This is a Super Rare, Restored Low Vin Series 1 240Z in extremely nice condition. Classic Series 1 Z car has just finished an extensive, high dollar 2 year restoration. This is a very collectible early Z... Z cars with this low vin and these period correct features are extremely rare, especially in this condition. This car was stored for many years and restored to EXCELLENT Driver Quality condition... it is not a concours restoration or museum piece but could easily be taken there and is ready for shows now!! The car looks, runs, feels fantastic and is ready to roll. You just dont find them like this...original with matching numbers... collector quality car with values quickly rising. Excellent weekend cruiser or addition to any collection... daily driver if you like while it increases in value.
Body is laser straight with absolutely no rust or collision damage whatsoever. Fresh restoration on an already excellent original condition car. Show Quality paint in original RARE Datsun 905 Red presents fabulously. Underside is amazingly clean. Seams and rubbers are excellent and the body, trim, moldings etc are well in tact. Correct factory steel wheels with Ultra rare D caps!
Interior is Excellent as well. Seats, Panels, Carpet, and headliner all redone... dash has only a couple of very minor hairline cracks.... Gauges and electronics work properly except the clock (of course)!! Original Am/Fm and power antenna.
Matching numbers L24 Motor has been completely rebuilt... starts, runs, and idles excellent... 4 Speed trans shifts smooth through the gears. Suspension feels tight and handles excellent. Brakes are good... Stops straight and sure. Nice driver.
Overall this is a very rare little classic Z in fantastic restored condition all around... it is well preserved and restored. Awesome weekend cruiser, potential show car, or addition to any collection. I am a Z collector... this is a great one for any Z car enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool, original vintage sports car at a great price.

Malaise Era All-Stars
Fri, 17 May 2013A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:

Datsun previews new budget sedan for Russia [w/video]
Thu, 13 Mar 2014Nobody does cars on the cheap quite like the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The former part of the equation already has its Dacia brand of cost-effective, no-frills vehicles that have become a favorite of Top Gear co-host James May, and last summer, the latter revived its Datsun nameplate for a budget brand of its own.
The reborn Datsun launched in India this past July with its Go hatchback, returned in September with the Go+ minivan and revealed the Redi-Go concept just last month. And now it's given us our first look at an upcoming budget sedan developed specifically for the Russian market.
The as-yet unnamed vehicle (which we'll bet will incorporate the word "go" into its nameplate somehow) is set to debut on April 4, where it will launch the Datsun brand in Russia. Few details are available at this point, but the low-cost sedan was designed in Japan to offer Russian drivers "an engaging driving experience, peace of mind ownership and accessibility at the right and transparent price, with a competitive Total Cost of Ownership."
Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster
Tue, 28 Jan 2014A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.
