1957 CHEVROLET CUSTOM CAB PICK UP TRUCK.

WE ARE OFFERING A BEAUTIFUL FRESHLY PAINTED 1957 CHEVROLET.
THIS CHEVROLET HAS HAD ALL THE EXPENSIVE WORK DONE AND COMES WITH ALL THE RIGHT STUFF.

THIS TRUCK WAS A CALIFORNIA TRUCK BUILT IN THE EARLY 1970'S WITH A CAMARO SUBFRAME AND DIFFERENTIAL,WITH TILT WHEEL,CRUISE AND WORKING AIR CONDITIONING WITH OF COURSE THIS TRUCK BEING OPTIONED WITH THE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER " CUSTOM CAB" OPTION WITH THE TRIM AROUND THE UPPER DOORS,WRAPPED AROUND THE CAB AND OVER THE DOOR GLASS.

THIS TRUCK CAME TO MONTANA IN THE EARLY 1990'S AND WAS KEPT DRY AND VERY LIGHTLY DRIVEN UNTIL A YEAR AGO WHEN IT WAS PURCHASED AND STRIPPED DOWN TO BARE METAL AND REPAINTED IN AND OUT.THIS TRUCK HAD AND HAS A SUPER SOLID RUST FREE BODY.THE ONLY RUST IN THIS TRUCK WERE TWO SOFT SPOTS THE SIZE OF A SILVER DOLLAR BEHIND THE FRONT WHEELS.CAB CORNERS,FLOORS AND FENDERS ARE AND WERE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

THE PAINT IS DONE WITH METALLIC ADDED TO REALLY SHOW ITSELF OFF IN THE SUNLIGHT.

ALONG WITH THE BEAUTIFUL PAINT THIS CHEVROLET RECEIVED BRAND NEW 17" WHEELS AND TIRES WITH THE FUEL TANK BEING RELOCATED TO THE REAR,NEW WOOD BED,NEW 3" EXHAUST,NEW FRONT DISC BRAKE ASSB.ALL BEING DONE IN THE LAST 18 MONTHS AND FINISHED LAST NOVEMBER.

THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT NEED TO BE FINISHED ON THIS TRUCK,THE BATTERY BOX NEEDS TO BE FINISHED,THE UNDERDASH A/C CONTROLS AND VENTS ARE SHOWING THEIR YEARS.BUMPERS ARE NOT INCLUDED.

NOW ABOUT THE DRIVEABILITY OF THIS TRUCK: THE 454 WAS REBUILT AROUND 54,000 MILES AGO WITH A MILD CAM THAT SOUNDS GREAT AND STILL IDLES SUPER SMOOTH,NO RATTLES,AND NO SMOKE WITH PLENTY OF POWER BACKED TO A TURBO 400 THAT SHIFTS EXCELLENT.ALL GAUGES WORK EXCEPT THE FUEL GAUGE AND THE SPEEDOMETER WHICH IS SIMPLY A BROKEN CABLE. THE TRUCK RUNS VERY NICE EXCEPT IT TAKES A LOT OF PUMPS TO GET IT STARTED SO THE CARB SHOULD BE REBUILT AND A NEWER CARB DOES COME WITH THE TRUCK AND THIS TRUCK DRIVES VERY VERY NICE WITHOUT WANDERING AND WITH THE AGGRESSIVE STANCE THAT SIMPLY LOOKS GREAT RIDES LIKE A DREAM.

I AM SELLING THIS TRUCK FOR A LONG TIME 25 YEAR FRIEND OF MINE THAT IS WORKING OUT OF STATE FOR 3-5 MONTHS AT A TIME AND DOES'NT GET A LOT OF TIME AT HOME OR THE TRUCK WOULD HAVE BEEN CLEANED UP FOR THE PICTURES.THIS TRUCK HASN'T BEEN CLEANED OR WASHED  SINCE LAST NOVEMBER AFTER IT WAS PAINTED AND PUT BACK TOGETHER AND PUT AWAY FOR THE WINTER.ONLY TAKEN OUT A FEW TIMES THIS SPRING FOR A FEW RIDES.

I HAVE SOLD MANY OLDIES, HOT RODS AND CLASSIC CARS FROM OUR CAR CLUB OVER THE YEARS ON E-BAY INCLUDING SEVERAL OF MY OWN WHICH HAVE SOLD WORLD WIDE WITH EXCELLENT FEEDBACK BY ALL.

CLEAN TITLE IN HAND.

AS ALWAYS TO BE FAIR TO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES THE RESERVE WILL BE KEPT PRIVATE.

I WILL BE TAKING AND ADDING MORE PICTURES IN THE FORTH COMING DAYS AND IF TIME ALLOWS I WILL GET THE TRUCK WASHED TO SHOW THE TRUE BEAUTY OF THIS BEAUTIFUL TRUCK.

HAPPY BIDDING!

GM to invest $150 million in Flint to boost heavy-duty pickup production

Thu, Jun 13 2019

FLINT, Mich. — General Motors President Mark Reuss said on Wednesday that the automaker is investing about $150 million at its Flint Assembly plant in Michigan to boost production of heavy duty trucks by another 40,000 vehicles a year. Reuss announced the investment at the Flint truck assembly plant wearing a United Auto Workers pin. The Detroit automaker had announced back in February it was adding 1,000 jobs in Flint to build a new generation of heavy-duty pickup trucks. GM did not say that the latest investment would add more jobs at the plant, but Reuss said there could be opportunities to add workers as the launch of the automaker's new trucks progresses. GM has been under pressure from President Donald Trump and lawmakers of both parties to add jobs in the United States after it said last November it would idle the Chevy Cruze assembly plant in Lordstown, Ohio, and likewise had no new products for three other U.S. manufacturing plants. The Flint investment will include upgrades to the plant's conveyors and other new tooling, and will be completed in the first half of 2020. GM has invested more than $1.6 billion in the plant since 2013. Last month, GM said it would invest $24 million to increase truck production at its assembly plant in Fort Wayne, Indiana, which makes Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra models. Sales of heavy-duty pickups in the United States have grown to more than 600,000 vehicles a year, up more than 20 percent since 2013, according to industry data. Prices for luxury models can easily top $70,000. GM's Chevrolet and GMC brands have long trailed Ford's F-series heavy duty trucks in the lucrative segment. The new Chevrolet and GMC heavy duty trucks have been re-engineered to tow heavier trailers, and keep pace in what has become an arms race among the Detroit Three automakers to claim superior torque and towing capability. Chevy, GMC have electric pickups coming. Is Cadillac next?

Fri, Jan 7 2022

GMC already has an uber-expensive electric pickup in the Hummer EV. By now you've no doubt seen the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. It's a pickup. It's electric. It looks a little bit like an Avalanche. Hmm. You know what else was a pickup that looked a little bit like an Avalanche? Why, the Cadillac Escalade EXT, of course.  Cadillac Escalade EV-T yes or no?https://t.co/R1AXThRzIG@therealautoblog @Cadillac — Byron "Don't do anything Byron says. Ever" Hurd (@Byron_AB) January 7, 2022 So, hypothetically, if Cadillac were to build an Escalade EXT with an upmarket interior, Super Cruise, a minimum of 300 miles of range, 10,000 pounds of towing capacity, a locking frunk and 5-passenger seating, plus all of the nifty doodads and gadgets we've already seen on the Silverado ... would it sell?  OK, this isn't entirely hypothetical. In fact, I received a survey from Cadillac this morning asking just that. It's an interesting question. And it's one we're putting to you, the readers. So, what say you? Cadillac Escalade EV-T? Yes or no? Related video:
