar, steering damper shock and more! I purchased an entire kit that included Ball Joints, but Ball joints and front U-joints were replaced recently, so you will have an extra set of Ball Joints. Now for the details: This truck is FULLY LOADED, every option available! Leather seats(see only minor rip on Drivers seat), Power heated mirrors(tow style), Power windows/locks, mirrors, Power driver/passenger seats with lumbar/heat, CD MP3 player with remote, PremiumSound, Key Fob for doors(need batteries), Truck is SLT Laramie package. Bed liner is plastic, does have rails for gooseneck or fifthwheel, I have never used this and it doesn't look like it has ever been used much. Tires are at least 50% all matching. Stainless wheel simulators Four Wheel Drive works flawlessly! Truck does have the following issues/needs(I like to disclose all I know so you and I are both on the same page): Minor rust started on the bottom of doors behind wheels. Last Winter I sanded and used Rust Converter and 3M rubberized coating to seal. It still seems to be 'bubbling' more. Still looks very presentable. The only other areas of rust are bottom lip of tailgate(not visible from rear) and just above rubber coating on drivers fender. Other then this, TRUCK AND UNDERSIDE are mostly clean. The cruise control works intermittently, works better when wheel tilt is lower? A/C compressor is BRAND NEW, I have not re-charged, but will work when charged. I might be able to do this still and will update. Minor discoloration below the fuel fill and passenger side fender. Overall this truck is VERY PRESENTABLE, VERY RELIABLE and is ready to drive cross-country! I still take this truck on long trips and do not hesitate to do so! It is a truck most people compliment me on how CLEAN it is and how HARD IT IS TO FIND a nice looking, dependable, old Cummins like this! Feel free to call to discuss truck. Andrew 419-810-9042 Truck is also for sale locally, Payment is due within 5 days, NO EXCEPTIONS! Depending on location, I can deliver it, or have it shipped. 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express in Generation Gap showdown with 1933 Ford Pickup
Fri, 18 Jul 2014Auto enthusiasts love a good debate, whether it's Mustang versus Camaro or Ferrari against Lamborghini. But how about a battle between two very different vintages of classic pickup trucks? In this case, the fight is between a 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express and a 1933 Ford Model 46 truck with a flathead V8.
The shootout comes courtesy of the internet series Generation Gap, and its concept is super-simple. One guy prefers classics, and the other likes newer rides. They choose a category, pick two vehicles and put them head to head. In this case, neither is exactly modern, though. The Ford is more than old enough to receive Social Security checks, and the Dodge is hardly a young whippersnapper.
Other than both being pickups, these two models were made to serve very different functions. The Li'l Red Express was basically the progenitor of today's muscle trucks, with a big V8 that made it one of the quickest new models in its day (admittedly, 1979 was a rough time for automotive performance). On the other hand, the '33 Ford was just meant to work, with little pretense for anything else. One of the hosts describes it as "the simplest, most difficult" vehicle he's driven because of the tricky double clutchwork necessary to shift gears. Scroll down to watch the video and try to decide which of these two American classics you would rather have in your garage.
Dodge whips covers off 2013 Blacktop series
Thu, 10 Jan 2013Dodge introduced us to its Blacktop model lineup a year ago with the 2012 Charger and followed up with more recently with the 2013 Challenger and 2013 Avenger. Now the automaker will be applying this ominous-looking treatment to the Durango, Grand Caravan and Journey models for 2013 as well. These models will be unveiled next week at the Detroit Auto Show, but Dodge has released most of the details for these new products including pricing and availability.
If the Grand Caravan R/T (aka, the Man Van) wasn't aggressive enough for you or its $30,000 starting price was a little too pricey, then the 2013 Grand Caravan Blacktop could be the ticket. Starting with the SXT trim level (which stickers at $19,995), the Blacktop package costs only $595, and adds unique features such as blacked-out headlights, grille and fog lights bezels and an all-black interior. The van rides on black-accented, 17-inch aluminum wheels. The Grand Caravan Blacktop is only available in monochromatic paint schemes limited to Billet Silver, Brilliant Black, Maximum Steel, Redline Red and Stone White
Likewise, the 2013 Journey Blacktop is offered only on the SXT model (starting at $18,995) with all of the crossover's normal options such as four- and six-cylinder engines, five- or seven-passenger seating and front- or all-wheel drive. The Blacktop package adds $995 to the Journey SXT's price and features many of the same black accents as the Grand Caravan like the headlights, grille, door mirrors and lower fascia. Exterior colors are limited to Bright Silver, Bright Red, Brilliant Black, Brilliant Red Tri-Coat, White, Pearl White Tri-Coat and Storm Grey, and the package's 19-inch wheels come in Gloss Black. Inside, the Journey Blacktop comes standard with black cloth seats and Chrysler's 8.4-inch Uconnect touch screen, but black leather is also available as an option.
The Dodge Demon was developed under a cloud of smoke
Tue, Jun 6 2017The Dodge Demon needs no introduction. The car is so full of superlatives that most of it sounds unbelievable until you see and hear it in action. The car was revealed after months of teasers and cryptic messages, but the public weren't the only ones in the dark. From the start, the Demon's development was a closely guarded secret. There were even some within SRT that didn't know about the project. The people behind the car went through a lot of effort to keep it that way. At an event covering the finer details of the Demon's supercharged 6.2-liter V8, Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis and SRT Powertrain Director Chris Cowland spoke about the smoke and mirrors used to hide the Demon's development. Work on the car progressed for nearly two years before it was made public, with just a small team having full access to the project. Numbers were altered. Secret meetings were held. SRT engineers worked nights and weekends while parts suppliers were given as little information as possible to move progress forward. Preliminary work on the Demon began in April of 2015, not long after the standard Hellcat hit the streets. The goal wasn't to create a faster Hellcat. Kuniskis said that would have been easy. They wanted a single-minded vehicle that could also be driven on the road. It's the same mindset that brought about the Dodge Viper ACR. Dodge wanted a car that could sell the brand to both enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike. 840 horsepower is going to raise anyone's eyebrows, including the Camry owner parked down the street. While preliminary work started in April, the final greenlight wasn't given until September. The project was originally going to revive the American Drag Racer, or ADR, name. When we saw the first hints of the Demon last fall, we labeled the spy photo above the Dodge Challenger ADR. It was set to have 10-percent more power and 20-percent more launch force than the already gut-punching Hellcat. It was also only going to have a quarter-mile time in the 10s, just slightly quicker than the Hellcat. Somewhere along the line, the team realized that the ADR wasn't enough. It was just going to be a Hellcat plus, and that wasn't exciting. The main goal was changed: 9s with light. Translated, that means a 9-second quarter mile with light under the tires (read: a wheelie). From that point forward, everything about the Demon's development, from power to suspension to weight, would be done in pursuit of that goal.
