I'd like to begin by saying that this is a tribute truck. Named "Never Forgotten", it is a tribute to all the heroes we have lost, featuring custom one-off Billet "POW/MIA" Badges in the front and rear. It's a 2005 Dodge 2500 Quad cab, Short bed, 4x4 with the coveted 5.9 L Cummins Compound-turbo'd diesel engine. This diesel is putting 800 hp to 37's on 22" wheels!!!! It is a show and go truck!!

The exterior has been updated with a 2007 front-end (fenders with Bushwacker pocket flares., bumper, grille, SRT-10 hood from the dealership, all painted to match). It has Recon smoked LED taillights, Black headlights with 8,000k HID's, and 10,000k HID's in the fog lights. All lighting on both inside and outside have been retrofitted to LED's. The truck sits on a 6.5" lift kit with 37x13.50r22 Toyo MT's, on 22x9" XD778 Monster wheels. Keeping the ride comfortable are dual front/single rear and custom dual steering stabilizer kit with Bilstein 5100 series shocks. Keeping the bed rug dry is an OEM Dodge locking hard tonneau cover painted to match.

The interior of the truck has been entirely redone with SRT-10 seats from the dealership (black leather with black suede in middle), 7" Double din DVD/Navigation made by Kenwood, 3 gauge A pillar pod (ISSPRO EV2 factory match Trans temp, EGT temp, and Boost) and above rearview mirror 3 gauge pod (ISSPRO EV2 Factory match Fuel pressure 40#'s (Bottom CP3), Rail pressure, and Fuel Pressure 40#'s(Top CP3)).

Now the good stuff!!!! Under the hood, Air is forced into the engine using Industrial Injection PhatShaft 62/70 with a 12 cm turbine housing on top of a Diesel Power Source S475 Turbo (large turbo 75mm compressor wheel/ 96m turbine wheel, 1.32 A/R Housing), using their S400 (S475) Twin (Compound) Turbo Kit. The air passes through an HTT intercooler and is then forced into the engine through a Glacier Diesel “Power-Flo” Intake manifold.  Fuel is supplied from the tank via an AirDog150 lift pump, into a 1/2" fuel line with a "Y" splitter and 1/2" lines running into each CP3.  It has dual cp3's (ATS dual CP3 kit) forcing fuel into the super rail feed from wicked diesel, and into the engine through Industrial Injection 100hp injectors! The heads are being held onto the engine with ARP headstuds, so you don't have to worry about blowing the gaskets with the 75 lbs of boost that the turbos make!!! Also on the engine is Glacier Diesel “Air-Boss CR”, OEM Fuel Filter Eliminator kit, and preventing the freeze plugs from blowing out, is a coolant by-pass kit from Wicked Diesel. A black ceramic coated MBRP dual exhaust system (No cat or muffler... MBRP muffler is included in sale) routes the exhaust to the rear of the truck and exits through 2, 5" Black ceramic coated exhaust tips. Currently, there is a Smarty S-06 with TNT-R tunes loaded.

Putting all this power to the ground is a built 48re automatic transmission. This transmission was built by Richard at Florida Performance Diesel, using all billet components from DTT, a triple disc torque convertor (1350 Stall) from Diesel Performance Converters, custom valve-body and a Billet Armet HD Input Shaft (capable of holding up to 1000 hp!). This transmission is very stout and will handle anything you can throw at it! Only 7,000 miles on this transmission!!!

I have had some questions about the history of the truck... This truck has never pulled anything competition or otherwise, nor has it been raced (The fact that there are no traction bars and the output shaft is stock should be sufficient proof of this statement). The 800 hp is a guestiment based on the mods that are on the truck and other trucks with similar mods. There is no rust on the undercarriage. No body damage, suspension damage, or mechanical issues. This truck is my daily driver and I drive it 500 miles a week so the mileage will change.

Just a few parts and prices...

*Industrial Injection 62/14 turbo (Phatshaft 62) = $1500

*Diesel Power Source Compound turbo kit with the S475 = $2700

*ATS twin CP3 kit = $2600

*100 hp Injectors and nozzles = $3,000

*HTT Intercooler = $1,500

*Built transmission= $6,185.49 (I have invoice to prove all parts and pictures in ad)

*Complete set SRT10 Ram seats= $3800

*SRT10 Hood = $1,500 plus $500 for paint

*rims and tires= $4,000

*Paint work on painting the 2007 front clip and about= $4500  ($1500 in OEM Dodge parts for the swap)

*Lift kit= $1500

*Close to another $4K in other things through out the truck.

Total= $38,785.49 (In aftermarket alone!)

My loss is your gain!! I feel that my asking price is VERY reasonable. If you are local, feel free to contact me to view in person. No joyrides!

This truck is 100% reliable and ready to go. At the 100,000 mile mark, I changed out the steering gear box, replaced tie rod ends, oil change and transmission service. The truck now has 102,xxx miles on her as of tonight and they will continue to go up as I drive her daily.

Please Note: This is my baby and I treat her as such. I do NOT dog her and I will NOT let someone else do so unless they have money in hand and we are in the final stages of the transaction.

I attempted to link a YouTube sale video that I made tonight, but eBay updated their policy and won't let me... If you would like to see this video, send me a message and I will send you the link.

Coal-rolling Ram dually does tandem beer-shooting burnout with ATV in bed

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Sometimes a video comes around that just makes you shake your head in disbelief. Take for example these guys from Nebraska in their dually diesel flatbed Ram, doing a smoky burnout. Lighting up the tires is nothing new, but these folks take things a step further by having another guy on an ATV in bed that is also smoking the tires. Finally, people are sitting on a couch in the bed taking the whole show in, as beer cans shoot out of the stacks.
There have been several stories recently about the scourge of rolling coal, i.e., diesel trucks modified to lay down a thick, black smoke screen, sometimes for vaguely political reasons. Whatever your opinion is on it, breathing in this much nasty stuff isn't exactly great for your health. Of course, it turns out that burning rubber is pretty awful, too. Both diesel and tire emissions contain cancer-causing Group 1 carcinogens. Combine them with the cigarette smoking here, and these guys are an oncologist's nightmare. Scroll down to take it all in for yourself. Warning, there is a little explicit language.

Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"

2015 Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car burns rubber into SEMA [w/video]

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is showing off a completely redesigned Dodge Charger Funny Car at this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas and it's ready to blow through the NHRA timing lights next year. Initially, the shape might look like any of the other entrants in its class burning through the quarter mile, but this is the first comprehensive rethink for the racecar's aerodynamics since 2006, says Dodge.
Draped in classy red and black Mopar livery, the 2015 Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car tries to share the front and rear styling with its roadgoing counterpart, plus the scallops along the side, but this racer is all about crossing the finish line first.
The major goals for the redesign included making the body stronger and lighter without sacrificing aerodynamics, and that has been done with materials like Kevlar and carbon fiber. However, engineers have accomplished even more. By moving the cockpit further back, they've increased engine clearance and improved driver visibility.
