2005 Ssr Only 6800 Miles - Still Has Original Plastic On The Driver's Carpet! on 2040-cars
Alexander City, Alabama, United States
Up for bid is my baby, a 2005 SSR. 6775 miles (mileage may be slightly higher if we keep having these 75 degree days). My SSR is in excellent shape and drives like new. As you can see it is red with ebony interior. It is an automatic with A/C and all the usual bells and whistles. The SSR also has the 1SB preferred package which includes; engine cover insert, memory package for seats, factory radio, heated driver and passenger seats, upgraded mirrors, Bose premium sound. Also cargo compartment wood trim, running boards, tow package and custom floor matts.
The truck is completely original except for the radio (original Bose CD radio included in the sale) About 6 months ago I invested over $2000 to add a Kenwood DNN990HD entertainment system. The Kenwood unit not only offers great sound, but it has WIFI internet connectivity, bluetooth (phone and music), HD radio, text message, email, voice control, satellite radio, Pandora, Facebook, and NAVIGATION. So much stuff I couldn't even use it all! I can tell you with confidence the handsfree phone, iPod and Navigation is great. Even with the top down, at reasonable speeds, people can hear you speak. E-bay won't let me add a link so please google DNN990HD and click the Kenwood link to learn more. Please ask questions BEFORE you bid. I'm happy to answer them. Payment within 7 days, please arrange for pick up within 14 days. I'll help any way I can to make the pick up easy for you. Please check my feedback 200+ positive transactions including vehicles. Thank you and happy bidding. Both keys and remotes, original manual and sticker are included. On Mar-02-14 at 17:45:13 PST, seller added the following information: I used the "have one to sell? Sell it yourself" link to create this auction. I just realized that the subtitle says "2005 SSR Only 6800 Miles - Still has original plastic on the driver's carpet!" Please be advised that the e-bay item specifics are correct, it is a 2004 vehicle, not a 2005. |

GM, UAW poaching Nissan workers in Tennessee
Tue, Sep 8 2015General Motors and the United Auto Workers are going on a recruitment drive at the Spring Hill factory in Tennessee, and they're hoping to poach some skilled workers from Nissan's nearby plant in Smyrna, TN. The General and the union even bought a billboard advertising for industrial electricians near the Japanese automaker's facility, according to the Daily News Journal. The reason for the billboard was simple. "GM was short of electricians," said Tim Stannard, the president of the UAW local at Spring Hill, to the Daily News Journal. The factory currently builds the Chevrolet Equinox but has a contract to assemble the next generation of Ecotec engines and the Cadillac XT5, which replaces the SRX. Thanks to the $185-million deal, employment there is expected to double by May 2016, according to Stannard, with roughly 1,800 additional union jobs. Beyond just several billboards, GM has job postings online for the Spring Hill plant looking for workers with specific skills. There has already been some interest in the positions among Nissan employees, Stannard indicated. According to a recent study by the Center for Automotive Research, the average GM worker currently makes $58 an hour, including benefits. Comparatively, Nissan pays an average of $42 an hour with benefits. The General's number could change in the coming weeks because its contract with the UAW is about to expire, and higher wages are among the major negotiating points.
Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.
