2001 CHEVROLET S10 CREW CAB PICKUP,FULLY LOADED IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR AGE AND MILES, WE HAVE OWNED SAID VEHICLE FOR 4 YEARS AND HAVE ONLY PUT 20 K MILES ON IT DURING THAT TIME, IT HAS BEEN KEPT EITHER IN A GARAGE AND/OR CARPORT THE WHOLE TIME, TRANSMISSION WAS OVERHAULED B4 I PURCHASED @ 195K MILES,OUTSIDE OF OIL CHANGES, FULL SET OF GOODYEAR WRANGLER TIRES, BATTERY AND BRAKES THATS ALL THAT HAS BEEN DONE TO IT. IT WAS STATE INSPECTED IN OCT 12 AND OIL CHANGE WAS DONE AND HAS 600 MILES SINCE THEN. WE PURCHASED AN OLDER FULL SIZE PICKUP BECAUSE OF NEEDING A BIGGER BED AND DONT NEED 2 TRUCKS NOW. THE S10 HAS A TRAILER HITCH FOR OUR 4X8 TRAILER FOR THE LAWN MOWER. EVERYTHING IS OPERATIONAL COLD AIR, AND HOT HEAT, AND PUSH BUTTON 4X4 WORKS EXCELLENT. I WOULDNT HESITATE DRIVING HER ANYWHERE, THE ONLY ISSUE IS THE DRIVERS WINDOW WORKS, BUT GOES UP SLOWER THAN THE OTHER 3 WINDOWS, BUT IT STILL WORKS, ITS JUST SLOWER. Thu, 02 May 2013With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches
Thu, 20 Dec 2012General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
