1967 Chrysler Imperial Convertible Very Rare 1 Of 557 on 2040-cars

Year:1967 Mileage:105305
Location:

Franconia, New Hampshire, United States

Franconia, New Hampshire, United States

Chrysler only made 557 Imperial convertibles in 1967.  This is a rare car and quite a stunning deisgn and very attractive with long strong horizontal character lines.  It is powered by a 440 4 bbl and will get up and go if asked, although it is most enjoyable on the boulevard showing off its leather interior with velvet inserts.

Tilt and Telescopic steering, a covered compartment for the radio.  The doors and dashboard are finished in walnut (which needs refinishing).  It is enjoyable to drive this 5,000 pound, 19'6" cruiser and yes, it loves gas too!

This rare convertible has had a new paint job but still needs restoration.  The paint is new and adequate, but not concours level.

There is new carpet, but the interior needs attention - some trim parts missing, some walnut inserts need restoration.  Car runs, top goes up and down, electric windows work.  Needs new top - currently doesn't close all the way.  Tires are fine, all hub caps and trim is there.

This car runs and drives fine but needs a thorough go through - maybe not a restoration, but there are a number of items that need attention, especially in the interior.  All parts are believed to be present.  The mileage is believed to be accurate, but accuracy is unknown.  Needs new battery, probably a brake job.

There are no titles in New Hampshire for cars older than 25 years so you will get a bill of sale only.  eBay makes you put something in the title category, but I do not have a title.

If you're going to do a real restoration on this beauty, you can expect a retail value in the 30's or 40's depending on how much work you do.

I am also selling a package of Imperial Parts concurrently with this car sale which you may find useful in a complete restoration.

I am also selling  low mileage Imperial Coupe if you really want to start a collection.

105,305 Miles on odometer

  • Rust all throughout trunk

  • Brakes need attention

  • Parts included

    • Driver side door trim

    • Spare tire hub cap

    • Arm rest

Fiat to list on New York Stock Exchange?

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Citing the ever-nebulous "two sources close to Fiat," Reuters is reporting that the Italian automaker and owner of the Chrysler brand is likely to list itself on the New York Stock Exchange. The move could reportedly happen as soon as 2015, marking the end, at least in the minds of investors, of Fiat's 115-year base in Turin, Italy.
The Italian government is not likely to react favorably to Fiat's potential move from Italy to the United States, despite initially positive reactions to Fiat's landmark final purchase of Chrysler, the third-largest automaker in the US. Fiat spent $3.65 billion to buy out the 41.46-percent stake in Chrysler that had been owned by the United Auto Workers' VEBA trust fund.
With little sign of a swift European recovery, Fiat has little choice but to focus on markets outside its traditional home, and a listing in New York could potentially be a boon for investors. According to International Strategy and Investment analyst George Galliers, speaking to Reuters, "People [would be] more likely to think of the entity in the same context as they do Ford and GM" if it were listed on the NYSE.

Dodge to resurrect Scat Pack?

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Before social media ever existed, if automotive enthusiasts wanted to be noticed or recognize other fans, they joined a car club. For Dodge muscle car lovers from 1968 through 1971, that group was known as the Scat Pack. Just like the Charger, Challenger and Dart nameplates, it looks like the Scat Pack could be getting a resurrection by Chrysler.
Automotive News is reporting that Chrysler recently renewed its trademark on the Scat Pack name, and while this is in no way a guarantee that the name will return, AN talked to Tim Kuniskis, Dodge President and CEO, who stoked the fire a little more. In the article, Kuniskis said that the name is "a very important part of our history" and added that "we like the whole idea of having a Scat Pack of cars." Scat Pack models were identified by their bumblebee stripes and helmet-wearing bumblebee logo, and the idea of a modern Scat Pack doesn't seem all that outlandish in light of recent vehicles like the Charger SRT Super Bee and the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Concept.
What do you think, is this a cool idea, or is it just an unwelcome bit of nostalgia? Have you say in Comments.

Mopar opening Custom Shop at Cobo

Thu, 09 Jan 2014

While other automakers have been streamlining their brand portfolio, the Chrysler Group has shown no such signs. It's got the Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep brands, plus Fiat, and it recently broke out its SRT and Ram nameplates into their own brands. And you can bet each will have its own presence at the Detroit Auto Show this year. But don't forget Mopar. The company's performance parts division is getting its own display at Cobo this year, and it'll be the largest in the brand's history.
The Mopar Custom Shop is poised to take up 5,500 square-feet of Cobo floor space, further expanding on last year's Mopar Garage. If the image above offers any indication, the show stand will include a Dodge Challenger, SRT Viper, Fiat 500L, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Cherokee, Ram 3500 and what looks like (but isn't identified in the press release below as) a Chrysler 200 (which may be replaced by a 2014 model), all augmented with Mopar parts and accessories.
Visitors will also be able to use pre-programmed iPads to configure Chrysler Group vehicles with a wide range of accessories - a portfolio that grows by 1,500 new parts every year and tops over 100 add-ons for every new vehicle Chrysler launches.
