Real Nice Straight Rust Free Nova, True SS car.  Beautiful RED on RED.  Built with all the right stuff, perfect stance and look.  Almost all new sheet metal.  Stretched rear quarters and mini tubbed.  Lots of time and money spent on this car.  It was built to look like it just came from the strip but can be easily made streetable.  A lot of detail was put into this car.  Powered by a very responsive 355 small block with roller rockers, big cam, fender wall headers (open) TH 400 Tranny and 3000  Stall converter. 456 Posi track 12 Bolt rear end.  All Chromolly cage system, Smith Racecraft Front Chassis clip.

Chromolly adjustable front struts, 4 wheel Aero Space Disc Brakes.  New front fenders, rear fenders stretched, new door skins, new front bumper, new Rear bumper, new grill, fiberglass cowl hood, Tri bar lights, Caltrac Suspension, QA1 rear shocks, beaded firewall, mono leaf springs with Afco sliders.  10 gallon polished fuel cell, braided gas lines, all braided brake lines.  Wilwood master cylinder mounted under dash. 6 panel painless fuse box.  Aluminun radiator, holley fuel pump and regulator.  Kerkey seats with cushions, B&M Ratchet shifter, Autometer silver faced Tac and Dash Guages.Trunk shocks, hood hinges and latches all powder coated.  Door Panels, headliner, Door Handles, inside and ouside, door locks, Weld Wheels M/T front tires 260x4/15/15, Rear street slicks 315/60R/15 Custom built Rear Wing and New tail lights. I'm sure I missed something so I'm including lots of pictures.  This would make a great father and son project due to the fact that there is not an endless amount of work to be done, or a ton of money to be spent to complete.  Mileage is unknown but ebay makes you put down something or the ad won't go.   Whole car is rebuilt anyhow so it is a non issue to begin with.  Have seen
cars similar to this one for $43,000.00 and up.  This is a bargain.

This car looks awesome and is very nice but not perfect.  It still needs to be tweaked here and there to be finished but no one could have gotten this far for the asking price, It needs an exhaust system if you are going to run it on the street. I would recommend replacing the Carburetor.  Lights and blinkers need to be wired, Battery Boxes need to be secured and mounted, suspension needs to be aligned. Drive Shaft needs to be lengthened 2 " due to stretching the rear fenders but   As I said you couldn't come close to building this car for the money.  I am exspecting a mechanically inclined buyer who can see what he's got and how little he needs to do.  Car has not been driven since build except in parking lot and to run the engine.  No test drives, car is not registered yet.

No texting or endless emails.  You can email of course but keep it within reason.   I will not consider you to be a serious buyer unless contacted by phone. You can ask as many questions as you like and I will answer as best I can,  No warranty is expressed or implied.  I have done my best to be honest and forthright.  Please no tirekickers, wanna bes, etc.

A $500 non-refundable paypal deposit required to stop ad.  Balance in 7 days.  Car will not leave until then. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements,  Will hold for reasonable amount of time.  Ebay associated financing available, payments as low as  $390.00

Chevy, Kid Rock in Confederate flag row with civil rights group

Mon, Jul 13 2015

Two of Detroit's own are ensnared in controversy today. In an interview with Fox News' Megyn Kelly, mulleted musician Kid Rock told those protesting the Confederate Battle Flag to "kiss my ass." Now, Chevrolet, which is sponsoring Rock's summer concert tour, is under fire for its support. "We are committed to our sponsorship of Kid Rock's summer tour and are confident that he will provide his fans, many of whom are proud Chevrolet owners, with a spectacular concert experience that celebrates American Freedom," a Chevy spokesperson told The Detroit Free Press last week. The company also uses the Kid Rock anthem Born Free in its pickup truck advertising. The company's position is not sitting well with the Detroit chapter of the National Action Network, though, which has called on GM to pull its support for the embattled artist. "It's obvious to us that, by supporting [Rock], while he's making inflammatory statements, General Motors becomes an accomplice if they allow him their support to stand behind his statements," the Rev. Charles Williams II, NAN's Detroit chapter director, told the Freep. As controversial as Rock's comments are, it's not entirely clear when the last time he actually waved that flag was. The Freep reports that several concertgoers don't recall seeing the flag during his most recent tour, or even over the last few years of concerts. In a 2002 interview with the paper, Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, said that the flag had been used as a symbol of southern rock and a rebel spirit, saying: "It's not about hatred or being a racist. I like Southern rock music, and a lot of people died under that flag for beliefs they had, right or wrong. But it stands for rebel, and my love of Southern rock." Related Video:

Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Detroit Auto Show [w/poll]

Wed, Jan 14 2015

Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. To that end, borrowing the words of an unnamed automaker PR flack, we'd like to thank the following automakers for enduring "mountain of antacids" and that "creeping sense of paranoia" necessary to keeping ones' wares totally under wraps until the sheets are pulled off the sheetmetal: Buick Avenir concept Chevrolet Bolt concept Ford GT concept Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Hyundai HCD-15 Santa Cruz concept And while we're at it, we'd like to throw in an shout-out to Detroit's substantially revised and revitalized Cobo Center, and in particular, the redone Michelin media center, which is arguably the single best accommodations for writing show stories that we've encountered on the entire international circuit. Well done, everyone. Thank you, and keep the surprises coming. Auto News Detroit Auto Show Buick Chevrolet Ford Hyundai Volvo 2015 Detroit Auto Show

Hillary Clinton takes to campaign trail in a van called Scooby

Wed, Apr 15 2015

It still seems way too early to even starting thinking about the 2016 presidential election, but candidates are already throwing their hats in the ring. Among the officially announced hopefuls so far is former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. To kick off her run for office, she recently embarked on a long-distance road trip from her home in New York to the campaign battleground of Iowa. Rather than a limo, she was driven there in a conversion van (pictured above) that Clinton named Scooby after Hanna-Barbera's famous, mystery-solving dog. According to Yahoo Autos, the vehicle itself is a Chevrolet Express that has been customized by the Explorer Van Company, and Time says that it's also armored. Clinton isn't behind the wheel, though. All those years in public office mean that the Secret Service does the driving. Of course, the vehicle in Scooby Doo was named the Mystery Machine, and Scooby was mostly brown, not black. To explain the somewhat odd naming, Clinton traveled around in a brown van during her 2000 Senate campaign in New York, and it earned the nickname Scooby, according to Time. Apparently, the moniker has stuck for her latest ride. If the start of the Clinton campaign seems early, she isn't the first White House hopeful to arrive in Iowa this year. A bunch of possible Republican candidates already met at summits in the state at least twice to gain favor ahead of the caucus there. No word on what they were driving...
