This is my 1995 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 regular cab short bed truck. I bought this truck from my son-in-law which owned it for 10 years prior to me. It was a nice straight well maintained truck but had several miles on it and just needed repairs and updating done to it and I went way overboard with it as you can see. All mechanical work was done at the local Chevrolet dealer. I first had all the suspension gone threw and replaced and all brakes rebuilt, had new shocks put on all around. I had decided to go ahead and replace the engine because of miles and I planned on keeping it forever. I had a new Chevrolet crate engine and transmission put in with new, radiator, all hoses belts and pully's, new battery, starter, water pump, fuel pump, air conditioner, intake manifold, Engine and trans have a 3year - 36000 mile warranty good at any GM dealer. I have driven the truck 1700 miles since new engine was installed. Original dash had some cracks due to sun so I had the whole dash taken out and heater taken apart and cleaned and all new parts installed including the heater core. The dash cluster was replaced by a brand new one but they set the mileage to the original miles. It has a new radio and antenna and all speakers replaced. Heater AC controls in dash are new, Steering wheel new along with the wiper-turn signal arm and switching. All wiper linkage up under cowl replaced with new along with the wiper arms themselves. The body was disassembled and repainted basecoat clearcoat including the door jams etc. All moldings on the truck was replaced with genuine Chevrolet parts, all bumpers, rubber, lights, grill, all side moldings, outside mirrors, tailgate, all outer and inner door handles and linkage was replaced with new. Every piece of weatherstriping replaced. All glass replaced as well as all window motors, switches, tracks in doors etc. The inside of cab was striped out and sound deadening installed. It originally had a bench cloth seat in it. I bought bucket leather seats and door panels and dash pieces out of a nice 2000 Cadillac escalade with woodgrain on dash and console. I had all the heated power both sides seat recovered in original leather. I wired the seats up and have never really been able to tell the seats getting hot but all other power works great. It has a new rear back slider window. New carpet and headliner. It has the floor shift 4X4 but I left the electric 4X4 switches in the Cadillac dash panel for looks. I had the original wheels sent to California and chromed and they look great. Top them off with a new set of Bridgestone 265/75 R16 tires. Basically you have a brand new 1995 pickup here. Its not a perfect show truck but very very nice. The truck drives and rides as new and everything works as it should all the way. Even the remote door locks work great. I had the rear trailer hitch sent off and bead blasted and powder coated black and has new trailer wiring double plug. You would be welcome to come look at in person if you like. Truck is in the Joplin, Missouri area! I would be proud to answer any questions you may have about this truck!  Might consider a nice Honda Element or small suv for partial trade but nothing else. $500.00 at end of auction threw paypal. Any and all shipping to be paid for and arranged by buyer but I will help anyway I can if needed. Good Luck its a very nice truck!!

Top 11 Lego Technic cars to buy on Amazon in 2024

Mon, Jan 22 2024

Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability are subject to change. I recently got a birthday wish list from my 11-year-old nephew, and I couldn't help but smile when I saw “Lego Technic Cars” at the top. Lego isnÂ’t a phase, itÂ’s a lifestyle. Once a Lego fan, always a Lego fan. In fact, IÂ’d be willing to bet that many of you reading this right now have some kind of Lego vehicle in a box somewhere, or better yet, on display in your home. While theyÂ’re not necessarily cheap, getting into building Lego Technic vehicles doesnÂ’t have to bankrupt you, either, unless you go for the $400 Lamborghini right off the bat. Here are 11 of our favorite Lego Technic vehicles on Amazon, right now, ranging from an affordable $35 all the way up to $450. LEGO Technic Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Ages 9+ (544 Pieces) - $39.99 (20% off) One of my first and favorite model cars growing up was a first-gen Ford Mustang GT350, so this GT500 for under $40 is right up my alley. At 544 pieces and made for ages 9 and up, the GT500 is a considerable step up from Grave Digger but a great starter to a Technic collection nonetheless. It isnÂ’t the most accurate-looking vehicle in this list, but the AR app and the fact that it can drive make it a worthwhile purchase. $39.99 at Amazon LEGO Technic Formula E Porsche 99X Electric Ages 9+ (422 Pieces) - $49.99 Not a Ford fan? Not a problem. This Formula E Porsche 99X is the same price and better looking than the GT500. Even though there are 122 fewer pieces in this Porsche set, it has a level of detail seen in much more expensive Technic sets including numerous decals and a pull back motor.  $49.99 at Amazon LEGO Technic Jeep Wrangler Ages 9+ (665 Pieces) - $54.99 This is the set I ended up going with for my nephew, not because I think it is the coolest, but because for the price, I think you get the most bang for your buck. 665 pieces is over 50% more than the comparatively priced Porsche 99X and it also scratches the nostalgia itch for me: The first-ever model vehicle I built was a yellow Jeep Wrangler Sahara. This Wrangler Rubicon has definitely had some aftermarket mods like the front winch, which makes it one of the coolest Technic sets under $60.  $54.99 at Amazon LEGO Technic Monster Jam Grave Digger Ages 7+ (212 Pieces) - $34.16 If ever there was a gateway Lego Technic, this Grave Digger is it.

2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel arrives with 42 mpg for $25,695*

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

The last time General Motors had a diesel passenger car in the US, it was the 1.8-liter 1986 Chevette. At the 2013 Chicago Auto Show today, GM is unveiling the much-anticipated 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel. The compact bows with a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine that boasts 148 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, with full twist coming on at just 2,000 rpm. What's more, the common-rail, direct-injection diesel features an overboost function that allows the engine to deliver up to 280 lb-ft of torque for 10 seconds at a time. Even with 10 more horsepower and 110 more pound-feet of torque than the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder in the Cruze, the 2.0-liter diesel engine can return up to 42 mpg (highway) bolted to its six-speed automatic transmission.
If you're counting, that figure meets the less powerful Cruze Eco with a six-speed manual transmission. More importantly, the auto transmission Cruze Diesel matches its main competition, the Volkswagen Jetta TDI, in highway fuel economy. The Cruze 2.0 TD (as it will be badged) can also handle up to 20 percent biodiesel (B20), whereas the Jetta is rated only for B5. General Motors has not released city fuel economy for its newest diesel, but we do know how much it will cost you to jump behind the driver's seat.
GM will kindly ask for $25,695, plus an $810 destination fee. That marks a $2,115 premium over a loaded Cruze LTZ Auto and $2,640 more than the Jetta TDI, though the MSRP will net you a leather interior, 17-inch alloy wheels and an Aero Performance Package, as well as a two-year maintenance plan and five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty. Compared to the gas-powered Cruze, you also lose a couple cubic feet of rear cargo space thanks to a 17-liter diesel emission fluid tank. That urea fluid, which helps put the clean in clean diesel, will need to be refilled at least every 10,000 miles.

Cadillac Celestiq, Lyriq, Hummer, other future GM electric cars: Here's everything we saw at ‘EV Day’

Wed, Mar 4 2020

WARREN, Mich. — Today, General Motors held an “EV Day” event at its Warren, Michigan, campus to present its new “Ultium” battery technology, modular electric vehicle architecture and soon-to-come electric vehicles. Unfortunately, we were forbidden from bringing cameras into the event, so while we canÂ’t show you what we saw, we can tell you more about it. While we saw the previously teased Cadillac EV (which we now know to be called the Lyriq) and the GMC Hummer pickup teased during the Super Bowl, there were a number of other future cars at the event, which GM President Mark Reuss assured us are all real vehicles in the works. The biggest surprise came at the end of the event, though, in the Cadillac Celestiq electric sedan, which Reuss described as a future flagship that would be hand-built “very locally.” It had been hiding under a dark sheet all morning, with the front and rear illuminated Cadillac emblems shining from underneath. When the wraps came off, we saw a long, white, four-seat fastback sedan. The 23-inch wheels were pushed out to the very corners of the car, giving it what appeared to be a very long wheelbase. The model on the stage had no side mirrors or visible door handles. The grille mirrored that of the Lyriq crossover next to it, with integrated lighting in lieu of the usual mesh or slats youÂ’d see in an internal combustion car. The entire roof, all the way until it tapered to the tail of the vehicle, was tinted glass. In back, vertical tail lighting ran down the C-pillar before turning rearward across the top of the trunk. Inside, everything below the beltline of the windows — essentially all but the headrests and top portion of the steering wheel, was hidden from view. Behind the Celestiq, a large digital display showed a rendering of its interior. The dash consists of a pillar-to-pillar curved LED display serving as both instrument panel and infotainment system. Protruding forward between the front seats was another touchscreen that appeared to house some more controls, with open area, probably for storage, below it. The rear seats had the same sort of touchscreen between them. Built into the back of the front seats were a pair of rear-seat entertainment screens, much like we saw in the Lyriq. The door panels blended wood, metal and animated lighting to give character and a sense of opulence. GM interior design manager Tristan Murphy was on hand to tell us a bit more about the Celestiq.
