I must sell my 1969 chevy 4dr impala as I do not want to but my wife said I must let it go. TOO MANY TOYS!!

Needs some restoration as it may have been sitting outside most of it's life. As far as I know the car was a one owner car that was owned by an 75 yr old man,it has 52400miles on the dash at this time and my Ins. was cheap if i drove her less then 50mi a yr. So that make me the second sole owner as of now. I have owned the car since 2002 til the present day. The car has a 350eng. with the O.G. ported heads runs ok once its warmed up, but needs a valve job and the starter that starts the car was done at PEP Boys Every other turn the starter will drag. The body of the car needs a complete sanding and paint job, hood hinges need replacing and it has minor rust (very minor)and a few dings here and there. The interior head liner is in great shape driver side bench seat has a rip in the cloth, and the arm rest on the driver door has wear on it, But the rear bench seat is in good shape the rear doors are very tit to open witch means no one got in the rear. I sealed the front and rear windshield from a leak. The dashboard has gotten one crack  in it as, i had the car covered and Cats came and ripped the car cover. New carburator, battery cables, new front disc brakes in a box. I have a box that has a complete front suspension kit for the steering and ball joints and A-arm bushings as well, A/C works just needs freon. So with all this said the car is "AS IS". If you need more info. or me to send additional pictures please ask and firm offers only!!!!!  405 823 9709 only bid if your ready to buy!!! as this car is for sale locally i reserve the right to end action if car sell at it highest price. Go to NADA.com and look up an every day driver you you will see the cars value but, I'm asking for less then half that so this car would be a great buy for the lucky bidder good luck

Hot air balloons caught in high winds drag fullsize SUV

Mon, Jul 20 2015

A sudden storm front whipped up enough wind to send some hot air balloons flying into the air in Wisconsin over the weekend. One ballon proved so energetic that it was able to drag a fullsize SUV across a field and into a stand of tents. The freak accident occurred at Balloonfest in Waterford, Wisconsin. Spectators were horrified as balloons dragged handlers to the ground and launched with terrified pilots clinging to their baskets. Organizers had started packing up the colorful balloons due to ominous storm clouds when the wind kicked up. "Happened just like that; it was crazy," Nathan Fricke, crew member, told Fox 6. Winds were clocked at 40 to 50 miles per hour. A balloon caught in the wind dragged a large SUV (we think a Suburban or Yukon XL) hundreds of feet and into a cluster of tents on the edge of the staging area where balloons were on display for festival goers. Considering that the SUV surely weighs well over 5,000 pounds, it's lucky that no one was injured in the incident. News Source: Fox6Now Weird Car News Chevrolet GM GMC SUV

Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.

Stolen '57 Chevy Returned To Owner After 30 Years

Fri, Feb 21 2014

Three decades after it was stolen, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been returned to a Northern California man - in better shape than when he originally owned it. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Ian "Skip" Wilson was shocked to get a call from the California Highway Patrol informing him that his long-lost Chevy was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship. The 65-year-old says the car has had a lot of work done on it since it disappeared from his Lake County home in 1984. It was returned with a monogrammed interior, 17-inch racing wheels, rack-and-pinion steering and a 350-horsepower V-8 engine. The retired mechanic says the two-door was in sorry shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with plans for fixing it up.
