Datsun/nissan 300zx, 1984, 69k Orig.miles, 1 Owr. Before Me, All Original on 2040-cars
Tampa, Florida, United States
1984 Nissan 300 ZX with the 5 speed manual and only
69k documented original miles. There was only one owner prior to me and he purchased
the car brand new. The history report
shows zero accidents. The clear Flirida title is in hand and specifies "actual" miles. I’ve been driving the car to work every day
for the last 10 months (20 miles each way) and it runs/drives awesome and needs
nothing mechanically that I know of. I recently did over $2,000 of recent service which includes new tires, new rear shocks, brakes, clutch slave cylinder, belts checked, oil & filter changed and new radiator and thermostat installed. She runs a constant, very cool temperature regardless of speed or driving conditions AND a/c on or off makes zero difference. The a/c was converted to 134B and it blows very cold. This car is very unique to have survived for 30 years and still be totally stock mechanically. No loud tin can mufflers or other after market mods under the hood the kids love to do to these cars. The engine is very strong with no known issues. The cloth interior is also totally original and in excellent condition with no tears. There are no cracks in its original dash. This is a VERY solid daily driver if you choose to use her that way. The car has been garaged its entire life when not being driven. Like most cars, the paint was getting thin as it approached 20 years old so it has had one re-paint from about 10 to 12 years ago. There is no rust on the car. The asking price is $6900 obo. Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster
Tue, 28 Jan 2014A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.
Malaise Era All-Stars
Fri, 17 May 2013A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:

Datsun to unveil second model later this month
Sun, 08 Sep 2013Datsun, Nissan's new sub-brand for emerging markets, has announced plans to unveil its second model. Its first, the Go, was unveiled almost two months ago, and promised affordable, connected motoring for five in a handsome hatchback body. Datsun is following that up with a pair of new models for Indonesia.
The first of these two new vehicles will be shown on September 17 in Jakarta, eschewing the typical auto show debut. It's targeted at so-called "risers," the nickname for a group of highly aspirational customers in the Indonesian market. Datsun developed it locally with help from Nissan, and it'll cost under 100 million Indonesian rupiah (about $8,900 at today's rates).
We'll have the full boatload of information on the newest member of the Datsun family when it debuts on September 17. Scroll on to read the full press release from Datsun.
