SELLING MY 1991 3/4 TON 4X4 SUBURBAN. 1 YEAR ONLY MODEL WITH THE 4L80E OVERDRIVE TRANS. TRUCK IS RUST FREE WITH ITS ORIGINAL PAINT STILL ON IT. DENT ON THE PASS SIDE REAR AND A COUPLE OTHER SMALL DINGS. FULLY LOADED. AC NEEDS A CHARGE AS THE COMPRESSOR IS CYCLING ON AND OFF. ALSO HAS REAR AC. MOTOR HAS NO SMOKE AT STARTUP OR ANY OTHER TIME AND RUNS GREAT WITH NO ISSUES. PASSES STRICT CA SMOG WITH NO PROBLEM. TRANS WAS REBUILT ABOUT 30K MILES AGO AND WORKS PERFECT. STEERING, BRAKES ETC ALL WORK WELL AND ARE TIGHT. INTERIOR IS EXCELLENT FOR THE YEAR WITH JUST THE FABRIC WEARING ON THE DRIVER SEAT WITH NO RIPS OR TEARS. HEADLINER DOES NOT SAG AND HAS JUST A COUPLE SMALL HOLES IN THE REAR. Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
