The car is very solid, originally from Texas.  It is a RUST FREE CAR and is mostly original.  From what I can tell the car has only been painted one time, seats has probably been recovered at some point in time.   It has the Magnum 500 wheels.  Every thing is complete except for rear valance and headliner.   It runs and drives great, all the gaps are perfect and the doors shut like a new car.   It would make a great one to restore.  Was hit in the rear at some point in time, not bad as you can tell in the pictures, however the insurance paid for the car making it a reconstructed title.  Title shows 14,425 miles as well as the instrument cluster.  Not sure how accurate it is... But it wouldn't Shock me if the mileage was true.  It is so solid, and drives with no rattles, etc...From what I was told, car hasn't been driven and has been stored for the last 7 years..

.  Great Barn Find.  Must Sell  No reserve... Bid to win.....  Car is available for inspection.

On Apr-20-14 at 20:22:45 PDT, seller added the following information:

this car is not an RT Charger... It is a charger topper  which came originally with a vinyl top.  top isn't on the car but you can see where it was supposed to go......  it is also missing one piece of chrome for the vinyl top that I forgot to list...The information with 1 of  41 is in GALEN GOVIER'S REGISTRY with the current options...   This one is not registered with Galen Govier's Registry...  car is in need of tires... any other questions feel free to send me a message.  Hopefully this answers most of them...

Marchionne on Alfa's US return, Dodge Dart's powertrain weakness and minivan plans

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

As a reporter covering an auto show, the one opportunity you never want to miss is going to the Sergio Marchionne press briefing.
"This undertaking to bring Alfa back is a one-shot deal... We are not going to do this twice."
There just aren't that many real characters left in the auto industry. Marchionne, who sits atop both Chrysler and Fiat, is not only one of the smartest execs in the business, but also the most frank. Herein, a sample of the quotable always-sweatered executive:

Hero gets his truck back better than new thanks to community support [w/video]

Sun, 29 Jun 2014

You ever hear a story and start cringing before you hear the end because you know how it's going to turn out? That could very well have been the case with the story from a few weeks ago in West Valley City, Utah, where a 14-year-old kid stole his grandfather's Hyundai Veloster and took it for a joyride - through a park full of children. But instead it turned into a heart-warming tale of heroism and a community banding together to do what's right... and then some.
Bryson Rowley was that hero who identified the danger and, rather than sit idly by and watch the joyrider potentially run over a child, got into his truck and drove it into the menacing runaway hatchback. The collision caused some $7,500 to his 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, but instead of getting stuck with the bill - one which his insurance may very well have refused to pay since the crash was, technically speaking, intentional - his community pitched in a helping hand.
Bryan Ellison, who owns West Valley Carstar with his brother, saw the news on television and wanted to help. So he brought Rowley a rental car, picked up his truck and brought it back to his auto repair shop. People from around the community donated parts, and when all was said and done, some $15,000 of work and upgrades were performed on the Ram that was returned to an overwhelmed Bryson Rowley better than new. Watch the video below for the full story.

Detroit's new fleet of donated police cars have safety issues [w/video]

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

In a show of generosity in mid-August, Detroit's business leaders donated $8 million to the Police Department and Fire Department in order to buy 100 new police vehicles and 23 EMS ambulances. But now officers have discovered - and complained - that the police vehicles have glaring safety issues, Deadline Detroit reports. It is not made clear what models of the fleet vehicles - which include police versions of the Ford Taurus, the Chevrolet Caprice and the Dodge Charger - are affected by the safety issues.
Officers reportedly have complained that the Plexiglass partition separating front-seat officers and back-seat prisoners is easily breached, and that the front passenger seat is installed too close to the dashboard. Prisoners who manage to writhe out of their handcuffs can bend the Plexiglass and reach into the cockpit, and sitting too close to the dashboard can render airbags more dangerous and make officers more vulnerable to injury in a crash.
Mark Diaz, president of the Detroit Police Officers Association, received the complaints and reportedly said the vehicles would get safety updates addressing the issues. But Deadline Detroit reports that it checked some of the offending police cars and, as of the last few days, they hadn't been updated.
