I bought this car from a dealer who took it as a trade in from an older couple with just under 17,000 miles. It has always bee reliable and will do great for short commutes. It handles the back roads and highway well. I have never had any major issues with the engine or the transmission. Engine always fires right up and transmission shifts smoothly. There is some rust on the vehicle, but not beyond what you would expect for a vehicle of this age. It has always been driven by a non-smoker.
New rear tires and had a tune up around 100,000. The coolant has all drained out of a crack in the A/C system. I never took the time to have a dye added and the system checked, but I did have new coolant added about a year ago and the A/C worked great then. I also had an incident where someone broke into my car to steal it. The car was left because the starter didn't activate due to an anti-theft chip in the key. I had the steering column replaced, but there is a puncture in the passenger door near the lock. The lock was not damaged and I just never did anything with it. Figured it would tell any future thieves that it has been tried before. Drivers side seat motor has burned out as well. Asking $1200 or best offer. Cash, Money Order, or Cashier's check only. Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. Mon, Feb 2 2015Chevrolet took an early lead for the 2015 Super Bowl advertising crown with its spot for the all-new, 4G LTE-capable Colorado pickup in a spot that simulated a problem with your TV. The stark, simple ad then states that if you're lucky enough to have an Internet-capable vehicle, like the new Colorado, you'd at least be able to stream the game. GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
