Slt 2 Door 2 Wheel Drive on 2040-cars

I bought this truck thinking it would be the last one I ever bought. After an accident last year that left me with my leg broken in four places and a mangled knee I discovered that shifting gears is not as much fun as it used to be. Since I'm pushing 70 and my knee and leg will always give problems I decided to sell my straight shift truck ( my other 3 3500 Dodges are automatic).
This truck has the 325 HP engine, the NV5600 cast iron transmission and the 3:73 locking rear end. In my opinion that is the perfect package for bullet-proof heavy hauling while giving good fuel mileage.
I have put about 25K miles on it while I've had it and most of them were interstate either empty or lightly loaded going to and from my boat and place in North Alabama.
I put a B&W gooseneck-hitch on it to haul my little backhoe. I've only used it a few times but it works great. It turns over and drops in flush when not in use.
The truck has all the popular options that were available for it's year model.
To my knowledge it has never been wrecked but you know how us old farts seem to ding up a vehicle so it has a few dings that don't show up in pictures. Nothing big though. It has lots of power and has never been tampered as far as I can tell. If you need a nice truck to pull a big load and not break the bank here it is.
The topper is nice but I had a mishap and broke the back glass out of it.
I have maintained the truck and taken good care of it. It has had the water pump replaced about four years ago and batteries about two years ago. I had intended to replace the tires next year because they are down to maybe 25 percent or so.
This sale is cash only so come look at it and bring your money. It's ready to go home with you. I also have a goose-neck trailer for sale if you need one. This sale is for the truck only but I can make a package deal. I have a clear title for both of them.
Ask any questions you want and I'll post them on here for everybody.
If you want to see it let me know and I'll send you a phone number and an address

Detroit 3 small cars lay an egg in latest Consumer Reports reliability study

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

Consumer Reports has released its Annual Auto Reliability Survey and the results are, in a word, interesting. While we already covered the score-damaging effects of infotainment systems, there's another big angle to the data that's getting some attention - the utterly dismal scores of the Detroit Three's small car offerings.
The turbocharged Dodge Dart and Chevrolet Cruze, as well as the Ford Fiesta were their respective brands' lowest-scoring models, a stat that's made worse by the fact that the American automakers finished 25th, 21st and 23rd, respectively.
That's not acceptable for The Detroit Free Press' auto critic, Mark Phelan, who has penned a scathing critique of the D3's small car reliability scores, arguing that GM, Ford and Chrysler are "out of excuses."

2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit prepares to keep Hellcats in line

Wed, 13 Aug 2014

Earlier today, Dodge pulled the wraps off its 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat - a 707-horsepower sedan capable of sprinting to 60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 204 mph. Naturally, the car debuted in a bright shade of pull-me-over red, so it was fitting, then, that Dodge also brought its newly updated 2015 Charger Pursuit to keep everything under control.
No, cops won't be able to spec their Charger cruisers with the 707-hp Hellcat engine (oh man, imagine the chase scenes...), but law enforcement officials will be able to choose from either a 3.6-liter V6 or 5.7-liter Hemi V8, producing 292 hp and 370 hp, respectively. V8 models can be ordered with all-wheel drive, and Dodge estimates that with either engine, the Charger Pursuit can achieve up to 26 miles per gallon on the highway (thanks to the V8's four-cylinder mode).
Other updates for 2015 include improved braking power, a seven-inch display in the instrument cluster, a five-inch display in the center stack, and a new vehicle systems interface that could make it easier for police squads to install computer and radio equipment.

Does the future of Fiat-Chrysler include Dodge?

Thu, 13 Jun 2013

Wards Auto reports the future of Dodge is looking uncertain. Fiat has more or less laid out it's game plan for the next few years, and while the Chrysler, Fiat and Jeep lines are set to receive plenty of love, Dodge isn't so lucky. Fiat has already hobbled Dodge significantly by splitting off the brand's trucks into a separate Ram line.
Wards says that after the Avenger rides off into the sunset early next year, Fiat-Chrysler won't replace the model, leaving a gaping midsize hole in the Dodge lineup. The report also cites unnamed sources as saying that at least two other current Dodge products will move to the Chrysler line.
One of those could very well be the Grand Caravan. Chrysler has already made it clear that it plans to trim redundancy between its minivan offerings, but it has yet to clarify which other vehicle could sail under the Chrysler banner moving forward. Either way, such changes to the product line would theoretically leave Dodge with just four models.
