Looking to sell this perfect condition 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4, 94k miles, with a 5.2 V8 and automatic transmission. Has power windows, locks, etc and everything works.

About three years ago, the truck was completely repainted. There was nothing wrong with the original black paint, just wanted to do matte black. The truck was professionally painted, and was done the correct way. Doors, fenders, hood, bed, etc were taken off, as well as all glass removed. After that was done, had some custom bumpers built for it, Bushwacker fender flares, Recon LED smoked lighting, HID's, as well as a 4" Skyjacker 4-link suspension lift, and 35" Pro Comp Xtreme AT's on 16x10 Pro Comp aluminum wheels. The front bumper has a brand new winch in it that has never been used. There's fog lights with HID's in the front bumper also. The rear bumper has recessed reverse lights in it, as well as hidden exhaust ports. While all this was getting done, LineX (not a cheap knockoff, the actual LineX shop) sprayed the front and rear bumpers, fender flares, bed of the truck, etc. Once all of the exterior of the truck was done, the interior got done with custom black Katzkin leather, removed carpet and did black rubber floor liner, suede headliner, as well as a custom stereo.

Overall, the truck is in perfect condition. Since purchasing it in 2002, the truck has only had around 9,000 miles put on it, due to being overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries. The truck doesn't HAVE to sell, so no need for low ball offers, just tired of it sitting 99% of the time with a cover over it. There was over $15k of work done to it three years ago, and I know that doesn't increase the value of it, but you won't find one in better shape, not abused, and as good looking as this one! Runs and drives perfectly fine. It needs absolutely nothing!!! Clean title in hand. Contact 813-787-9039

Are you the Dodge Dart SRT4?

Tue, 08 Jan 2013

Dodge has just confirmed that it will be bringing its newest Dart variant, the Dart GT, to Detroit next week, but we're still in the dark about when we'll see a truly hotted-up SRT4 version. But now, by way of the rumormill anyway, we've got at least one proposed, potentially Dodge-based rendering to light our way.
Seen here is what would appear to be a design sketch of the SRT4 Dart. Obviously the image that has surfaced is of rather low-resolution, but there's at least some evidence to support that it may be legitimate. In the original picture, one can just make out the name Tim Doyle in the lower right corner. As it turns out, Tim Doyle's name is also watermarked on the final design image for the 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel Black & Tan, a model that was shown at SEMA in 2010.
Of course, even if this really is the work of Doyle, there's nothing to say that this image isn't one of a great many potential looks for the future SRT4. In fact, the departure of the cross-hair grille from the Dodge's nose seems like it could be a hard sell, though we do, naturally, dig the sleek hood scoop and the bulked up wheel/tire combination.

Chrysler killing off the 200 Convertible, Dodge Avenger

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

When Chrysler rolled out the first-generation 200 to replace the Sebring range in 2010, it included replacements for both the sedan and the convertible. The Sebring Coupe, however, was left out of the mix. And now that the second-generation Chrysler 200 is descending upon us, Auburn Hills is paring things down even further. But this time, it's the convertible that reportedly isn't making the cut. Shame, too, since the rendering above shows what could have been quite an attractive droptop.
As our compatriots at Edmunds point out, sales of the convertible model accounted for less than five percent of overall Chrysler 200 sales, and at those numbers, the considerable cost of engineering a new drop-top couldn't be justified. With the Toyota Camry Solara and Volkswagen Eos also gone from the market (well, the VW isn't gone quite yet), the discontinuation of the Chrysler 200 Convertible leaves the affordable convertible segment largely to the sportier likes of the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro and smaller European offerings like the Mini Cooper and VW Beetle.
The Chrysler 200 Convertible isn't the only derivative being left behind with the new model: so too is the Dodge Avenger. That will leave a glaring hole in the Dodge lineup, with nothing to bridge the gap between the compact Dart and the larger Charger. Whether the Dodge brand has any plans to replace the Avenger with another model, not to be based on the 200, remains to be seen.

Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.
