I have for sale an original and 1 owner 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins 5.9 Turbo Diesel Dually with 147k miles. This truck is a true work horse that will pull and push anything in its way.

Before I go any further I want to be extremely clear and honest. This truck is a 2003 and is in very good condition, however there are a few small imperfections on the truck.  This is not a show room truck but the truck is in clean and very presentable.

The car currently has 147k miles and always maintained since new. This is a one owner truck and I still have all the documents for this vehicle when bought new. If you are not familiar with the Laramine edition, it is fully loaded with a Alpine sound system, leather seats, steering wheel controls, heated seats, CD player, wood grain dash, etc.

Anything on the truck that needs or needed to be address was always repaired immediately and by a diesel mechanic shop. I have a lot of receipts for the work performed. Off the top of my head I will break down the truck.

**Exterior** (I would rate it an 8 out of 10)
-Dodge White, body is in good condition with a few small dings, nothing major and no rust. There is a quarter size dent on the hood and a small depression on the roof of the truck.
-Painted White Bug Deflector in front
-Tow Mirrors which fold and extend out.
-Tinted Overhead lights
-Tinted third brake and rear tail lights
-New front bumper (replaced due to age)
-New front valance (replaced due to age)
-New lower spoiler (replaced due to age)
-Full Size Tool Box (not included in sale)
-Brand New Wipers
-Rear bumper was spray painted chrome and has dents on it. I would replace it $185.00 for a new bumper.

**Interior** (Rate it an 8 out of 10)
-All original and clean
-Driver seat is worn and has a small rip (see picture)
-Rear seats are in excellent condition however, they have a few small grease stains on them
-Have floor mats which protected the original carpet
-Original carpet and floor mats in good condition
-Only issue with the interior, when I click the unlock on the remote key or from the interior, the doors don't unlock. The module inside the truck needs to be replaced.

**Engine and Drivetrain**
-Truck starts up with zero hesitation, does not smoke, tick, knock, VERY VERY SOLID DIESEL MOTOR!!! Not even broken in.
-Oil replaced religiously 7k miles with diesel 15w-40 oil
-Transmission flushed everything 25k miles. Current had a flush 2k miles ago and oil is bright red. Very Clean and no issues with the transmission. Transmission shifts extremely smooth, OD works perfectly.
-Front and Rear Differential fluid replaced with synthetic oil every 10k miles. Both units had fluids replaced 2k miles ago.
-New OEM alternator (12/2012)
-New A/C Compressor (02/2012)
-New Idle Tensioner (12/2012)
-New serpentine belt (12/2012)
-Replaced Inline Lift Pump (5/2013)
-Replaced Fuel Filter (5/2013)
-S&B Short Ram Intake and Filter
-Replaced both high pressure transmission lines and fittings
-5" Straight Pipe Flo-Pro exhaust with a 5"-6" tip
-AC Needs to be charged.

**Suspension/Brakes/Tires**
-New front hub U-Joints (Right and Left) (10/2011)
-New U joint in 4x4 shaft.
-New front sway bar link arms. Replaced both sides.
-4 (new) Rough Country white shocks with red boots all around (2k miles max)
-2" Spacer up front (to level out truck) (2k miles max)
-New Front and Rear Rotors
-New Brake Pads all around
-Adjusted E-Brake Cable
-6(SIX!!) 285/70/17 Goodyear all terrain tires (Cost $2500.00) tires have 5k on them max! Tires grab excellent in snow and rain. Tires also ride extremely smooth.
-Alignment (11/2012)

**Plow**
Truck comes with a Western Plow set up bought new in 2010. I believe the plow is just around 7.6" wide. Cutting edge is in good shape and has the flap on top to keep snow down. Oil was replaced before the start of the season.

I hope I am not being repetitive on this listing but I would rather be honest with the truck then not disclose an issue. The two issues with the truck as listed in the action are 1-The interior lock module needs to be replaced, the windows all work but the unlock and lock button does not unlock and of the locks. You have to do it manually.
2-The AC needs to be charged.

The Exterior of the truck has a small dent on the rear half of the passenger side rear door. The bed is in good condition but shows some signs of wear and tear. This truck was only used for personal use, no heavy equipment used in the truck.

The only towing I do with this truck is my 21 foot boat, no gooseneck trailer, never had any extension for that either. The bottom of the bed is in very good condition with no rust. The frame rails are extremely solid, some areas have a slight surface rust but nothing any where close to rusting through. I really enjoy this truck a lot, but personally I don't have the use for it any more.  I don't have use for a 1-ton truck.  If you are on the market for a new truck and cant afford 60k for a new truck  diesel dually this is for you!!  I am asking 18500.00 OBO. I am located in Tenafly NJ 07670. I will not ship this truck, but I will assist the new buyer if the truck needs to be shipped. The truck is being sold as is with no warranties expressed or implied.

Zombie cars: Discontinued vehicles that aren't dead yet

Thu, Jan 6 2022

Car models come and go, but as revealed by monthly sales data, once a car is discontinued, it doesn't just disappear instantly. And in the case of some models, vanishing into obscurity can be a slow, tedious process. That's the case with the 12 cars we have here. All of them have been discontinued, but car companies keep racking up "new" sales with them. There are actually more discontinued cars that are still registering new sales than what we decided to include here. We kept this list to the oldest or otherwise most interesting vehicles still being sold as new, including a supercar. We'll run the list in alphabetical order, starting with *drumroll* ... BMW 6 Series: 55 total sales BMW quietly removed the 6 Series from the U.S. market during the 2019 model year. It had been available in three configurations, a hardtop coupe, a convertible and a sleek four-door coupe-like shape.   BMW i8: 18 total sales We've always had a soft spot for the BMW i8, despite the fact that it never quite fit into a particular category. It was sporty, but nowhere near as fast as similarly-priced competitors. It looked very high-tech and boasted a unique carbon fiber chassis design and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but wasn't really designed for maximum efficiency or maximum performance. Still, the in-betweener was very cool to look at and drive, and 18 buyers took one home over the course of 2021.   Chevy Impala: 750 total sales The Impala represented classic American tastes at a time when American tastes were shifting away from soft-riding sedans with big interior room and trunk space and into higher-riding crossovers. A total of 750 sales were inked last year.   Chrysler 200: 15 total sales The Chrysler 200 was actually a pretty nice sedan, with good looks and decent driving dynamics let down by a lack of roominess, particularly in the back seat. Of course, as we said regarding the Chevy Impala, the number of Americans in the market for sedans is rapidly winding down, and other automakers are following Chrysler's footsteps in canceling their slow-selling four-doors. Even if Chrysler never really found its footing in the ultra-competitive midsize sedan segment, apparently dealerships have a few leftover 2017 200s floating around. And for some reason, 15 buyers decided to sign the dotted line to take one of these aging sedans home last year.

2020 Dodge Charger Widebody Daytona wrecked with 296 miles on the clock

Thu, Feb 6 2020

The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition can do 0-60 faster than you can say its name, and one new owner appears to have proven that it can all go wrong just as quickly. This one-of-501 sedan currently resting on a Copart lot in California has already met its end.  Dodge named the model after NASCAR's season-opening venue. The Daytona 500 gets the numerical part of its name from the length of the race — 500 miles. This poor White Knuckle example didn't even live long enough to put that much distance behind it; it shows just 296 miles on its odometer, says Motor1.com, who spotted the wreck on Copart.  This poor Widebody suffered a front-end accident severe enough to pop the airbags, which is never a good sign. Both front fenders took a beating, and the passenger-side panel was ripped off completely. The hood was badly buckled in several places, and the bumper covers appear pretty badly thrashed. It's difficult to tell from these photos whether the front crash structure was badly mangled, but we suspect it didn't come out unscathed. The passenger-side front suspension clearly took a beating, as the tire on that side was de-beaded from the wheel.  On the bright side, multiple images show that the car's electrical system is intact; whether it starts and runs is another matter.  The Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition package is, fundamentally at least, little more than a plaque, a sticker package, and a re-rated 717 peak horsepower. What you really get for your money is exclusivity, and thanks to this little "oops," there's more of that to be had. Only 501 were built (to commemorate the number of production units required to homologate the original Charger Daytona for NASCAR racing); just 451 went to U.S. dealers, and the other 50 were reserved for the Great White North where it's built. These models are so scarce that some dealers were already tacking on tens of thousands of dollars in additional markup. Back in December, at least one dealer had slapped a $25,000 market adjustment on a Daytona model (in the same "White Knuckle" finish as the wrecked car here), and others were being spotted with similar tacked-on premiums.  Related Video:

Dodge Hellcat Widebody delivers Christmas tree at 174 mph

Thu, Dec 21 2017

The holidays are here, and so last-minute shoppers are going to be in a serious rush to get all the items they need, especially Christmas shoppers that haven't even put up a tree yet. Those seriously late folks may want to invest in a Challenger Hellcat because apparently they can go an incredible 174 mph with a Christmas tree strapped to the roof. This was discovered by the folks at Hennessey. They got a Hellcat Widebody from Dodge for the little experiment, along with a suction cup mount roof rack from SeaSucker and a real Christmas tree from Lowe's. Then it was off to the Continental Tire test track in Texas to see how fast it could go, which, as mentioned was 174 mph. As you'll see in the video, it takes quite a bit of road to move up from 170 to 174 mph. It's impressive that the tree and roof rack don't seem to budge. And it's all capped off with a huge smokey burnout to the sound of V8 rumble and supercharger whine. It's a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. And we'll look forward to next year when maybe Dodge will give Hennessey a Demon to try out. Related Video:
