                                                        1950 Chevrolet Truck

Selling my 50 Chevy pickup truck that has been a California truck all its life from the history I have on it. Truck is a bare bones truck with nothing fancy by any means, has its rattles and noises and is a driver the way it is. Side windows are cracked but roll up and down to keep rain out. Fun little truck that is loud with straight pipes and cruises down the highway fine. I just installed new VDO guages that are mounted but not hooked up. I have the complete kit to do so, but I haven't had time to get to it. Also new carpet has been installed, as well as a new bed floor made from 100 year old barn wood.

2016 Chevy Camaro leaked on CNBC

Fri, May 15 2015

It seemed inevitable. Eventually some outlet would get access to fully uncovered pictures of the sixth-generation 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and let them loose early. Embargoes break. All. The. Time. And for this round, credit goes to CNBC's Squawk Box. The program, according to the GM Inside News forums, had been talking about the new Camaro "all morning," when it dropped a trio of images of the new muscle car. Consider this, then, our first full look at the 2016 Camaro, a car we detailed extensively earlier this morning. In general, the leaked images confirm much of what we discussed in that post regarding the car's looks – an evolved style, with a slim grille up front, a rounded tail, and a very short rear deck. Check out the leaked images, give our Camaro round-up a read, and strap in for tomorrow's big Camaro reveal.

2014 Corvette Stingray meets Tesla Model S in drag strip showdown

Wed, Jan 29 2014

They come from two different worlds and have little in common. The Tesla Model S P85 is the sportiest version of this paradigm-punching sedan from California, while the 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 is a performance-enhanced version of Michigan's recently-updated sports car stalwart. The West Coast car seats five adults and eats electrons like Popeye eats spinach, the Easterner has two passenger places and, surprisingly, sips gasoline like one might bourbon. An attribute they do happen to share is extreme quickness. This similarity is all the excuse Drag Times needed to set the vehicles beside each other at the Palm Beach International Raceway for a bit of mano-a-mano quarter-mile combat. Fortunately enough, cameras were rolling for each of two bouts down the blacktop and the results recorded for our edification and enlightenment. The winner? We won't spoil it for you, but let's just say it's really, really close. How close? Scroll below and watch the video for yourself. Just be warned, the results may surprise you. Chevy Volt, Nissan Leaf go nearly the same all-electric miles a year

Sun, Nov 1 2015

Range anxiety? What range anxiety? The concept is a foreign one to those driving Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-ins, and as a result, that vehicle's all-electric driving miles are actually pretty close to that of the all-electric Nissan Leaf. Such were the findings of a study conducted by the Idaho National Laboratory (INL), which tracked about 8,700 cars during a three-year period, including a bunch of Volts, Leafs and Smart ED electric vehicles. In short, even though the Volt's all-electric range of about 38 miles is less than half that of the Leaf's, the Volts' collective all-electric driving was just six percent lower than the Leaf's (the next-generation Volt will be even more electro-generous, with a 50-mile range). The logic makes sense considering typical US driving habits, in which a vast majority of people commute less than 35 miles a day. Additionally, Volt drivers obviously have no fear of running out of electricity, so they were far more likely to max out on that range than some Leaf drivers. Overall, the average Leaf is driven about 15 percent less than the national average of about 11,300 miles a year for all vehicles, while Volts are driven about eight percent more. Of all those Volt miles, about 81 percent were in all-electric mode. Additionally, Volt drivers recharged about 1.5 times a day, while Leaf drivers recharged about once a day, and about 85 percent of that charging was at home. As for non-home charging, about 20 percent of the vehicles accounted for 75 percent of the station use, so folks are definitely creatures of habit. Check out the INL's 22-page report here for more interesting details.
