The car has a new catalytic converter,ac condenser,4 wheel bearing hubs that were just put in,4 slotted/drilled rotors,new brakes,the valve cover gaskets were just replaced,roof top spoiler,graphics,pin striped,goodyear eagle nascar tires in great shape.very clean engine ,burns no oil,plenty of power,garaged kept,ground effects,carpet in great condition and just had the system flushed last week.As you can see,this car is in mint condition.The decals can be removed so not a big deal,just a very cool looking car and I have won trophy's at car shows with it.No rips or tears in inside at all.If interested just email me with your phone number and i'll answer any questions.This car has only had 2 owners,no accidents and always garaged kept.Hardly a mark on it.Very smooth driving,non smoker and oil changed all the time.I'm only selling this because I bought a new car.This car gets looks from everyone,a real head turner.The pin stripe is painted.Look at the details in the graphics and the cleanliness of the car,engine too.You can come and text drive it if you want.I also put in a new remote window switch in the drivers side just the other day.Great price for such a beautiful car.If you are familiar with the chevy 3.8 they go about 300 ks if the oil was changed,great engines.Please don't ask me to trade cars,i'm not interested.If you have never been in this type monte carlo than you owe it to yourself to drive one.The car's design with air flowing over it lets you ride smooth and a big truck can pass you and you won't feel the air pushing the car around.I have this car for sale locally so I can cancel this add anytime..There also good in snow,rain.We have another 03 and my wife drives it to work 90 miles everyday in any weather and has done it since 03.These cars get anywhere from 25- 30 mpg.I seriously don't think your going to find a car in this shape and condition for this money.Some asked if this was brand new.The fire ext. has been taken out. Chevy Bolt meets 2016 Nissan Leaf at LA NEDW event [UPDATE]
Mon, Sep 14 2015The 2015 National Drive Electric Week kicked off this past weekend with events happening all around the world. Our friends from Plug In America (PIA) send us some notes and pictures from one of the larger events in Los Angeles, CA. This event was special because it saw the debut of the 2016 Nissan Leaf and the west coast debut of the Chevy Bolt concept. The two electric vehicles were in the same place at the same time for the first time ever. Besides that little bit of electric vehicle history, the organizers helped facilitate 800 test drives, PIA co-founder Zan Dubin Scott told AutoblogGreen. The city of Los Angeles also gave proclamations to movie director Chris Paine (Who Killed The Electric Car? and Revenge Of The Electric Car) and the three national organizers of Drive Electric Week: PIA, the Sierra Club and the Electric Auto Association. Speakers at the event included names that should be familiar to AutoblogGreen readers: California state senator Kevin de Leon, race car driver Leilani Munter, and Dave Barthmuss of General Motors, among others. Joel Levin, the executive director of Plug In America, said during his speech that, "Electric cars are changing the world. Every time one of these vehicles gets sold, our air gets a little cleaner. We will take a big bite out of climate change. Our economy will not be subject to wild swings in gas prices. And we will not be involved in foreign wars over oil." Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]
Sun, 03 Feb 2013The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22.
