1963 Chevrolet C20 Pickup Base 4.6l on 2040-cars
Granton, Wisconsin, United States
Completely restored 1963 Chevrolet C20 for sale. Complete frame off restoration was done in 1993. The truck is parked in winters and rarely driven in the rain. The color is 93 Ford Probe yellow. Very sharp looking. Engine: The engine is a period correct 283 small block. The engine was completely rebuilt and has edlebrock performer series cam, lifters, intake manifold, and 600cfm carb. The engine was converted to HEI ignition and it runs like clock work. The transmission is a 4 speed. The box floor is top quality oak with 6 coats of marine spar varnish. The finish was sanded down in between every coat to prevent any rough spots in the finish. The strips in between the boards are stainless along with all bolts. It looks incredible and you could literally eat off of it. It is covered with a hinged toneau cover to preserve the floor. The interior has custom bucket seats and the center console can be flipped up to add one more seat. I am listing this for my dad. For being restored over 20 years the truck is still in unbelievable condition. I would rate the restoration quality of this truck at 9/10. He is extremely picky with everything on it and has never cut any corners when working on it. The truck has won hundreds of awards since it the restoration has been finished. There will be no disappointments with it. If there are any questions please contact me and I will answer them to the best of my abilities. Thanks |

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky
Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum
Fri, 02 May 2014Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.
