I purchased this truck two years ago to put a service body on and turn it into a mobile service truck for my business but have decided it is just to nice of a truck to do that. It had 146,000 miles on it when I purchased it and has 156,000 now. I don't need the truck as a regular truck because I own a 2005 Ram 3500, but with that being said, I not going to give the truck away and don't really don't have to sell it.

The original paint is gone on the hood and is starting to go on the doors below the windows. Other than that this truck is in great shape. I haven't found any rust (other than the surface rust on the hood)at all in this truck. I don't know the owner history of this truck but do know that is was purchased new at the local Dodge dealer. This part of Washington State is basically desert with an annual rain fall of 7 to 10" year. Because of this it keeps the rust to a minimum but on the bad side kills the paint from the heat of the sun.

It has a three gauge pod on the dash that has a tach, boost & pyrometer. I was told it is a Banks gauge pod but don't know for sure.

The transmission was rebuilt at 95,000 miles from the previous owner. I put a TEC Ultra Low stall torque convertor and B&M finned aluminum deep pan on the truck. I also put a 4" exhaust system on the truck.

Runs and drives just fine and everything works. PS, A/C, PDL, Power Mirrors, Cruise, Tilt. Has a trailer brake controller, camper tie downs and air bags.

The interior is in very decent shape. The headliner is starting to get the 90's sag towards the back window.

Tires are about 50%.

Roadkill pits every project car against each other

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.

Chrysler recalling 31k SUVs and vans

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

Chrysler is issuing recalls covering roughly 31,700 vehicles worldwide due to two separate problems. In both cases the company believes that most of the affected vehicles are either still on, or in transit to, dealer lots.
One recall covers roughly 10,700 Dodge Durango, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee SRT models from the 2014 model year built between January 16 and April 17, 2014. The SUVs need a software update for the cruise control. It's possible that when the cruise is on and the driver presses on the throttle, the acceleration could last a second after the pedal is released or two seconds for the SRT. Afterward, they return to the speed originally set by the driver.
Chrysler says it isn't aware of any accidents, injuries or even reported incidents of this happening in the real world. Also, in all cases, if the driver presses on the brake, the cruise shuts off. The automaker believes that there are about 6,100 affected SUVs in the US, 950 in Canada, 425 in Mexico and 3,200 outside of North America. The software upgrade will be ready shortly, the company says.

Dodge to resurrect Scat Pack?

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Before social media ever existed, if automotive enthusiasts wanted to be noticed or recognize other fans, they joined a car club. For Dodge muscle car lovers from 1968 through 1971, that group was known as the Scat Pack. Just like the Charger, Challenger and Dart nameplates, it looks like the Scat Pack could be getting a resurrection by Chrysler.
Automotive News is reporting that Chrysler recently renewed its trademark on the Scat Pack name, and while this is in no way a guarantee that the name will return, AN talked to Tim Kuniskis, Dodge President and CEO, who stoked the fire a little more. In the article, Kuniskis said that the name is "a very important part of our history" and added that "we like the whole idea of having a Scat Pack of cars." Scat Pack models were identified by their bumblebee stripes and helmet-wearing bumblebee logo, and the idea of a modern Scat Pack doesn't seem all that outlandish in light of recent vehicles like the Charger SRT Super Bee and the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Concept.
What do you think, is this a cool idea, or is it just an unwelcome bit of nostalgia? Have you say in Comments.
