This Street Resto-Mod is a custom built 1972 Chevy Nova SS Tribute built by Glory Days Auto Restoration in Vancouver, WA. The restoration was completed 7-1-14 and has about 500 miles on it since rebuild, so all the quirks of a build are dialed in. It's a full sub-frame off restoration. It took 1 year to complete and over 850 hours. There is over $22K in parts alone not including paint/labor that runs $65 per hour (you do the math). The body was stripped down to bare metal and it had very minimal metal/rust issues which is why we selected this car. The body was treated with Epoxy Sealer before bodywork began. The bodywork was completed and primed then blocked 4 times to get the lines perfect. We then applied 3-4 coats of Sherwin Williams Ultra 7000 basecoat and 3 coats of Sherwin Williams 931 Premium Clearcoat. The car was wet-sanded with 1500/2000 grit and polished to a pristine shine. All new chrome, lights/lenses, original wiring great condition, all lights electrical works perfect. No expense was spared on this build as you can see. I have 4 other cars close to sell including a 1972 Bronco, 1971 Nova, 1972 SS Nova, 1967 Camaro, and more builds coming up. See more by liking my page on Facebook “Glory Days Auto Restoration” or visit my website www.glorydaysnw.com. Feel free to ask any questions. I’ve been building cars and early broncos for the last 20 years. You’re getting a lot of car for the money!! Fun car to drive especially with the 4 speed!!! |

GM does not have to turn over its ignition switch documents
Fri, Nov 27 2015In June the lawyer representing plaintiffs suing General Motors over faulty ignition switches accused GM and its firm King & Spalding of working together to cover up the malfunction. Bob Hilliard said that certain communication between GM and King & Spalding from 2010 to 2013, mainly focused on three Chevrolet Cobalt crashes, would reveal that they conspired in "burying what they knew" concerning the defect, and furthermore that the law firm broke rules of professional conduct once it found out about "ongoing fraudulent concealment" at GM. Hilliard filed a motion in a Manhattan court to force GM and King to hand over the memos, which were protected by attorney-client privilege. Hilliard said that the alleged ongoing fraud should trump attorney-client privilege, a GM spokesman said at the time that the issues in question had already been discussed previously, and that plantiffs already had much of the communication Hilliard's motion sought. US District Judge Jesse Furman ruled in favor of GM and King, refusing to order the release of the communication. In spite of finding probable cause that GM was engaging in a crime or fraud by not revealing the ignition switch defect, Furman did not find cause to believe that GM and King's discussions at the time were centered around continuing that potential crime or fraud. Saying also that plantiffs already had many of the disputed documents, attorney-client privilege should hold sway over the remainder. The class action case goes to trial in January 2016.
Corvette Z06. Nissan GT-R Nismo. Motor Trend Head 2 Head. 'Nuff said.
Wed, Feb 11 2015Here is a video we've been waiting for, one that will get broadband fiber optic cables glowing like Hooker headers on a dyno. For Episode 62 of Head 2 Head, Motor Trend throws the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 into the bear pit with the latest Nissan GT-R Nismo. What comes out of that is seventeen minutes of don't-look-away video. We're only going to give you the specs. The 3,527-pound Z06 gets on with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 650 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque, applied to the wheels via a seven-speed manual transmission. With the Z07 performance package appended it has a front splitter and winglets, and a three-section rear spoiler among its aero aids. The tested model also wore carbon ceramic brakes, which helped push its $89,985 MSRP out to $105,210. The 3,881-pound GT-R Nismo plays the underdog – again – with a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 spitting out 600 hp and 481 lb-ft, yoked to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The GT-R left its 'performance bargain' days behind years ago, and this top-shelf version starts at $151,585 but has almost everything it can get, so the as-tested price was only a skosh more at $151,880. We're not going to tell you any more than that. Click on the video and let Carlos Lago and his two mean minions tell you a story you won't soon forget. 2022 Genesis GV70, raging at VW ID.4 tech and thoughts on a new Lexus LFA | Autoblog Podcast #696
Fri, Sep 17 2021In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor James Riswick. This week, they talk about driving the Genesis GV70, VW ID.4 and VW Taos. They talk about ways Chevy could "fix" the Camaro. James ranked all the James Bond films based solely on their starring cars. Next, they reach in the mailbag and discuss the question, "Do you think Lexus will make a successor to the LFA and, if so, what do you guys think it would be like?" After ruminating on that query, they dip into the mailbag a second time to recommend a sporty crossover to a listener in this week's Spend My Money segment.
