Saugerties, New York, United States
This is it folks! This is the Nova you have been waiting for!
Full blown race car in street appearing trim!!! You want one Black? This baby
is Jet Black!!! You want it fast? This sucker is real world fast! You want HP??
This one has a dyno sheet to PROVE it! Bullet proof? Yes! Consistent?
Absolutely! Clean? Oh, Hell yeah!!! Rock solid!! Yes, yes, yes,and yes!!!!!! For your viewing and purchasing pleasure, I offer up for
grabs my own personally owned 1971 Chevy Nova SS. Now, before you go off half
cocked slamming down on that bid button, PLEASE, take time to read the
detailed description and view the pics and as always, ASK QUESTIONS!!!
Exterior: This is an original black on black car. While the
paint is not original, it is in excellent condition and shines like a new penny! All
trim, bumpers, surrounds, etc. are in excellent condition and all are present and
accounted for.
Car sports the original 1/4's, floors, trunk pan, rockers,
etc. and all are in rock solid condition. Doors are perfect and solid, truck lid
is as well, and hood is 4" cowl fiberglass which is hinged and latched as
original! All the glass is clean and operates as it should. As shown in the
pictures, there is one small pock mark on drivers fender just slightly smaller
than a penny. There is also a small "dig" taken out of the corner of the hood (as pictured) Additionally, there are some small blemishes on the roof that have
been there for years and do NOT detract from the looks of this car at all!!! I
just like the idea of full disclosure and nobody like surprises!
Interior: Right now the car is sporting a single fiber race
seat with up to date harness. Included with the car are the original front seats
which are shown in one picture. The original SS floor shifter is also included
with the car but has been swapped out for a race legal lock out shifter.
Otherwise, the interior is spotless and in original condition including back
seat, door panels, carpet, headliner, etc. etc. The rear bar is "pinned so it can be removed for easy rear seat access,
but still legal for drag racing. The spring loaded front bars also add to both
ease of use, comfort, and safety! Added gauges include Fuel pressure, engine
temp. oil pressure, volts, tach, and Air fuel ratio. All fresh wiring for switch
panel etc. with original wiring etc. carefully tucked away in car if full street
trim is ever desired! Currently, all lights etc. work and car is registered and
tagged!
Mechanical: This is where the rubber meets the road, so to
speak, and separates this girl from the rest of the pack!
Engine: Motown 400 small block Std. bore, std stroke. All
bullet proof components incuding crower, callies, Diamond, etc. etc. Jesel belt drive
system and shaft rocker setup. WeldTech Brodix CNC heads, Huggins custom ground
solid roller cam, big tube headers, custom built Pro Systems Dominator, MSD
Ignition, Vacuum pump system, and the list goes on and on. Engine has been "real
world" dynoed at 633 HP at a conservative 6800 rpms. Current setup has less than
50 runs on it. Dyno sheet and a deep pile of reciepts will go to the winning bidder.
Engine is backed by an ATI reverse pattern race transmission
with trans brake and matched 4200 stall converter. Fresh Denny's drive shaft,
and a fab 9 rear end Currently running 4.56 gears. All this adds up to a very
consistant 10.30 car in the 1/4 mile! At one of my last track visits the car ran
6 passes back to back at 10.31! That my friend, is how you win races!!!
Front suspension is rock solid and has Qa1 adjustable coil
overs. Rear is a ladder bar set up with adjustable Coil overs as well. Entire
rear suspension was "reset" last season including pinion angle, IC, etc.
Car has factory disk brakes in the front and Wilwood disk in
the rear. Wheel were installed new last season with 29x9x15 slicks on the rear.
Rear wheel wells are unmolested and car easily accept a 275/60/15 drag radial
etc. There is a lot to talk about on this car but It's tough to include it on here. Thats why I have included my cell number below. Please, take the time to read the description, view the pics, THEN ask anything you like if you are a serious buyer. Those of us that buy and sell on Ebay take this format very seriously and we appreciate the time and effort it takes to both post and or follow an auction. PLEASE respect that fact. Additionally, if you are not comfortable with this format of purchasing a car please come and view this car in person! I try to give a realistic descript of my car and include multilple pics, however, just like internet dating, Everything looks better in pictures! This car is available for viewing anytime this auction is running. I welcome AND encourage you to come see it in person before bidding. Additonally, IF YOU HAVE 10 OR LESS FEEDBACK RATING OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK PLEASE DROP ME A NOTE BEFORE BIDDING. As aways, if you are the high bidder at autcions end, you bought yourself a real nice car, NOT right at first refusal. $500 Paypal NON REFUNDABLE deposit due at close of auction. Thanks, and that is all!!!! Jeff 845-594-8559 |

Next Chevy Volt will be 2016 model and ride on new chassis
Fri, Mar 7 2014What do we know about the 2016 Chevy Volt? Well, for now, all we can do is try to put the puzzle together without the box. Thankfully, a new batch of pieces has arrived from a new report in Edmunds, which says that the 2016 model year will introduce the second generation of a car that hasn't been dramatically updated since it went on sale in 2010. The new Volt is getting an "evolutionary styling change" and will ride on a new front-drive platform that has been developed by General Motors. GM's Kevin Kelly told AutoblogGreen that he has "no comment on future products," but he did acknowledge that Chevrolet is working on a second-generation Volt, "but I can't say anything about timing." Everybody already knew that a next-gen Volt is coming, so that's not a surprise. What we don't know is any real concrete information on the car itself. The few tidbits of information we do have help define the outlines of the next version of Chevy's halo car, but they're not confirmed yet. For the record, they range from the eye-raising (a $10,000 price drop) to the logical (20 percent more electric range). We can't see the whole picture yet, but the pieces do point to the 2016 Volt, which would be released next year sometime, being a much bigger deal than the last update, when the Volt's range was increased by three electric miles thanks to a battery capacity increase of 16 kWh to 16.5.
AMC Trans Am Javelin SST, an ultra-rare underdog, is up for auction
Sat, Sep 9 2023Among the rarest of the American muscle cars that went racing in the early Seventies — cars including the Camaro Z/28 and the Boss 302 Mustang — the 1970 AMC Trans Am Javelin SST may be the most hard to find, and among the most valuable. Only 100 units of this unique Javelin were produced, and one of them is up for auction at the Mecum event in Dallas on September 20. The Trans Am Javelin was fashioned in a patriotic livery of tricolor paint — red, white and blue — and arrived after the American Motors Corporation had decided in 1968 to compete in the Trans Am racing series against Ford and General Motors. The company's chief driver, Mark Donohue, would dominate the 1971 season, taking seven wins in his Javelin AMX and that yearÂ’s SCCA Trans-Am Championship. AMC took the trophy with 82 points, well ahead of Ford's 61, Chevrolet's 17 and Pontiac's paltry 7. The example listed for auction came equipped with a 390-cubic-inch V-8 engine with 325 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 420 pound-feet of torque, power steering and brakes, dual exhaust, BorgWarner four-speed manual transmission and Hurst competition shifter. Its “ram induction system” sealed a chamber around the air filter so that cool air from the functional hood scoop would be funneled into the intake. This JavÂ’s factory price was $3,995 — a mere $32,000 or so in today's money, though it was expensive by the standards of the time. The 100 Trans Ams were among 19,714 Javelin units built in 1970, so they started out rare, and today the surviving examples are highly collectible, if and when they come up for sale. No bid estimate is available yet. Related Video: Motorsports Chevrolet Ford Pontiac Auctions Automotive History Racing Vehicles Classics
