1971 Chevrolet Nova has a Pro-Built and modified 454 Big Block engine with headers. Chrome valve covers, Edlebrock manifold and carb, Clevite cam, roller rockers,flat top pistons, etc.Custom built 4 core radiator. Engine has approximately 2,000 miles, never raced. Pro-Built power glide transmission with extra clutches and a 3,000 RPM stall and shift kit. Rear end is an Auburn with 3:73 gears. Newly installed sub-frame connectors and all new sub frame bushings. New A-Frame bushings and new coil springs and shocks. This car was purchased in California 20 years ago and was originally a 6 cyl car with power glide.It has been in my family the past 14 years and has been stored much of the time. It has been driven only about 2,000 miles in the past 14 years.Floors and trunk rust free and very solid.The chrome trim and moldings have been removed as we were going to do minor body work and paint the car. I have all moldings and trim. A new windshield has just been installed.SS emblems in grill and trunk. SS black steering wheel. Hood has original SS chrome intake Rally wheel caps and trim..Car runs great and is extremely fast. This is a great project for someone who is handy with paint and body work. I am 75 years old and do not have the time, place or resources to complete the car. It has a clear Arizona title that shows original miles and no damage.Currently licensed in Arizona. I have all the receipts. There is over $5,000 in the engine and another in $2,000 in the transmission and rear end. I have spent $2500 in the past 2 months on suspension, etc.

Chevy recalls 73k Cobalts for side airbag non-deployment

Chevrolet is recalling 73,424 examples of the 2010 Cobalt in the US and Canada because the driver's side curtain airbag might not deploy in a crash. These vehicles carry build dates between January 4 and June 23, 2010, and, specifically, 59,474 of them are in the US. "GM is aware of one crash with one injury that may be related to this condition," the company said in a statement. The problem occurs because of improper routing of the side-impact sensor wiring harness in the driver's door, and there can be a short circuit causing the curtain airbag not to deploy. The campaign to fix the issue will begin on August 26. Dealers will inspect the vehicles and will repair the issue on any affected examples. The affected vehicles may be equipped with an improperly routed Side-Impact Sensor (SIS) wiring harness in the driver side front door. The misrouted wiring harness could cause an electrical short that disables the driver side curtain air bag. CONSEQUENCE: A disabled driver side roof-rail air bag will not deploy in the event of a crash necessitating deployment of that air bag, increasing the risk of injury to the driver. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the sensor's wiring in the driver's door and make repairs as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 26, 2015. Subprime financing on the rise in new car sales, leasing too

We all remember the financial crisis that began several years back. At its core was a splurge of subprime lending for housing loans. The housing bubble burst, triggering a collapse of the mortgage-backed securities market. Apparently, those types of loans still exist in the automotive industry, and the market share for these types of "nonprime, subprime, and deep subprime," loans has grown 13.6 percent compared to the third quarter a year ago.
According to an Automotive News report, high-risk lending expanded to 24.8 percent of total loans in Q3, up from 21.9 percent for this time last year. As this level increased, average credit scores of borrowers dropped to 755, down from 763 a year ago. In that time, the average financing amount increased $90 per vehicle, to $25,963.
At 818, Volvo maintains the highest per-owner credit score, while Mitsubishi has the lowest, at 694. The highest rate of borrowers was at Toyota, with 14 percent of the market, followed by Ford with 13.1 percent and Chevrolet at 11.1.

In our exclusive clip, Tom Ford, Antron Brown and William Fichtner run their $7,000 sports cars in a drag race. As expected, the trio chose very different cars for the challenge. Brown and Fichtner also spend some time relaxing with an old Jeep Wagoneer. Like them, we're really hoping Jeep will bring back the Wagoneer nameplate.
