1973 Dodge D-200 4x2 Adventurer Sport ((((low Mileage Survivor)))) on 2040-cars

Year:1973 Mileage:100005
Location:

Omaha, Nebraska, United States

Omaha, Nebraska, United States

A TRUE survivor. Truck sat in a barn for several years after the original owner stopped driving it. The paint is mostly original, looks like some rust was repaired in the white area of the body. The yellow appears to be original. The interior is overall very good condition. As pictured there is a hole in the floor board where the driver's foot would be near the accelerator pedal. The rest of the floors are appear to be very solid. The under side has the normal corrosion but not bad for a 41 year old truck. All in all the body is nice and straight without any real dents. Of course there are scratches and some of the yellow is thin in places.

These items do not work:  The factory AC is intact but not blowing cold. The gas guage does not work. Please note that this truck has a FACTORY dual gas tank system.

Im not sure of the engine size, it's probably a 360. It starts easily but has a little "Chrysler-itous"  Cold blooded carb that probably needs a carb kit in it. One missing hubcap in the pictures but I DO have it goes with the truck.

All in all this is a pretty nice truck. OK tires but not great, inside of the bed is scratched but not rusted. Glass is good with no cracks possibly a little fogging in the corners. Dash and headliner are excellent. Needs exhaust work she's a little loud. Brakes will stop it ok but a little spongy.

This is going to be a NO RESERVE auction!!  Last bidder standing owns the truck. And PLEASE don't bid unless you have the intentions of actually following through with the transaction. Any questions ANY questions call me before you bid. My phone is on 24/7 so leave no stones unturned. Winning bidder to send a $300. non-refundable deposit 48 hours end of auction using Paypal.  Balance to be paid within 7-days in the form of certified bank funds, bank to bank wire transfer or cash when you pick it up. OK?

The truck COULD be drivable if you're in a 100 mile or so radius. Otherwise plan on trailering it just to be sure. The tires are old and who knows???  Remember...questions???  Call Tom  402-650-3849

NHTSA investigating 110,000 Ram 2500s and 3500s, one death alleged

Fri, 23 May 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation focusing on 110,000 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups from model years 2004 to 2006. One death has already been reported, according to NHTSA, due to a potential fault with the clutch interlocks on manual-transmission versions of the heavy duty pickup.
According to the report, these trucks can be started without depressing the clutch. There have been three reports so far, and as we mentioned above, one very sad incident seems to have resulted in the death of a child.
"One complaint involved an incident that occurred when a child was able to enter the vehicle and start the ignition without depressing the clutch. The vehicle then moved forward striking another child resulting in a fatality," NHTSA said in the investigation bulletin, which you can view below.

Aficionauto drives Vin Diesel's fast and furious 1970 Dodge Charger

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

The Aficionauto host Christopher Rutkowski has a real passion for original and replica cars from movies and television, whether they are from James Bond, Jurassic Park, or incredibly obscure Japanese shows. However, he might have outdone himself this time because he hopped into one of the biggest automotive stars of contemporary cinema. This 1970 Dodge Charger appeared in Fast & Furious and came back in Fast Five, where Paul Walker actually drove it. The menacing, black muscle car will make its return to the franchise in the seventh film, too.
The Fast and Furious Charger is a real beast no matter how you look at it. The interior is nothing more than two seats and a roll cage, and as the video shows, this thing vibrates constantly like a coiled mass of muscle ready to strike. The camera can barely stay in place most of the time. Also, Dom's Dodge is more than happy to do a smoky burnout and leave the driver partially deaf afterward from its wonderful, ear-splitting engine roar.
The Aficionauto also interviews the man who controls the keys to this beast. Bob Hartwig was once an F-15 pilot, but he also loved Hollywood vehicles. Now, he's a partner at Picture Car Warehouse, a company with about 850 cars that supplies vehicles to film studios. This Charger definitely seems to be Hartwig's favorite in the collection, as it should be.

Ron Burgundy calls Durango a 'terrible car,' yet his ads help sales climb by 59% [w/videos]

Fri, 22 Nov 2013

Ron Burgundy was put on this planet to do one thing: to read the news. If that ever falls through, though, the womanizing, scotch-drinking anchorman could have a great career just as a Dodge salesman. Bloomberg points out that sales of the 2014 Dodge Durango have rocketed up 59 percent in the first month of Chrysler's funny new ad campaign (which began in early October). But then again, the entire year has been strong for the big SUV, with year-over-year sales increases in the double and even triple digit percentages - including an increase of 117 percent in August.
Of course, the Durango has also received a wealth of new content and a freshened look for 2014 in addition to the Burgundy campaign, and that has to be helping close sales, too. Whether or not the spots themselves are leading to more sales may be a moot point, since they are definitely getting plenty of attention. Almost two months into the marketing tie-up between Dodge and the movie Anchorman 2, Dodge's YouTube videos have received well over seven million views. More than just YouTube shorts and television commercials, the Durango has even received late-night attention, including when Will Ferrell showed up in character as Ron Burgundy on Conan earlier this week.
In the interview, he calls the Durango a "terrible car" that "cracked in half," a joke that probably had Dodge ad execs squirming uncomfortably in their Barcaloungers. Scroll down to watch the Conan interview as well as some of our favorite Burgundy-pitched Durango ads. And there's still plenty of time to "touch" Ron to win a new Durango.
