For sale is a 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. This is a true SS car with 52k original miles. This car is in excellent condition inside and out. It features a strong running 305 V8 with automatic transmission, front disc brakes, and dual exhaust. This car is very solid, straight, and completely rust free. The interior is in immaculate/like new condition, with the only flaw being a missing steering wheel horn cap. Seats have NO tears, dash is free of cracks, and the headliner looks like new. Body of the car is excellent as well. Paint is all original. The only flaw in the body would be about 3 small door dings on the passenger side. Wheels are in excellent condition and tires are like new. Everything on this car is in original condition. Even the belts and hoses appear to be original. It should be noted that the Carfax shows an error in the mileage listing. At one point the mileage appeared to have been recorded as 55k, and later viewed back at 52k. The Carfax report shows that it appears to be a clerical error at one point, as aside from that, the rest of the mileage recordings are accurate. This car is truly a rare find in this original condition. It runs and drives like a brand new car!! You must see it in person to appreciate it!! Please contact me if you have any questions, or would like to come look at and drive this car!! Thanks for looking!!

Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Detroit Auto Show [w/poll]
Wed, Jan 14 2015Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. To that end, borrowing the words of an unnamed automaker PR flack, we'd like to thank the following automakers for enduring "mountain of antacids" and that "creeping sense of paranoia" necessary to keeping ones' wares totally under wraps until the sheets are pulled off the sheetmetal: Buick Avenir concept Chevrolet Bolt concept Ford GT concept Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Hyundai HCD-15 Santa Cruz concept And while we're at it, we'd like to throw in an shout-out to Detroit's substantially revised and revitalized Cobo Center, and in particular, the redone Michelin media center, which is arguably the single best accommodations for writing show stories that we've encountered on the entire international circuit. Well done, everyone. Thank you, and keep the surprises coming. Auto News Detroit Auto Show Buick Chevrolet Ford Hyundai Volvo 2015 Detroit Auto Show
2016 Lamborghini Huracan at the Horse Thief Mile | AutoblogVR
Tue, Sep 13 2016AutoblogVR returns to the Horse Thief Mile in the Mojave Desert to put the Lamborghini Huracan to the test. It's everything we want a modern supercar to be: Powerful, striking in appearance, and a riot to drive. But does it live up to Lamborghini's unique performance heritage? Senior Editor Greg Migliore reviews the Huracan on Horse Thief's unyielding curves and elevation changes to find out. Meanwhile, Autoblog Editor-in-Chief Mike Austin reviews a different kind of performance car – the Chevy SS at the IndyCar circuit on Detroit's Belle Isle. He's ably assisted by ace driver Simon Pagenaud. You must watch his hot lap! The SS is old-school V8 American muscle wrapped in Australian design and engineering. This AutoblogVR segment also launches on the app Sept. 13, and the teaser follows the Huracan preview above. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!
Peter Max staring down $1M lawsuit over Corvette collection sale
Wed, Dec 17 2014Pop artist Peter Max recently sold off his collection of 36 vintage Chevrolet Corvettes – one each from 1953 to 1989 – for an undisclosed amount. The new owners have already announced plans to restore some of them and auction the models off sometime soon. Up until then, the sports cars had been languishing in various garages around New York City for decades and were caked in dust and grime. However, Max's end of the transaction has just become more complicated, because two men are suing the artist claiming he employed them to complete the deal first. The men allege that Max hired them to broker the sale of the 36 Corvettes in exchange for a 10-percent commission, according to the New York Post. They claim to have emails and text messages proving the existence of the deal, and are taking Max to court for $1 million over the squabble. The collection of Corvettes was amassed in 1989 as part of a prize package from the television network VH1, and Max bought the cars from the winner intending on using them for an art project. He never got around to it, though, and parked the sports cars around New York, until he finally sold them over the summer.
