So, a friend of mine built his dream truck. He had a plan, bought the parts, built the truck. Wiley used the truck about 3 years. He died in an accident July 5. I am selling this for his widow. I do know a lot about it because I helped him with his build. I will answer your questions through ebay messages or you can call me on my cell at 307-534-5561. Here in big wonderful Wyoming (where cows outnumber people- and we like it that way) Im not always in cell service. If you get my voice mail, leave a message and Ill call you back. Wiley bought a 1992 Dodge 350 Dually pickup that was an extended cab, long box. Cummins, of course. He bought a 1985 Dodge 350 crew cab. He used the cab shell and doors only from the 85. The cab was stripped. The dash, wiring, and all mechanical items that mount to the cab are from the 92. So, it is a crew cab, short box dually. No frame modifications. While the cab was off, he swapped the Getrag G360 transmission out for a fresh NV4500. He also swapped the factory Dana 70 out for a Dana 80 rear end from a 2nd gen. He ordered a Bradford Built Stepside bed for it and put a B&W turnover ball in. Then he had a local body shop do the custom paint he wanted. He ordered new polished aluminum wheels. The interior is fancy. He bought two sets of front seats from 05 Dodge pickups. Both sets were re-upholstered with tan leather/ black cloth sides. So the front seats are a set of power seats from the front of an 05 Dodge. The rear seats are also a set of power seats from the front of an 05 Dodge. He hand stitched leather inserts for the front door panels. The cummins engine has been turned up a little. Nothing radical. It got new injectors, mild pump tuning, and an upgraded turbo. It has a Jake Brake and the MPG MAX water methanol injectiom from Snow Performance. There is a 40 gallon polished aluminum auxiliary fuel tank on the bed, in addition to the factory tank.

Dodge Charger Pursuit nets quickest lap in police car test

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

We wouldn't advocate trying to outrun the police, no matter what you're driving and no matter what they are. But if you see a Dodge Charger bearing down on you with blue lights flashing in your rearview mirror, you'd better think twice before attempting to flee, because the Charger Pursuit has once again emerged as the fastest police cruiser out there.
In the latest Police Vehicle Evaluation held by the Michigan State Police at Grattan Raceway, Dodge says its new Charger Pursuit AWD posted a lap time of 1:33.85. That's quicker than any of the other law enforcement vehicles present, but also makes it the quickest all-wheel-drive cruiser available to law-enforcement officials. That may not make it the quickest of all time, but that honor belongs to the rear-drive Dodge Charger Pursuit, which cuts a fraction of a second off its AWD counterpart's time with a 1:33.70. But in regions where the extra traction could come in handy, that's as negligible a difference as we've ever seen.
Of course, the annual PVE sessions held by the Michigan State Police take in to account a wide variety of performance tests, including top speed, acceleration, braking, handling, fuel economy and ergonomics. The MSP has yet to reveal its full findings from its 2014 model year tests, but we'll be sure to bring them to you when they are published.

2013 Dodge Challenger V6 recalled for fire risk, owners asked not to drive

Sun, 17 Mar 2013

Chrysler has issued a recall for the V6 version of the 2013 Dodge Challenger (as pictured above in 2012MY) over the possibility of a wiring harness that could short circuit and lead to a fire. Owners of these V6 Challengers built from November 2012 through January 2013 are being urged to contact dealers immediately and, in the meantime, not to drive their cars or park in or near any buildings.
Chrysler estimates around 2,500 potentially affected Challengers are in owners' hands, while another 1,900 are still sitting on dealer lots. The total number of recalled vehicles is 4,459.
So far, Chrysler says that seven fires have been reported - none resulting in injuries. The company is instructing vehicle owners to contact their dealer to find out if their vehicle is included in the recall, but owners can also find the build date information of their vehicle by checking the label in the driver's door jamb.

Chrysler patents smarter minivan folding seats

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

It's frightening to think of how quickly the mice would have overtaken us if we hadn't stayed one step ahead of them with better mousetraps. We'll never have to worry about that in our relentlessly re-engineered world, though. Case in point: Chrysler has been granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office for an improved design of the already wondrous Stow 'n' Go seating found in the automaker's Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.
Introduced in 2005, the Stow 'n' Go was improved in 2008, and based on the drawings of this third-generation improvement, the new design appears to allow stowage of the second row of seats without having to move the front-row seats forward as much. It look like it also involves fewer operations and moving parts, with a portion of the seatback being incorporated into the flat floor when the seats are stowed, as opposed to having a completely separate cover.
It's possible that the innovation may appear on the next-generation minivans expected in 2015, but Chrysler isn't commenting on the patent.
