1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - Gold -454 With A 5 Speed on 2040-cars
Fairview, New Jersey, United States
I have a 1970 monte carlo, car was a 402 auto horseshoe shifter. Now its has a 454ci with a 5 speed manual trans and 373 posi rear. has headers and duel exhaust.aluminum radiator and upgraded suspension.all the gauges work but the clock, the radio was put in the glove compartment didn't want to cut up the dash. The car was painted about 5 years ago still shows very nice but not perfect. The fenders, doors where removed when it got painted so you may want to adjust them but im a perfectionist. started to protect the trunk but I stoped because it didn't need it should paint it back with speckle paint. The car will never go over 160 degrees. the underside looks perfect with no rust. There are no rips in the seats, dash is very good, carpet is new. all the lights work as they should(blinkers, headlights, backup lights). the car is very straight the paint is a metallic gold hard to see in the pics. The only place I found bondo on the car is at the top of the passenger door showed in a pic. The car runs and drives very strong you could come and see it and drive it home with out a problem. There is a crack in the fan shroud I will be giving the winner another one with the car.since the rebuild the engine has about 15k miles on it. Please feel free to come see it. due to the cars age its sold as is. Thank You and good luck Just bought 2 new door pads the one in the pic is bad and I got 2 brand new door pulls

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]
Wed, 15 May 2013We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
