1968 Chrysler New Yorker 4 door sedan base model, very solid body with a few dents and some surface rust, a very small amount of spot rust just starting around rear wheel wells. Floorboards and trunk are very solid, has had new carpet put in and the interior is very clean, with some shrinkage to dash pad, too much sunlight. I purchased this car in south central Indiana and as far as I know I am the third owner, the odometer shows just 41,148 miles I used the car as a daily driver for  a few years it started to cost to much to drive and now it sits under the carport collecting dust, the car will need a full tune up and a new battery the one in it will not hold a charge but will take a jump to start the car the car has not been driven in three to four years so I don't really think  it is drivable at this time but when she was going she would really cook  and brought back a lot of fun times and great memories, now there is no time or funds to take care of her and it's time for someone else to enjoy, my son started working on the car for kicks he is 16 now,  took off a lot of trim and sanded a lot of the front ,rear and drivers side down and sprayed it with green krylon paint, we have all of the trim and the skirts are in the trunk, when car sells I will clean out all the stuff that has been put in her while she has been sitting. This car does have it's original 440 engine and 727 automatic transmission, would make a great project or really great parts car, feel free to ask any questions and I will get back to you, and please bear with me I'm new at selling on EBay. This car is being sold as is as seen with no warranty  implied or offered and would like the car picked up within ten days of purchase and down payment of $500.00 by pay pal , remaining  payment due within  five days unless otherwise arranged beforehand, would prefer cashiers check, Thank You.

Chrysler readying Hellcat V8 with Viper-like power

Tue, 21 May 2013

A monstrous supercharged V8 engine could be in store for Chrysler and SRT products, if recent rumors are to be believed. Allpar is reporting that the forced-induction V8 - Chrysler's first, if this goes down - could make its debut this summer.
The story goes that the Hellcat would be based on a 6.2-liter Hemi engine, rather than on the existing 5.7- or 6.4-liter versions of the company's vaunted mill. In any case, the general consensus is that the motor will have gobs of power. Modest estimates call for between 500 to 570 horsepower, with some outliers predicting a figure as high as 600 hp. That figure would put the output would place the Hellcat awfully close to that of the 640-hp V10 in the SRT Viper, too. Allpar contends that a slightly lower powered version would allow Chrysler to keep costs below that of the more powerful Ford Shelby GT500, which might be a sweet spot.
The Hellcat could debut in a number of SRT products. SRT versions of the Charger, Challenger and 300 are all up for grabs, as is the rumored SRT Barracuda.

Fiat seeking $10B in financing to buy Chrysler

Thu, 30 May 2013

As Fiat looks to become the full owner of Chrysler, all it has standing in its way is the retiree trust of the United Auto Workers, which currently holds the remaining 41.5 percent of the company as the result of the Pentastar's bankruptcy deal. The Detroit News is reporting that that Fiat is currently talking to numerous banks in an attempt to raise around $10 billion to fund the purchase of Chrysler's remaining stake with enough left over to refinance the debt of both companies. We've known that Fiat has been working to obtain the capital to buy out Chrysler for some time now, but this is the first time we've seen Fiat tip its hand about how much cash it thinks it will need to close the deal.
The first order of business is a legal dispute over the value of the UAW's stake in Chrysler, which the report indicates could cost Fiat around $3.5 billion. The acquisition of remaining shares could happen by this summer, but it sounds like CEO Sergio Marchionne (above) might not be ready for a full merger until next year.

Chrysler recalls 2013 Ram pickups, 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Wed, 17 Jul 2013

Chrysler's spate of successful products is about to be marred by a trio of recalls. The Pentastar is recalling 51,477 Ram trucks and Jeep SUVs. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there have been no reported accidents, injuries or deaths related to the affected vehicles.
The largest action covers the Ram 1500, which is seeing 45,961 trucks being recalled. Models built between June 26, 2012 and February 5, 2013 are being recalled due to a potential software issue in the electronic stability control. Apparently, the system can be randomly deactivated upon vehicle startup.
Chrysler is also recalling 4,458 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee models. Covering everything but the SRT models, the potentially defective SUVs were built between January 14 and March 20, 2013. This recall focuses on "premium headlights," which means cars equipped with LED running lights. During the switch from the bright daytime running lamp setting to the low-intensity parking light setting, an electrical spike can cause one of the Jeep's computers to go into a safe mode, turning off the LEDs. This violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
