This is GLHS# 582, I have owned the car since early 2008. I have owned the car since 2008, when I purchased it from Georgia. I have put alot of time and money into this car. It runs smooth and is actually very reliable considering its age. I have only needed to replace the battery and the water pump had a slight leak so I also replaced it. The rundown of the car is as follows..... And I almost almost 100% positiveit it has the Mopar Super 60 kit on it.
Exterior:
-Body is is good condition with some minor scratches, dings. The left fender and ground effect piece has slight damage to it. It is NOT perfect but for being almost 25 years old is in very good condition considering its age. There is slight delamenation on the hood(clear coat peeling). the front lower spoiler also has some stone chips in it.
Interior:
-Is in good shape seats are a little dirty/stained with it being light grey it shows everything, but it doesn't seem like anything a good steam cleaning wouldn't take care of. Carpet is not the best, could it be cleaned sure but this rare car I think deserves a new one. trim panels for the most part are in decent shape. Some of the trunk interior is out of the car but I have most of it.
Engine:
- 2.2l 4cyl Turbo. I am not certain on the bottom end if it was ever rebuilt, or if forged internals are in it. Stock they weren't forged but the parts are very common and could have been upgraded. The head also seems to big the "big valve race" head from Mopar, the casting #'s were taken off, and there were specs written in black sharpie on the cam pulley side off the head that have since faded to where you can't read the anymore.
Turbocharger:
-Like i mentioned earlier about the Super 60 kit, I have never had the turbo off but all off the other pieces to the kit are present.
Intercooler:
-Treadstone aluminum thick core front mount with the 90 degree elbows welded on to make intercooler piping easier. 2.5" mandrel bent intercooler piping cut and fit by me, I also custom made a Weapon R intake made for an SRT I also cut and welded that to fit custom on this car as you will see in the pics it looks great fits great and works great. Also has a Synapse blow-off valve on it, which doesn't make it faster but it sounds unbelievably neat when it blows off.
Transmission:
-Stock 525 5 speed
Brakes:
-SLH 3 mod done. All brake parts are brand new from calipers, brake hoses, brake cables, pads, even the brake lines meaning the steel lines from the master cylinder to the calipers are custom bent new pieces. The rotors are custom drilled/slotted zinc plated so they don't rust. If you don't know what the SLH upgrade is you can google it, but it converts the car to 4 wheel disc on all for corners and it means Stops Like Hell.....and believe me it brakes!!
Wheels:
-TSW Vortex 17x8 with custom Gorilla locking lugs. And the TSW Hubcentric kit.
Tires:
-Yokohama S-Drive 225-35 17's which have maybe have 50 miles on them if that.
Suspension:
-Koni Adjustable struts/shocks that are stock on this car. Ground Control coilover kit, which raises or lowers the car.
Exhaust: Stock, but i have the muffler tailpipe cut off because I bought a full 3" Turbos Unleashed mandrel bent exhaust system from the downpipe back (which I haven't installed) and also a Turbos Unleashed custom new style 3" swingvalve which also isn't installed. And a brand new 3" DC muffler.
Fuel:
-Super 60 external fuel pump. Everything else is factory.

8 things you learn while driving a cop car [w/videos]
Tue, Jan 27 2015Let me start off with the obvious: it is absolutely illegal to impersonate a police officer. And now that that's out of the way, I'd just like to say that driving a cop car is really, really cool. Here's the background to this story: Dodge unveiled its redesigned 2015 Charger Pursuit police cruiser, and kindly allowed Autoblog to test it. That meant fellow senior editor Seyth Miersma and I would spend a week with the cop car, and the goal here was to see just how different the behind-the-wheel experience is, from a civilian's point of view. After all, it's not technically a police car – it isn't affiliated with any city, it doesn't say "police" anywhere on it, and it's been fitted with buzzkill-worthy "NOT IN SERVICE" magnets (easily removed for photos, of course). But that meant nothing. As Seyth and I found out after our week of testing, most people can't tell the difference, and the Charger Pursuit commands all the same reactions as any normal cop car would on the road. Here are a few things we noticed during our time as wannabe cops. 1. You Drive In A Bubble On The Highway Forget for a moment that our cruiser was liveried with Dodge markings instead of those of the highway patrol. Ignore the large "NOT IN SERVICE" signs adhered around the car. Something in the lizard brain of just about every licensed driver tells them to hold back when they see any hint of a cop car, or just the silhouette of a light bar on a marked sedan. Hence, when driving on the highway, and especially when one already has some distance from cars forward and aft, a sort of bubble of fear starts to open up around you. Cars just ahead seem very reluctant to pass one another or change lanes much, while those behind wait to move up on you until there's a full herd movement to do so. The effect isn't perfect – which is probably ascribable to the aforementioned giveaways that I'm not really a cop – but it did occur on several occasions during commutes from the office. 2. You Drive In A Pack In The City My commute home from the Autoblog office normally takes anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes, and it's a straight shot down Woodward Avenue from Detroit's north suburbs into the city, where I live. Traffic usually moves at a steady pace, the Michigan-spec "five-over" speed.
FCA's shifter fiasco proves novel gear selectors are a bad idea
Tue, Feb 9 2016What's wrong with PRNDL? Why are automakers trying to overly complicate the simple task of selecting gears? If there's any lesson to learn from the recent news that NHTSA is investigating 853,000 Fiat Chrysler vehicles over its problematic gear selectors, it's that the trend of fancy shifters needs to stop. Now. Last year, NHTSA opened an investigation into Jeep Grand Cherokee models, and has now expanded this probe to include the 2012-14 Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger. The problem? The shifter – assembled by ZF – is confusing for many drivers. "Testing ... indicates that operation of the (electronic) shifter is not intuitive and provides poor tactile and visual feedback to the driver, increasing the potential for unintended gear selection," a NHTSA document states. More than 100 crashes and over a dozen injuries are linked to this problem, according to The Detroit Free Press. To us, the problem isn't just limited to FCA. These unnecessarily novel gear selectors are spreading like wildfire across the industry. Honda and Acura use a weird pushbutton setup. Lincolns have buttons on the dashboard. Jaguar's shifter electronically raises out of the center console. Mercedes uses a stalk with up-for-Reverse, down-for-Drive, push-for-Neutral arrangement. And what the hell is BMW thinking with its M cars? FCA has since abandoned the confusing shifters in question. The 300, Charger, and Grand Cherokee now use the rotary shift dial that's quickly proliferating across the company's brands. Simplistic gear selectors might not be sexy, but no one ever complained about not being able to find the right gear in a Hyundai Sonata. What's most interesting is that this NHTSA investigation could push FCA – and possibly other automakers – to redesign vehicle functions that otherwise operate as designed. Just because most people will never have a problem putting a Dodge Charger in Reverse doesn't mean there isn't a flaw with the design. But perhaps a more simplistic solution – good ol' PRNDL – would have prevented these issues from the start. FCA issues recall for 300k Dodge Chargers over airbag sensor
Sun, Aug 2 2015Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has issued another recall, this time for the Dodge Charger. The issue stems from an overly sensitive control module that could deploy the side-curtain airbag and seatbelt pretensioner if the door is kicked or slammed too hard. The recall affects certain Charger sedans from the 2011-2014 model years, specifically those manufactured between May 6, 2010, and June 5, 2014. All told, that amounts to an estimated 322,078 units, including 284,153 in the United States, another 13,169 in Canada, 2,484 in Mexico, and 22,272 overseas. Owners of those vehicles will be asked to bring their vehicles in to their local dealers to have the Occupant Restraint Control module recalibrated, and are being advised in the meantime to "exercise caution when closing doors." If this issue sounds familiar, that's because the automaker issued a similar recall for Ram trucks just last week, affecting over 667,000 four-door pickups in the United States alone. Following a further investigation into its passenger cars, FCA found a similar problem with the Charger, whose door design mandated specific calibration of the module in question for that model. The company says it is aware of three minor injuries potentially related to the issue, but no accidents. This campaign is just the latest in a string of recall-related issues to have emerged from Auburn Hills recently. The Ram truck recall was issued in tandem with another airbag-related recall for a further million pickups. Prior to that it called in another 1.4 million vehicles to update their infotainment system software due to a security issue. Another 350,000 Dodge Journeys were called in before that to have their engine covers secured. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is expected to issue the company a massive hundred-million-dollar fine for failing to follow proper procedures related to safety and recall issues. Meanwhile, another NHTSA investigation that could have affected 4.7 million units was closed with no further action deemed necessary. And an appeal court judge in Georgia reduced the damages the company will be ordered to pay the family of a child who died in a fire in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Statement: Occupant Restraint Control Module August 1, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is conducting a voluntary safety recall to recalibrate control modules on approximately 284,153 U.S.-market sedans to prevent inadvertent side-curtain air-bag and seatbelt pre-tensioner deployment.
