This Tahoe has the "Autoride" suspension option which is described as follows... "it has suspension flex/position sensors at each corner, and measures in realtime the suspension flex of each corner. It then accordingly (many times a second) adjusts the dampening rate of each shock individually to help the vehicle ride better, corner better, and handle brake dive better. A load-leveling function is also incorporated; theres an air compressor that can lift up the back end if its sagging due to a heavy load or trailer with heavy tongue weight. Basically "active" computer controlled real-time suspension control/dampening."

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.
GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices
Mon, 21 Oct 2013The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.
