I am selling my 2012 Chevrolet Malibu 2LT because I no longer have a use for the car. It was my daily driver since purchased new 1/31/2012. I now have a company vehicle. Majority of miles are from highway commutes between central Connecticut to south western end of the state. I'm looking for someone to buy/take over payments. Loan is through Ally Financial and is fixed at 0%. This car is in perfect condition as if it just came off the showroom, meticulously maintained...detailed at least once a month, not a stain or ding in/on the car. Oil changes (Mobile1 synthetic) and other maintenance taken care of on time.
As for options, it is loaded with all options on 2LT package as well as some more. Dealer installed fog lights and fog light bezels (Only LTZ models come with fog lights) and LTZ grille. I did have the front two windows tinted to match the factory rear tint. Also added Weather Tech color matched floor mats, AVS rain guards, Sport Wing color matched rear window spoiler lip. Also has K&N drop in air filter. Well over $1,200 in accessories.
Warranty on the car is factory 5 year/100,000 Mile powertrain warranty. As well as a dealer purchased "General Motors Major Guard Protection Plan". This protection plan is a 36 month/100,000 Bumper to Bumper warranty-Expires at 01/31/2015 or 100,011 miles. This is a great plan to have just in case anything ever goes wrong, no questions asked everything is under warranty. Please feel free to ask any questions! Thanks for looking

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.
Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]
Tue, 19 Mar 2013This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.
