Hello, Thank you for looking at my listing of my 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 4.7L SLT Crew Cab with only 32,000 miles. The truck is in great conditions inside and out, still smells like brand new, ( inside floor is a little bit dirty because a bad snow storm) and the paint is in excellent conditions. GARAGE KEEPT. I bought this truck from an Insurance Auction, with very minor damages (fur in the front, so probably some kind of animal accident) NO FRAME, NO COOLING SYSTEM, NO DRIVETRAIN, NO SOSPENSION DAMAGES, OR AIRBAG DEPLOY. The only parts that were changed was the front bumper and the hood and the left fender. THIS WAS ALL FIXED WITH ORIGINAL AND GENUINE DODGE PARTS (from which I have all the recipes). THE DAMAGE WAS SO MINOR, THAT DMV ISSUED A 'REPAIRED' TITLE RATHER THAN A 'REBUILT'. You can register the truck in any states with no problem. The truck drives straight and tight, and the motor sounds excellent with a smooth transition. The truck has a switch on the fly for 4WD, which means you can engage 4WD just by turning a switch. The tires still have 60-70% left on of tread. KBB and NADA value is around $28K. Asking $21K localy I`m selling the truck because I don`t need it anymore. Dodge Viper recall requires small-handed mechanics
Fri, 25 Apr 2014It has been over a year since Chrysler first announced its recall of 3,660 2003-2004 Dodge Vipers because the airbag could suddenly deploy. The repairs are finally beginning, and it appears to be a nightmare for mechanics.
According to the automaker's filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag control module can fail, which causes the bag or the seatbelt pre-tensioner to deploy without warning. It took over a year to design the new parts, according to The New York Times. However, Chrysler finally has a new "jumper harness with an in-line diode filter circuit" ready to fix the problem.
The dilemma now moves to the mechanics who have to actually install the part. A 47-step guide from Chrysler explains that the procedure should take about two hours. It's not an easy job, though. Most of the dashboard has to be taken apart, and the instructions include this helpful bit of advice: "Installing the jumper harness and filter box into position is not an easy task. Patience, perseverance, and small hands are required." We wish the best of luck to them. The fix comes just in time for the Vipers to enjoy the summer sun.
Chrysler Recalling 870,000 SUVs For Brake Defect
Wed, Apr 2 2014Chrysler is recalling nearly 870,000 SUVs because corrosion may make the vehicles' brakes harder to use. Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from the 2011 through 2014 model years are involved. Chrysler says crimp joints in the brake boosters can corrode if they're exposed to water. If the water freezes, the boosters won't aid braking as they usually do. Chrysler began investigating after some customers said their brakes felt too firm when pressed down. The company knows of one accident, but no injuries, due to the defect. Dealers will install a shield to protect the boosters for free and replace boosters that aren't working properly. Chrysler has since changed the design to make the boosters more corrosion resistant. Chrysler will notify owners of the recall, which involves 867,795 vehicles.
