for sale is a 2006 trailblazer ss lt3 package.  This truck has every available option including factory navigation, heated seats, rear dvd entertainment, dual climate control, steering wheel controls, sunroof etc....you name it it has it.  I just put $1,400 worth of tires on it recently.  I have owned this truck for over 3 years and it has always been in the garage!  Wife is expecting so the toys have to go.  It has just over 47,000 miles on it and I usually only drive it to Pennsylvania and back since I take the bus to work.

There is some small rock/chip damage in front of both rear wheels as you can see from the images but that was due to the crappy roads of nj.  Truck is really clean as seen by the images.  A few light scratches on rear bumper from when the one and only time I took the dog for a ride in the truck!

Only modifications on the truck are :

SS symbol replaced in front grill instead of chevy bowtie, rear taillight and reverse light black outs, tinted windows (got the truck that way)

That is all.  Really clean and a blast to drive.  Car is listed locally so I reserve the right to end auction early.  Priced less than some trucks on here with 2xs the mileage!  Call Bob with questions 347-231-2772.  I have described the car to the best of availability and check my feedback...100%!!

Regarding the VIN # 1gnet13h662332923 when I enter this it doesnt allow me to choose the SS option for the truck.  I have no idea why that is so I entered it in manually.  I just ran the autocheck today and have the report stating a clear autocheck report, no accidents or wrecks, flood etc. I can send and save you the money...just ask!

May entertain a possible partial trade for a sedan that is in good shape....

2015 Chevy Tahoe gets Police Patrol Vehicle treatment

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

That was fast. Mere days after showing a Police Concept based on the 2015 Tahoe at the SEMA Show, Chevrolet has announced that it will build a PPV model based on the SUV to do battle with the Ford Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer) and Dodge Durango Special Service.
You'll recall that the Tahoe has been police staple for several years, predating both the Explorer and Durango police variants, so the fact that the new model would spawn a police variant is hardly surprising. Like the civilian model, the 2015 PPV benefits from a more efficient 5.3-liter, direct-injection V8 that pumps out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It also features more high-strength steel, offering better crash protection, on top of optional safety items like lane departure warning, forward collision alert and a Safety Alert Seat.
The press release is rather light on police-specific items, aside from the auxiliary battery, which keeps the myriad of electronics in a modern police car running even when the engine isn't. Lightbars, 17-inch steel wheels on Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires and a push bar round out the mods for the Tahoe PPV. The cabin features a revised center console and room for laptop and other equipment mounts.

GM profits threatened by glut of pickups

Wed, 05 Dec 2012

Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
